The traditional Irish cottage is whitewashed with a thatched roof. Sadly enough, this architectural style is fast becoming a victim of modern society and disappearing, especially in such developed areas as Leinster. Seat of power and commerce, Leinster is home to the capital city of Dublin and Trinity College. Leinster is also home to some of the oldest Irish churches, though it wasn't until Viking King Olaf was baptised here that Christianity began to take root.
