CHARACTER BACKGROUNDS AND RELATIONSHIPS
SCIENCE PERSONNEL
- Kristin Westphalen, Dr.
- Dr. Westphalen is fairly familiar with the majority of the crew from SeaQues's first tour, but still not too close to them. She seams to hold herself slightly apart from most of the crew. However, she still mothers Lucas around like he's a little kid and tries to pair him off with Lisa. She also plays the part of "translator" to the rest of the crew for Shan (especially), Lucas and Lisa. She has a VERY close relationship with Bridger.
- Julian Luna, Dr.
- Although he keeps to himself a lot, the dark and mysterious Julian Luna is never unfriendly and is always ready to lend some help and advice when asked for it. He likes to meditate in the dark to keep control of his powers and block out the "psycic babble" around him.
- Richard Shaw, Dr.
- Dr. Shaw is an immortal. He forms a very cautious friendship with Luna who knows that Shaw is hiding something but finds his mind to be like an impenetrable black wall whenever he tried to probe it.
- Harmon J. Dannen, Lt.
- Dannen is a smart, nice guy who, unlike most of SeaQuest's other new recruits, has no secrets or hidden agendas. He joined the UEO because it's a "family thing" and ended up on SeaQuest due to his skills and exceptional performance as an officer. He forms a friendship with Brody and Lisa after their collaboration on SeaQuest's new inorganic laser.
- William Shan, Lt.
- Shan is absolutely brilliant. A genius who doesn't seam to comprehend the fact that others don't understand the scientific mumbo jumbo he spews. He is working on his doctorate under Dr. Westphalen. He is also resposible for the upbringing of his sister, Lisa, after an accident killed their parents.
- Lisa Shan
- A strong rivalry forms between Lisa and Lucas after they get off on the wrong foot during their first meeting. An accident she was involved in when she was a child killed her parents and left her with amnesia. Her memories are slowly returning in short and confusing flashes that scare her quite a bit and reveal vague memories of Cain in a Shaolin temple she used to hang around.
- Lucas Wolenczak, Dr.
- Lucas has a crush on Lisa but absolutely refuses to admit it after the way their relationship got started. He is pretty friendly and forms ties with most of the crew.
