3)What was your favourite 'shippy scene of the beginning of season seven?
4) What was your favourite 'shipper moment of the end of season six, and why did you like it so much?
Here's what some of you had to say:
Suse - It has to be the doorway scene in Amor Fati. Mulder and Scully were about as honest about their feelings and commitment to each other as we've ever seen them, and Scully's caress of Mulder's lips at the end of the scene was the most overt romantic move she's ever made. Wonderful!
Anonymous 1 - Just think. What else is there? [Note: I believe they are referring to the kiss in "Millennium". ]
spooky - I liked the scene in Rush where Scully is asking Mulder to please check out some of the suspect's friends - "Please Mulder? Just for me?" Also it looked like she was playing with his tie or lapel as she was speaking to him. We don't usually get to see Scully flirt. That's Mulder's teritory. In that same episode, I also liked Mulder's line to Scully at the end - "What if we are too old?" He had the sweetest look on his face.
Petra - The whole doorway scene in "Amor fati" because it really shows how much they care about each other.
Phoebe - I loved the ending of Amor Fati - not the forehead kiss so much as the conversation. For so long, the feelings between Mulder and Scully have been displayed only in vague comments or absent-minded gestures until that moment, neither admitted to themselves or the other that they needed the other. Whether a shipper or noromo, that scene was powerful. Our dynamic duo finally acknowledged to each other in no uncertain terms, that they are in fact, two parts of the same whole.
scully_is_already_in_LUV - I loved every single shippy scene... Umm when they kissed I found myself saying "I can die happy now." So them kissing is my favorite moment...though not the best scene. I loved "Rush". The look Scully gives Mulder for talking to the blonde is fabulous.
skelter00 - It has to be the Millennium kiss because for seven years me and most shippers out there have been waiting for this moment. I mean c'mon they KISSED!
Sandra - The ending of Amor Fati was one of the most powerful Mulder and Scully scenes in the show's seven year history.
Anonymous 2 - It was their first kiss.
bumskirt - Probably the moment before and the moment after the kiss. Because that kiss itself was crap! Haven't you all heard the saying, "A kiss ain't a kiss without any tongue?" Nah, it was pretty corny.
Christine Killius - I just loved Amor Fati overall as an episode. It was very shippy, but it was basically the essence of The X-Files and the love and trust between Mulder and Scully. Of course, I also loved THE KISS.
Paragrap - The doorway scene at the end of Amor Fati when Mulder tells Scully that she is his touchstone, his constant and Scully admits to him that he is hers also. I was gratified to finally see Scully break down some of her emotional walls and finally admit even if only in a small way that she loves Mulder. It was nice to finally have a small moment of resolution to their years of unresolved sexual tension. Another superbly written scene by Chris Carter and acted wonderfully by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. It's amazing how they can convey so much in a few emotion filled glances!
River - Definitely the doorway scene in Amor Fati. I loved the entire episode so much and the end just seem to solidify everything they've experienced together and just how much they need each other. Absolutely beautiful.
Mooni - I liked in Rush when Mulder checked out that girl and Scully gave him "The look" and he goes "What??"
Milagro - I really liked Amor Fati and Millennium because they are so cute and they are milestones in the relationship between Mulder and Scully.
spookgrrly - Millennium of course!!! It's finally happened!!! "The world didn't end." "No, it didn't." That has soooo many meanings!
kramerica - [My favourite scene was the] doorway scene at the end of Amor Fati, because I knew then that Scully really loved Mulder.
Kit - I loved in "Hollywood AD" when Mulder was all upset because in the movie 'Scully' was attracted to Skinner for his 'bigger flashlight'.
Jane Bond - I loved the Millennium kiss because it was so romantic, even though there wasn't any tongue! The X-Files seems to be able to do that show romance without the two characters sucking each other's faces off (although I wouldn't mind seeing that at the end of the show). I also liked how Scully was flirting so much in Rush.
5) What was your favourite 'shippy quote from the beginning of season seven?
Not much deviation in this survey. The pick for the favourite quote was fairly "constant," while the Mulder and Scully light "Hungry" failed to satisfy the appetite of the average 'shipper. The only real race came in the best show and best scene categories. "Amor Fati" and its intense hallway scene just nudged ahead of "Millennium," the episode in which Mulder and Scully shared their first official kiss. Awwwww...
