1998 Golden Globe Awards 
On January 18, 1998 The 55th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced. After only five years on the air, The X-Files received it third Golden Globe. Not bad for a series everyone thought would be cancelled after a year! Although both David and Gillian were nominated for awards, both failed to win in their respective categories.
David and Gillian were also there to present the awards for Best Actor and Actress in a Comedy Series. They seemed to have much more fun with it than they did at the Emmys, as Gillian attempted to speak into a microphone that was taller than her. David again came with his wife Tea Leoni, but Gillian came alone this time, in yet another trippy dress.
