How I got into Fantasy

I've been into fantasy stuff for about five years now. I started out just reading books (mostly Dragonlance) and discovered that they were awesome! People having magical powers, Huge warriors going on quests to save people, Bad guys that you could really hate! Lloyd Alexander's Pyrdain series enthralled me and I laughed at Gurgi all the time.

When I moved to Utah I met some kids who played something called Dungeons and Dragons and they wanted me to play too. Well I started and thought it was great! Now I could actually be all those character's that I read about.

Time went by and I left seventh grade. Most of my friends quit playing D&D.There was nothing I could do about it until I met this kid called Lewis. He was in a grade above me but he was a DM and a good one by his reputation.

It was hard to get to know Lewis at first. He didn't talk much and he always hung around his own group of friends. On my 13th birthday I had a huge sleep over and invited him. We tried to get a game going that night but there were too many distractions, but I did learn that he was still very intersested in RPG's and not just D&D but other's.

Well Lewis lived about five miles away from me at the time and I didn't really ever see him except for at school and there wasn't too much we could do there. I didn't really think I'd ever play again but as chance would have it my family moved once more.

We moved right accross the street from him in Columbia, a sub-division of East Carbon Utah. Suffice it to say I got to know Lewis and his brother Clark (yes, Lewis and Clark. No they're not the same people, gosh come on think a little). We started to play a little but I never really got the time to play a good long game (I still haven't). I lived in Columbia for two years until I moved back into East Carbon.

I have grown to love Story Games and Fantasy in general quite a bit since fourth grade when I began. Lewis is always thinking of cool things to do; in the games and out. He never quits surprising me. There's alot of fantasy stuff I want to put on this page but I'm not too sure how to do it. Come back often though as I will be getting the fantasy stuff up as soon as I think of a good way to portray it. In the meantime enjoy the rest of my site.
