X-plained is a little idea of mine spawned from a conversation me and maz were having a bit back where we were trying to piece together how all of the different types of aliens we have seen over the years link together.  So here you can refresh your memory or try and get your head round some of the more complex mytharch threads.  If you spot any mistakes or god forbid have something you would like me to try to explain/simplify drop me a line.

Samantha x-plained . . .
? Samantha, Mulders sister disappeared when he was young, he reckons she was abducted bright lights bla bla bla
? We then meet [?] Samatha several times in the course of the x files.  In colony she returns but it turns out to be one of a handful of Samantha clones who have been looked after by fathers from another world but they all die and turn into green goo
? Then there are the drones that work on the bee farm, once again not actually Samantha
? And then the one that calls CSM her father in One Son we are told that this still insn't the real samantha, quell suprise

the different types of aliens x-plained

OK there’s the Alien Bounty Hunter who bleeds green corrosive ooze and poisonous gas.  He can morph [as far as I know only into other humanoids] and you can only kill him by stabbing him in the back of the neck.  If you cut him any where else gree gas flows out of him which makes you choke and eventually kills you by thinckening your blood.  The onset of this can be slowed down at cold temperatures and treated with blood transfusions.  He totally kicks ass, appearing to be really strong and fast as well, but check this out he can also heal people.

? Just like our old friend Jeremiah Smith who can also morph, heal etc.  [Which leads me to think they are the same breed of alien but hey that's just a guess]

? Black Oil/Black Cancer uses an oily substance to transfer its self from person to person.  It crawls in through your mouth, eyes and nose and leaves your eyes appearing clouded.  It takes over you and controls your body, kinda, sending you really aggressive.
It appears to give the host the power to radiate this bright light and toast people around them.  Apparently (Tunguska) it could have come from a meteorite, comet or even be a piece of anti mater [anti matter yeah right, totally going against all laws of Physics, well i.m.h.o.].  However we have luckily got a vaccine which can be used to cleanse infected people.  We also find out later that it can be either kept in or out by simply sewing up your eyes and mouth, nifty [so why doesn't it just go up the nose? and if they've got that sewn up how do they breath?]

? Ice Alien, enlarged head, 4 fingers, 3 toes, humanoid.  Found frozen in ice by some geologists.  Aparently gestates in humands and then breaks out when gestation is complete.  The 'virus' which causes these to gestate in you is spread by the bees . . . . I think.  Once it has gestated it seems to need somewhere warm or make that HOT to continue to develop and then  . . . . I think . . .it turns into a grey

? Spider Aliens [aliens?] go through your mouth and eat all your internal organs [yum]

? Then there are the infamous triangular ships that Mulder has seen quite frequently.  [Which type flys them I wonder?  answers on a post card to the usual address]

?  Rebel aliens that want to stop the colinisation and have sewn up their mouths and eyes.  They would be the good guys but as every phile knows there's no such thing, they tourch people with flame throwers

Scully's abduction thread x-plained
? Goes missing after investigating a case to do with abductions
? She re appears months later in a hospital, in a coma
? Frohike steals her chart and finds she has branched DNA (as if it has been experimented with)
? When she wakes up she remembers nothing
? She finds a metal implant in her neck (when going through a metal detector)
? She undergoes hypnotherapy, and it sounds like she was abducted by aliens [?]
? When investigating a case she bumps into a group of women (MUFON) who all say they were abducted and that they remember seeing Scully in their abduction experiences, they also all have had implants removed just like Scull. Some of them are dying of cancer
? Agent Pendrel examines Scull.s chip saying it can somehow hold memories [?]
? Leonard Betts (this guy who eats cancer [?]) tells Scull. in a round about way that *she* has cancer
? All the MUFON women, bar one, die of cancer
? She manages to talk to the last one before she dies.  She says that she comforted Scully "in the place, after the tests".  She also tells Scull. That a fair few of the MUFON women were infertile and having fertility treatment.
? Mulder finds a file on Scull. at the same fertility clinic as the MUFON's were being treated
? When the Lone Gunmen hack into the Lombard Facility they find more evidence of the branchedd DNA which Byers says could be prone to mutation causing her illness
? An alien hybrid shows Mulder a file containing Scully's Ova [yum?] harvested during her abduction
? Whilst running around in a government installation M. sees loads of women strapped to tables.  They seem to be undergoing the same tests as Scull. did during her abduction [confirming Scull. was abducted by the government not aliens]
? He also finds in the Pentagon basement in a huge antiquated filing system a vial with Scull.s name on it, which turns out to contain an implant like the one she had removed
? Scull. Following a hunch runs a test on her own DNA and finds it is hybridized with the same virus from an ice core sample taken from where an alien was found.  This proves to her that her illness is connected to her abduction.
? Scull then recovers after i) putting the chip in ii) turning back to her faith
? Scull. Discovers she is also infertile, just like the MUFON women
? She discovers she has a test tube daughter, Emily, who bleeds green ooze
? M. finds another Scully embryo in a jar of green ooze at another weird fertility clinic
? She is drawn to a bridge along with other abductees
? It turns out Casandra Spender (and so presumably the rest of the abducties) was abducted by the Government, in order to create a human alien hybrid for the aliens.  Casandra was a sucess . . . colinisation can begin anytime now. . . . .presumably
