" 'xcuse me Miss."  Gambit had been trying to get a clerk to help him for the last fifteen minutes without any luck.

" 'xcuse me ..."  His voice trailed off as another clerk passed him by.  "Dis get'tin old."  He mumbled to himself.  However, he really couldn't blame the clerks.  Never in all his days had he ever seen so many pregnant women in one place and at one time.  Even if they weren't pregnant they were carrying small babies.  "Geez!  De Stork be busy in dese parts."  He scratched behind his right ear. "Musta be somet'ing in de water."  He mused.

Remy looked at his watch.  "It's get'tin late and I'm get'tin ticked off."  He narrowed his sun glassed eyes, then he did a slow full circle where he stood to see if he could spot a clerk that maybe could help him.

"Dere's one."  He spotted a young girl wearing a yellow smock top with a Stork applique embroidered on the front like the other clerks that had past him.  She looked like she was stocking some type of shelf.

The closer Remy got the more he could tell about her.  She was stocking a couple of shelves of baby formula.  " 'xcuse me Miss."  He said from behind her.  "But could ya help me find some'thin for my babies.

The young girl was placing a can of formula up on the shelf when she turn around to see who was talking to her.  Whewwwww!  She whistled in her head.  He is gorgeous!  She nearly dropped the can in her hand.  "Yes Sir."  She grinned.  "How can I help you?"

"T'ank goodness.  Ya know I was start'in ta t'ink dat ya had ta have a tummy out ta dere ..."  He made a circle with his arms.  "... and retain water ta get waited on in dis place."

"It's not required, but it helps," she giggled.  "I'm sorry you have not been waited on before now.  For some reason we are always a little busier this time of the year."  She shrugged.  "What do you need help with."

"Car seats."

"A Car Seat?"  She stressed the singular form of the word.

Gambit shook his head, No.  "Unt uh. S. E. A. T. SSSSS'."  He stressed the 's' at the end of the word.

"Oh!  You are expecting, well not 'you' but your significant other is expecting more than one baby?"

"Um Hum.  Chere is expect'in twins."

"Well congratulations.  When are they due?"

Gambit did the math in his head.  "She deliver in 'bout middle of  April.  Doc says dey appear ta be identical too."

"Really.  Your Doctor can tell that this early?  He must be some Doctor."

Gambit thought of the blue furred Hank and all the high tech Shi'ar equipment he used,  "Yeah ... ya could say dat."

She bend over briefly to push the remaining cans of formula out of anyones way that might come along.  "O. K."  She stood back up.  "Follow me."  She motioned for Gambit to follow her to the back of the store where all the carriers, strollers and car seats were displayed.

When they arrived, Gambit was in awe of all the equipment that lined the shelves.  Every possible size and color of baby equipment lined six rows of tall shelves.  "Great Day in de morn'in!"  He looked from one end to the other.

"Well ... the selection is extensive, but we can narrow it down.  Even if you don't find what you want, we have a catalogue that you can order from the main warehouse."  She laid her hand off toward the shelves.  "But since you aren't due for a while, you really only need something to carry your babies in that you can strap down with the seat belt.  You can wait until the babies get bigger before you buy the actual car seats.  But some opt to buy it all at one time, because if the child don't need it then they most certainly will need it at a later time."

He did not say a word as he started walking down the first aisle.

"Where's your wife or girlfriend?  Maybe she can help you decide on what to get?"

"Nah ... dis be a surprise for her."

"Oh."

Gambit looked at her dumbfounded.  "I have'nt a clue."  He scratched his head over his right ear.  "Wha' do ya suggest?"

Storm walked into the kitchen just as Bishop was setting the stack of pizza's down on the kitchen table.  "Oh my.  I knew Remy was getting lunch for us four but this is ridiculous."  She smiled up at him.

"Well I sort of decided to get enough for everybody."  He admitted.

"That was kind of you."  There is something about him ... I can not put my finger on it.  She studied him.

"Yeah."  He turned away to go to the intercome/monitor system that was located over by the main door.  I need to talk to Remy.  Bishop was trying to make his get away from Storm, but he was not so lucky.

Storm grabbed Bishop's arm to stay him in place.  He guiltily looked down at her.  "Where is my kiss?"  She pouted her ruby red lips up to him.

Oh.  "Right here."  He bend down to give her a small peck on her cheek before he pulled out of her grasp.

That is it?  "I was expecting a little more."  She pouted.

Bishop continued over to the system.  "Uh, sorry.  I'm a little preoccupied."

"So I see."  She narrowed her eyes at him.

I know that look.  I'd better come up with something.  "Wait until you see what Father has bought."

Storm folded her arms in front of her.  "I certainly hope it is not another bike.  Rogue found out about his wreck and she is fit to be tied."  She warned.

Bishop paused, "She did?"  That means I lost the bet!  Shoot!  He busied himself with switching on the intercome system throughout the complex.  He was trying to ignore Storm's presence for fear she would be able to see something in his eyes.  With the button pressed 'on', "Anyone wanting pizza from Luigi's for lunch, there are two different kinds on the kitchen table.  Come and get it!"  His voiced echoed briefly.  He could feel that she was still watching him.  I wonder where is Remy?    He kept his back turned as he switched on the monitor.  It scanned all of the cameras that were strategically place on the grounds.  There he is!  Bishop spotted Remy coming in one of the side entrances.

Storm walked up behind him.  He slightly turned when he heard her approach.  "Well ... did Remy buy another motorcycle Bishop?"

"Nope.  He opted for something for Rogue instead."  He stepped to one side so she could see what Gambit was now climbing out of.

"Oh my word!  That is beautiful.  She's going to love it!"

Hank, Scott, Bobby, Sam, Warren, Betsy, Wolverine and lastly a very sluggish blood shot eyed Joseph filed into the kitchen behind them.  Storm turned toward the table.  "Leave Rogue and Jean a couple of the vegetarian slices please."  She instructed the hungry mob.

When she turned back around, Bishop was gone.  Now what was that all about?  She looked all around the room then out into the hall way.  There is no sign of him,  she thought as she turned back toward the table.  "Hey!  Did I not say for to leave some for Rogue and Jean!"  She pointed her finger at the greedy mob as she moved toward them.

Gambit was busy securing the giant red bow to the top of his latest purchase, when he felt someone approaching him.  Judging by de speed and mass ...... hummmmm must be Pup.  "Hey Pup!"  He called out over his shoulder.  "I t'ought you'd be knee deep in pizza by now."  He joked as Bishop came into view in front of him.

Bishop walked to the opposite side of the vehicle.  He busied himself with helping Remy line up and secure the bow in place.  "No", he shook his head.  "I've sort of lost my appetite.  I hope you don't mind, I used the whole fifty to get enough for everyone."

Gambit shrugged, "Why should I mind?"  He chuckled.  "Should've t'ought of dat myself."  Gambit stepped back to see if everything was to his liking.  "Dere!"

Bishop stepped back to look over the vehicle too.  He bend down to take a closer look into the back seat.  "You've been shopping."

"Oui."  Gambit found the keys in his front pocket.  Taking them out, he tossed them to Bishop.  "Do me a favor will ya Pup?"

Bishop reached out to catch them in one hand.  "Sure."

"Drive her around front whiles I go get Rogie."

Bishop let the keys swing from one side to the other while he slipped off into nothing, his mind a million miles away. "Sure."

Gambit started to turn and walk away when he noticed the Bishop hadn't moved.  He turned back around, "Pup?"

Bishop did not answer.

Gambit walked up to him.  "Bishop?"  He said a little louder.

Bishop shook himself out of  his trance when he heard Remy call his name.  "Oh ... sorry Remy."

"Are ya alraht Bish?"

"Yeah ... sure ... whatever you say Remy?  Remy?  I need to talk to you about something."

Gambit looked at his watch.  It was getting late and he did want Rogue to see what he'd gotten for her.  "Sure Pup, but can't it wait until later?"

Bishop exhaled, "Sure.  It'll keep."  He nodded his head up and down slowly.

Gambit slapped him on his upper arm.  "Good."  He started to walk off again.  "Ya come up ta mine and Rogie's old room after dis over wit'.  Ya can help me move my t'ings out.  We talk den."

Bishop did not answer him back. He watched Gambit retreating figure dissappear into the main house  by the side kitchen's door.  Surely between the two of us, we can come up with something...........I hope.
