Nature's Cleansing

Nature's Cleansing

Lightning streaking, white fire,
Thunder crashing, booming violence,
Water pelting from the heavens
A winter storm breaks the silence.

Trees bowing to furious winds,
Animals cowering from thunder and lightning,
Humans hiding from drenching rain,
Nature's fury terrible and daunting.

When it clears the wreakage appears,
Scattered leaves and broken branches
Shattered glass and torn off shingles,
Mighty trees reduced to matches.

Of natures plan the birds then sing,
The storm a testament of her stryfe,
Has cleared the land of foul and stink,
has flooded the earth to bring new life.
