The Babylon 5 universe does not belong to me. Actually it belongs to Warner
Bros. J. Michael Straczynski, and PTEN, and a whole lot of other people way
up there making the big bucks off of it. I am just borrowing the universe,
and fully intend to put it back where I found it. This story though, for all
intents and purposes does belong to me. Feel free to distribute it, just
please leave both my name and this message with it. Ivanova 2

The door chimes summoned her, forcing her out of a pleasant dream,
and back into the terrors of reality. Standing up she grabbed her robe, it
was satin, and violet, same as her slightly revealing nightgown. She wrapped
it around her body loosely, letting it fall freely from her hips, and holding
it in place with her arm. "Open," she commanded a few seconds later.

The door opened at her call, pushing into the hollow wall, revealing
a smiling, yet somewhat troubled soul to her. "My God. I’m sorry, I didn’t
mean to wake you up," Marcus had never seen her like this before, she looked
vulnerable. he noted, almost offhandedly.

"Marcus, your here, you obviously have a reason to be, otherwise you
wouldn’t have come here at this time of night. Come on in," she was quite
tired, and didn’t try to hide the fact.

he told himself as they sat down on the couch in her quarters.
"Susan, I am leaving for Mars in less than an hour and a half. I know that
I may not survive this, and, and I don’t want to die with unfinished business."

"Okay, you’ve established what you’re doing here, that’s progress,
now what does this all have to do with me? As far as I know we have *no*
unfinished business."

"Well, this unfinished business is something I need to tell you.
Something you don’t know about," he hesitantly told her. They were sitting
only a few feet apart, and so he quickly got to the point. Leaning forward,
he moved closer to her on the couch, and drew her into his arms. Then he
kissed her. She struggled at first to free herself, not let herself get
caught in the familiar situation of allowing herself to love someone, only
to get hurt in he end. Her tiresome struggle was futile though, and in the
end his passionate touch melted her tired limbs. She had always known that
she was attracted to this man, and now he knew that he felt the same way
about her. He slowly pressed his way into her mouth, it wasn’t hard, she
opened up easily, and with an appreciative moan.
<
He then abruptly broke away after having explored her sweet mouth for
a few endless moments, enjoying seeing her in such a passionate frenzy.
"Susan," he began, "I have loved you since the moment I first laid eyes on
you. You are the most beautiful woman I know, and not just on the outside,
but in your mind, your soul, and your heart. I love your strength, your
ideals, you laughter, I love you, who you are, exactly who you are. I refuse
to leave having not told you that." He looked deep into her brilliant blue
eyes, they were glazed over with tears, and hope.

"Marcus, thank-you," she whispered as she arched her back, forcing
him to press against her, and drawing him into another fiery kiss.

Their mouths were fused tightly, and he could think of nothing but
her. he thought
as she moved her kisses down to his neck.

"Marcus," she muttered, "Please don’t kill yourself. Not now, not
after this. We need you here, *I* need you here too, I especially need you
here now."

He tilted her head up by placing a finger underneath her chin firmly,
and looked longingly into her watery eyes. "Don’t worry. I don’t want to
die, I would never do that to you. I promise you that I’ll always be here,
beside you. You have given me hope, I will survive."

He leaned forward, and kissed her once again, this time quite lightly.
Then he turned, and left, and then she cried.
