Survey #6 Results

Since the fifth season is now over, it seems time to start another survey. Over the past couple of months I've got wonderful results for this, the sixth 'shipper survey, and I thought it was time to share them! A big thank you to all who participated. Here are the results:

1) What was your favourite 'shippy show of 1998?

2) What was your least favourite 'shippy show of season five?

3) What was your favourite 'shippy scene from 1998?

4) What's your favourite 'shipper moment of 1998, and why did you like it so much?

Here's what some of you had to say:

Jessica - I think that every time they're together is a great moment. I love seeing them interact and that tension between them is so great that I really hope they don't get together on the show. I totally agree with you that I love them together but to get them together, romantically on the show would just ruin it. I think a line that shows it is, "See? We have communication like that unspoken. You know what I'm thinking." But out of the ones you listed, I think that when he holds her hand in her regression phase kind of shows that he'll always be there and that he never wants her to feel alone or scared. That to me was one of my favorite 'shipper moments.

Anasazi - The Red and the Black......say no more!

AVPbush683@aol.com - My favorite shipper moment was when mulder kept calling scully and then he said "marry me". I liked it cos it was funny. But i don't want Mulder & Scully to have a love type relationship. They are partners and if the do end up getting together..the show won't be as good anymore. It should stay the way it is. It'll just ruin the show..thats what i think.

redux182 - In detour when scully pulls mulder into her lap. It was just very unexpected and very sweet. You never see they're feelings expressed like that.

5) Do you think Mulder and Scully will have an initimate relationship in the movie?

6) Should Mulder and Scully will have an initimate relationship in the movie?

7) If Mulder and Scully do have an initimate relationship in the movie, how much do you think it will impact the series?

The people who completed this survey couldn't agree on much, but they did agree on one thing - "The Red and the Black" and "Chinga" were the two best 'shipper shows from early 1998. As for the worst show, well, that was a toss up, but "Patient 'X'" emerged with the most votes. The same thing happened with the best 'shipper scene! You guy couldn't decide between the two hand-holds in "The Red and the Black" and the phonecalls in "Chinga." They're all great, though, so I can see your predicament. On the topic of the movie, things got a bit clearer. Mulder and Scully might have an intimate relationship in the movie (and from the previews, that now seems possible), and with most of you, that's okay. However, it will have an effect the rest of the series, impacting the series a lot.
