The Dark Prophecy

(reference on Pg. 89 TGH HB)

Daughter of the Night, she walks again.
The ancient war, she yet fights.
Her new lover she seeks, who shall serve her and die, yet serve her still.
Who shall stand against her coming?
The Shining Walls shall kneel.
Blood feeds blood.
Blood calls blood.
Blood is, and blood was, and blood shall ever be.

The man who channels stands alone.
He gives his friends for sacrifice.
Two roads before him, one to death beyond dying, one to life eternal.
Which will he choose? Which will he choose?
Blood feeds blood.
Blood calls blood.
Blood is, and blood was, and blood shall ever be.

Luc came to the Mountains of Dhoom.
Isam waited in the high passes.
The hunt is now begun. The Shadow's hounds now course and kill.
One did live, and one did die, but both are.
The Time of Change has come. Blood feeds blood.
Blood calls blood.
Blood is, and blood was, and blood shall ever be.

The Watchers wait on Toman's Head.
The seed of the Hammer burns the ancient tree.
Death shall sow, and summer burn, before the Great Lord comes.
Death shall reap, and bodies fail, before the Great Lord comes.
Again the seed slays ancient wrong, before the Great Lord comes.
Now the Great Lord comes.
Now the Great Lord comes.
Blood feeds blood.
Blood calls blood.
Blood is, and blood was, and blood shall ever be.
Now the Great Lord comes.

And now the interpretation by Verin
(reference on Pg. 90-92 TGH HB)

- "Daughter of the Night" is Lanfear
- "Lord Luc...was brother to Tigraine, then the Daugher-Heir of Andor, and he vanished into the Blight."
- "Who Isam is, or what he has to do with Luc, I do not know, however." - (Moiraine's thoughts) "Isam had been the son of Breyan, wife of Lain Mandragoran, whose attempt to seize the throne of Malkier for her husband had brought the Trolloc hordes crashing down...And Isam had been blood kin to Lan. Or is blood kin?"
- "'The Watchers wait on Toman Head.' The Do Miere A'vron, the Watchers Over the Waves, still have a...community is the best word, I suppose...on Toman Head, at Falme. And one of the old names for Artur Hawkwing was Hammer of the Light."
- "Now, 'the ancient tree'...there have always been rumors - no more than that - that while the nations of Almoth still lived, they had a branch of Avendesora, perhaps even a living sapling. And the banner of Almoth was 'blue for the sky above, black for the earth below, with the spreading Tree of Life to join them.' Of course, Taraboners call themselves the Tree of Man, and claim to be descended from rulers and nobles in the Age of Legends. And Domani claim descent from those who made the Tree of Life in the Age of Legends."
- "The Time of Change refers to the end of an Age, and the Great Lord-"
- "the man who channels must be one of the three young men traveling with you, Moiraine."

And a few of my thoughts on this Prophecy

- "Her now lover she seeks" is probably refering to Lanfear searching for Rand.
- "The Shining Walls shall kneel." does is say to who? Nope. But it more likely will to be Rand.
- "Two roads before him, one to death beyond dying, one to life eternal." This one is a bit unclear. But the roads must be choosing whether to side with the Dark One or not. With what the books say, it leads you to think the 'Death beyond dying' part must be if Rand doesn't side with the Dark One. But wouldn't it be smarter to use Rand and after the Dark One wins, to kill Rand permanently to eliminate all opposition? And the 'life eternal' bit is then the neverending loop of The Wheel of Time and rebirth in Age after Age.
- "One did live, and one did die, but both are." This one is obviously Slayer introduced in TSR. Who has one's spirit controling the other one's body. (can't remember which has which though...")
- "The Time of Change" is the end of and Age and will probably be caused by The Last Battle.
- "The seed of the Hammer burns the ancient tree" must have been when the Seanchan invaded Toman Head.
- "Death shall sow, and summer burn..." this must mean the wars in Cairhien, Amadicia, Altara, Arad Doman, Tarabon, and on Almoth Plain. The 'summers burn' part must be the 'unnatural weather.' - "Again the seed slays ancient wrong..." The 'again the seed' part must be the Return which is happening at the end of ACoS. And the 'slays ancient wrong' could have been the attack on the Fortress of the Light, but that part is open to almost anything.
- and finally "Now the Great Lord comes." Tarmon Gai'don, The Last Battle.

Please note that my thoughts on this prophecy are just my thoughts. They could be wrong, like some probably are.
And also note that some Dark Prophecies do not fully come to pass (As I believe I heard stated in TGH).
