Star Wars: The Special Edition. Rating:*****. I give this movie five stars because I think the movie had a lot of things that made it look even better. One added scene in the movie was that part when a little droid was making fun of the larger droid busy doing some repairs. The bigger droid, fed up, hit the little droid, propelling him into the ground. The next was when they showed those wamprats. Wamprats are green monsters that are scary-looking. That was when you see Luke's car head into Mos Eisley. Another thing they added was when two Jawas were riding on a giant creature in Mos Eisley. One was thrown off becuase the creature jolted his head to one side. Then there was that part where a swoop rider zoomed right past that monster just as the Jawa fell off. The next change was when the Stormtroopers were checking the doors to find C3-PO and R2-D2. In the old movie, there was a line of doors that went on. But in the Special Edition, there was instead a corner, and the Stormtroopers had to turn a corner to continue their search. Then, when the Death Star blew up Alderaan (Princess Leia's home planet), instead of the planet just dispursing light balls, the planet had rings that went vertical, and it was an even larger blast. Yet another change occurred when Luke and Co. arrived on the Death Star. Han Solo was chasing some Stormtroopers, but then ran into all these other troopers(which was in the old version). In the new version, Han Solo ran into not just a few, but a whole army of soldiers. The final changes are in the last scenes. One was when the Falcon came to the Rebel's Base. The change was that the Falcon could be seen landing inside, yet the look of the base was old. Then, when the X-wings attacked the Death Star, you could see the fine detail of the spacecrafts' surfaces when they flew close enough to you. And, finally, George Lucas made a spectacular display of the Death Star exploding, enhancing the '70's effects with new computer animation. So that how I see Star Wars: The Special Edition, with all of its new and exciting scenes. You simply can't miss it for anything!
