That was then, this is now
The Root of All Evil PBEM campaign starts countless millennia after both of the Amber chronicles. So much time has passed that none of the original characters
in the novels are known, not even in ancient legends.
Amber, The Courts of Chaos, and The Tree of Ygg are the three only truly real places in all of shadow. The Abyss is also part of reality, but is outside of boundaries of shadow.
The stuff of shadow has been considerably strengthened since the days
we knew. This is mainly because of the spread of the Blood of Reality right throughout shadow. But also because of the growth of The Tree of Ygg.
This makes it harder to manipulate shadows, shadow veils, and pathways, and extremely hard to destroy them.
Through the passage of time, knowledge of The Primal Pattern has been lost, and Corwin's Pattern does not exist, not even in memory.
