Raven - SC BEAVER
As an admiral Aly is beyond comparison, but then I arrived after she took over so I've nothing to compare with (g) however in terms of pure dedication and commitment to the club, as well as being good at her job she will be a tough act for anyone to follow. To cope with a huge RL workload, a massive admiralty workload, her other responsibility's in the game and yet STILL find time to interact with a clueless newbie who was stuck waiting for his VIPER mission. Well that 'clueless newbie' found his feet and is now a 'clueless SC' and reckons that if he can do 1/10 of the good that she has for the club then he will be doing well.

Geoffrey - CO USS HORIZON
Aly- Wow... what can I say? I don't think there are enough words to convey my admiration. Aly is one of the Most Inspirational people I've ever met on line and off, her enthusiasm and positive manner seems to permeate to the people she meets, making the world in general a nicer place. Never have I met someone who can be so diplomatic in the most emotional situations, a quality I greatly envy. Her work for the fleet has turned this RPG into one of the fun and best run around. Aly,   As I've watched you perform your duties as the Fleet Admiral, I wonder if the average player understands the sacrifices you've made for the club. You've sacrificed not only your time, but in some cases your money for a job that has so little reward. I hope you know that all of us on the Athene are so very grateful for you .... you've helped keep the game fun - thanks.

I remember a young cadet, straight out of the academy stumbling across your ICQ number somewhere and looking you up. You were pestered by the guy for weeks, as he asked you all manner of questions from how the fleet worked to where he could find things. I guess he must have had it in his head that you were his personal encyclopaedia.
Well, a lot of thanks need to go to you because that "young cadet" is now one of the cocoon's Squadron commanders. Namely me. Thank you for giving your time to all the little people. Knowing that the "higher ups" actually cared about everyone in the club, not just the "important" ones, was very reassuring for me. It also helps me, daily, to try to be the kind of help to others, that you were to me.

I would like to thank Aly for all that she has done for the Holoworld Fleet and myself in general. I know many times she has worked tirelessly doing this or that for the Fleet while trying to maintain her own pursuits in the real world. She has been a great asset to us all and she will be dearly missed. I would like to personally thank her for all she has helped me with and for putting up with all my questions and griping. I know I have been a big pain in her backside and yet we are still friends. Thanks for everything Aly!

Aly, Thank you so very much for all you've done for us as a group. Thank you even more personally for keeping an ear open for budding problems!! It was a rather ridiculous thing, for me to forget about the way subscribing/unsubscribing to lists occurs, but you didn't add to my embarrassed feelings at all. You simply and graciously reminded me of the way it goes and I thank you wholeheartedly for that kind of gentle consideration!
My bean-pole brother wears shoes we liken to aircraft carriers, but I think the metaphorical shoes you're leaving empty are far bigger!!

I advised you to take the Admiral's job when Tatya asked you and for that, I hope one day you will forgive me ;) I knew then that you would make a truly fair and honest Admiral. I also know how many sleepless nights you have had worrying about various things. When you took over, we all set about the task of attempting to reduce the amount of stress that the Admiral's job carried. What we didn't know at the time was that the club was about to go through one of the toughest upheavals since its formation. The work you did in moving the web pages, many of which needed to be completely rewritten and the setting up of a new way for us to send our posts when we lost the majordomo lists was nothing short of monumental. Clark is taking over a club that is still not perfect, but thanks to you, it is in much better shape than it might have been.
