Upon entering the captain's ready room, you report what happened in Engineering. She is not pleased, but she says, "It's a good thing you told me, Lieutenant. This could have led to a lot of trouble. I'll see that you get a commendation the next time we give them."

Afterwards, she makes a report to Starfleet Command. The Imperial deposits ambassador Scott on Earth and heads for the Neutral Zone.
