Psionics Repel
Undead Description: Through this power, the Zedek harmonizes energies from the positive material plane, and broadcasts them out of his body at a frequency which is painful to undead. Although the radius of the effect is 15 feet, the positive energy rays continue to travel beyond this radius, making undead near the area of effect aware of the repulsion field at distances of up to 150 feet. Consequently, the power clearly broadcasts the Zedek's position. Undead caught in the 15' radius area of effect at the time the power is activated will flee the Zedek's person at their best speed to a distance beyond the 150 range at which the power is perceived. If a solid barrier prevents them from fleeing the area, they are held at bay until the power is deactivated or the protected Zedek moves away. Those outside the 15' radius at the time of activation do not necessarily flee, but will resist entering the area. The power remains centered on, and moves with, the protected Zedek. Mindless undead are automatically affected by this power--fleeing the 15 foot radius, or refusing to enter it. Free-willed intelligent undead are allowed a saving throw vs. petrification to enter or remain in the protected area for one round, and must save again at the beginning of each and every new round. Upon any failure to save, the power forces the undead creature to remain outside the 15' radius area of effect, or (if already within the area of effect) move directly away from the caster at full movement rate until beyond the 15' radius of the spell. Undead failing a saving throw but able to use missiles or spells may do so. Power Score: Area of Effect is 20' radius. Saves vs. petrification are made at -1 penalty. 20: Zedek attracts unwanted attention. All undead attacks at +1 for that round. |
