With the fight about to start, the crowd begins to settle down. This
will be the second fight for each of the warriors, both of whom did
extremely well in their initial fights. The announcer introduces the two
competitors as they step through their doors.

Through the door comes Ivor. The gnome's features are a blurry dark
grey blob, with no noticeable features. There seems to be a bit of spring
in his step as he enters, with his cape billowing out behind him. Similar to
before, he holds his bow ready for action.

"Greetings," he says to everyone, then, looking at the opposing
entrance, he addresses Kymil, who has just slipped between the great doors
at the other entrance, "Let's help get these standings sorted
out," he suggests.

Kymil is dressed all in black, some say in mourning for his
soon-to-be-dead opponent. His twin shortswords are strapped at his belt and
he wears a mask over his face. A single stone circles his head. Sneering
across at Ivor he replies, "Time has run out for you my small friend. Will
you accept your fate?"

The gnome doesn't seem to be paying attention, focusing instead on his
aim. With his bow strung and loaded he holds his shot, waiting for the
judges to announcer the fight's commencement.

Suddenly the call comes, and Ivor releases his shot. Or shots.
Bursting from the bow are not one, but two, arrows. As they fly towards
Kymil, they are passed by a cluster of magic missiles. The magic missiles
are the quicker, speeding across the Arena. However, when they get ten feet
from Ivor they simply disappear.

The pair of arrows continue in their course, but with such a long shot
they drift off-course and both slam into the wall to the side of the entry
doors.

Ivor seems unsurprised at his bad aim, "t'was a long shot at best," he
says as he moves forward. After some 40 foot of travel, the gnome stops and
again levels his bow at his opponent.

At the same time, Kymil is floating forward, his feet a few inches off
the ground and advancing slowly, while going through the movements for
another spell.

Seeing that his enemy intends to stay out of melee range, Ivor launches
his arrows. A steady stream of them soon arc across the length of the
Arena. Kymil has advanced less than 40' when the arrows streak in. The
first strikes true, but it turns out Kymil has a displacement effect in
operation, and the arrow slams into the doors behind, shattering. The
second follows close on the fletchings of the first, also shattering on the
door.

Finishing his spell, Kymil extends his hand, and a lightning bolt
sizzles out from it. It races across the Arena, but is also stopped when it
gets within five feet of the gnome, creating a small rippling distortion in
the air around Ivor.

Of the final six of Ivor's arrows, four embed themselves in the gnome's
opponent. Kymil, with the four arrows protruding from his chest, seems
completely unfazed by their impact. He begins to float forward once more,
while beginning the chants of another spell.

Some of the crowd, those who were in the stands for Ivor's first fight
and came hoping to see him beaten, cheer at the seeming ineffectiveness of
Ivor's barrage of arrows.

While Kymil works through the words for his next spell, Ivor aims his
next shot. As he releases it, Kymil flicks his hand out, and an arrow comes
flying out of his palm. Hustling forward another forty feet while rising
ten feet into the air, Ivor releases a pair of arrows.

The crowd watches as the arrows arc through the air, wondering if any of
them will harm the competitors. Some of those in the stand also notice Ivor
flinch back from his bowstring hitting his arm when he shot the two arrows.

One of Ivor's arrows flies wide, but the other hits its mark, again
sinking into Kymil's torso. The half-elf doesn't seem to mind though,
intent on watching to see if his arrow will make it through whatever
defenses Ivor has surrounding him. His face is beginning to show some
irritation as this spell is defeated by Ivor's defenses, disappearing when
it comes within the last few feet of the gnome.

Ivor frowns at the ineffectualness of his arrows and proceeds, while
floating forward, to pull his cape around him and point his finger at his
opponent. Three bolts of energy fly out, only to dissipate some few feet in
front of him but an instant later. His frown deepens. "What's going on
here?" he asks.

Charging across the Arena, Kymil pulls a rope from it's place at his
belt. By the time Ivor has moved forward 120', Kymil has pulled up about
15' away and is swinging with his rope. The length of rope whips forward,
sailing over the small gnome's head.

A thoughtful look on his face, Ivor reaches to his belt, going for the
darts stowed there.

Kymil beats him to the punch, again swinging forward with the lasso.
This time his aim is correct, and the rope falls over Ivor's bow. With a
yank Kymil pulls back on the rope, bringing the bow with it. However, the
rope only makes it a few feet before it seems to hit a barrier of some sort.
The barrier holds, as does the bow, and Ivor is actually dragged a few
feet closer to his opponent.

Off balance from the tug of the rope, Ivor's first two darts fly off to
the sides, completely missing his opponent. The third one though is dead
on. It slams into Kymil and shatters, releasing the acid within, which
splashing onto the half-elf's torso. As some of the acid starts to burn in,
Kymil grimaces but ignores the pain.

Some of his black shirt has been eaten away and the exposed skin is red
from the acid.

Releasing his rope Kymil leaps away, to the side, landing thirty feet
away, and spins to face Ivor.

Ivor, spins to face Kymil, another pair of darts in hand. He hurls the
crystal weapons at Kymil, throwing a third right after. The first two just
miss, but the third dart smashes into Kymil's arm. The delicate weapon
shatters, spilling it's acid over the half-elf's arm. Kymil only grimaces
slightly as the acid eats away at his shirt, and the flesh underneath. As
he wipes at some of the acid a smile plays across his face.

Calling to Ivor he says, "I recognize it now. You don't have the cube
so it must be the spell instead. Well, we'll have to take care of that."

As Kymil goes through the motions of his spell, Ivor slowly sinks, until
his feet touch the floor of the Arena. Reaching down, he retrieves his bow.
Suddenly he looks up as a buzzing sound draws his attention to where Kymil
has finished his spell. Extending his hand, the half-elf points at Ivor,
and a bolt of lightning arcs from his hand, streaking across the Arena.
There is a slight rippling as it hits Ivor's protections, but the gnome's
defenses hold against the lightning.

Ivor slowly moves forward, but only goes 40 feet before stopping and
reaching to his quiver. Retrieving four arrows, he sticks them in the
ground. Grabbing the first, he aims at Kymil, who is again casting a spell,
and looses the arrow. Working his through the others, he soon has them all
in the air, winging their way towards his opponent.

The first and second arrows miss by mere inches. The last two lodge
themselves into Kymil's chest, but the half-elf ignores them as he continues
his spell. He soon finishes the spell, and another bolt of lightning races
across the Arena. This one too is absorbed by Ivor's defenses though.

As Ivor continues to move towards him, Kymil pauses, seemingly taking
stock of his options. Looking up to his opponent, a smile flickers
momentarily across his face as he calls to his opponent, "Well, your
protection is still up, but I am out of spells. It would seem that I am out
of options. So, I yield the battle to you."

While Kymil leans against the wall of the Arena, Ivor stops and signals
to the judges that he accepts the surrender. With a wave to his diminutive
foe, the half-elf steps backwards, into the wall, and is gone.
