3) What was your favourite 'shippy scene of the end of season six?
4) What was your favourite 'shipper moment of the end of season six, and why did you like it so much?
Here's what some of you had to say:
Emily - My favorite was the last scene in Milagro when Scully broke down in Mulder's arms! I think it showed that Mulder is the only person she would ever let see her like this.
Shannon - Honestly I liked moment in "Field Trip" where, during Mulder's hallucination, both he and Scully are staring at the alien. The expression on her face, as she slowly realizes that he's (supposedly) right is classic, and his reaction during the "show and tell" is awesome. I know that others will probably pick "Hips before hands", and that grabbed me as well, but I like moments that don't force UST on me. The "FT" moment is understated, and the expressions are more in line with the recognition of one another's POV which they've been wrestling with for years. In that moment, although I knew it was Mulder's hallucination, I could almost see this happening in the XF universe in some way. It was powerful-- watch it again if you don't think so.
bumskirt - It had to be that baseball lesson. That was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I dunno. I almost cried, I'm such a sucker for love. It showed that Mulder and Scully, even being the work-aholics they are, still have time to have some fun. It was also nice because they were both beaming, and when they're happy, I am too. The ice cream (yuck, I don't think you could call that ice cream) war in that episode was adorable too, but at the end of that scene where Scully said "you rebel" struck me as a surprise. That line didn't seem like anything the character Agent Dana Scully would ever say, (hmm...must have been that low fat no calorie fruity rice cream.) but also showed that Scully, when she wanted to had a great sense of humour.
SPECIAL AGENT SARAHI - I loved the end of The Unnatural - they were soooooooo happy!
jennifer - The end of The Unnatrual. They were both having fun and they look so natural together just like two newlyweds.
Chester - I like that scene [The baseball lesson in "The Unnatural"] because it was so cute the way Mulder was holding Scully.
Spooky - When Scully was crying on Mulder's shoulder at the end of Milagro.
Audrey - I liked the 'Milagro' scene a lot because it showed a different side of Scully. And it was just so cute!
crrose - The baseball lesson in "The Unnatural." The look of pure joy on both Mulder and Scully's faces was wonderful to watch. Neither usually smile so brightly. Also, when Mulder put his hand on Scully's hip showing her how to hit was pretty hot.
Spooky2 - The scene in Milagro where Fellig says that he wrote that Agent Scully falls in love, but that is impossible because Agent Scully is already in love. Scully's touch on Mulders arm in the jail cell was pretty good too.
joe_smith - My favorite shipper moment was the ice cream wrestle and the baseball lesson in The Unnatural. Those scenes make me smile everytime I see them because Mulder and Scully are acting like high school kids who like each other.
Late Bloomer - I liked the spontaneous hand-hold from "Field Trip" because it was them reaching out instinctively for one another at a vulnerable moment. All their defenses and pretenses were down and the truth came through...they need one another.
kstrustno1@hotmail.com - I really enjoyed Milagro. The relationship Mulder portrayed at the end was impeccable. It fit him and his character rather nicely. I also enjoyed Milagro as a whole, not for the relationship aspect, but the whole "X-File weirdness" that, throughout the season was, I hate to say, lacking. Don't get me wrong, I love the show and season six was really good, I was just a little disappointed. (But I will say that the shipperness went up more this season then ever before)
Melly - The baseball lesson...do I really need to explain myself?? If I wrote fanfic, I could have done volumes on that. And, my God! Scully looked like she was having FUN!! My friends who were over at my house watching with me thought I was psycho because I was cooing at the screen. OK, mybe I AM psycho, but that's hardly the point...
Kim #1 - The best "Shipper" moment was the baseball lesson in "The Unnatural." It was great to see them in a relaxed enviornment, outside of work. It was nice seeing them enjoy each other's company outside of the office.
Suse - It's a hard scene to pick because I have two favourites - the baseball scene at the end of The Unnatural and the handhold at the end of Field Trip. I guess for me it's a tie!
Kim #2 - I just LOVED it when Mulder was teaching Scully how to play baseball. They were both laughing, and did you see Mulder put his hand on Scully's side!!!! That is so awesome!! I get pumped up just thinking about it!!!
Sandra - I loved the end of The Unnatural. Chris Carter should let David Duchovny write more scripts! He knows the characters so well!
Jake4me - I'd have to say it was the baseball lesson in "The Unnatural". I felt it showed the characters relaxed with each other, how you would imagine they would be together outside of work. For crying out loud it's right in front of their faces - GET IT ON ALREADY!!
Becky - My favorite moment was during the baseball lesson scene in "Unnatual" when Mulder said "Come here, Scully" in that incredibly sexy, half-serious, half-playful tone of voice.
Xangel - [The baseball lesson in "The Unnatural"] was beautiiiiiiiifullllllll.
Joann - The baseball lesson in "The Unnatural" was very light-hearted and gave me the warm fuzzies. At the end of the episode, I just sat there with a huge stupid grin on my face. (hehheh) Besides, I thought the entire episode was very well-done. Kudos to Mr. Duchovny.
DramaKween - The talk ouside the car from Dreamland 2. "I'd kiss you if you weren't so damn ugly." Need I say more?
kathy - There were so many, I have enjoyed them all. I also think the hand holding in Field Trip was a wonderful moment.
sculldog - The baseball lesson: "Hips, then hands..." How cute was that?
scully_lovr - I like the ambulance hand hold in [Field Trip] and I like the sobing thingie in Milagro.
secret_agent_kt@aol.com - I loved the part in Milargo where [the author] says that he made a mistake, that he had written that Scully fell in love, but that that was clearly impossible as she was already in love. There was soooo much sexual tension in that episode... I love it!
Carolina - The baseball scene in The Unnatural. Just look at Scully... She was laughing! Can you believe it? Hips then Hands...Got it?
5) Season six has been full of great insinuations and 'shippy quotes. Which one did you like the best?
From these results, the consensus seems pretty clear - David Duchovny should write more X-Files. "The Unnatural" cleaned up in this survey, scoring big points in the best episode, best scene, and best quote categories. However, it wasn't completely without competition. The favourite quote was none other than Mulder's glorious admission in "Triangle." The intense "Milagro" also had a strong showing, coming in second in every category...except worst show, of course. That dubious honour went to "Alpha." Mabye Jeff Bell would do best to stick to sweet little melodramas like "Rain King"...
