Daniel Jackson *is* a little ray of sunshine - isn't he?   The eternal Optimist in this sad and sorry world.  Romantic at heart and compassionate to a fault. A loyal friend, too - as Jack would say (and did say in Fire and Water).

So... what are some of the cuter things YOU'VE seen him do?  

This page (I hope) is going to be filled by YOU and others like you who write to tell me what little ray of sunshine thing 'you've' seen the Space Monkey do!

So to get the ball rolling I guess I should go first. I happen to think that most Daniel Jackson moments are great (- hahaha go figure!) so narrowing it down is going to be hard.  I think one of the most powerful moments I sat through was in NEED after they returned home again.   Daniel escapes and he and Jack fight in the Storeroom.  When he pulled that gun on Jack I thought, "Oooh sh...  You dont wanna be doing that Daniel..." and I was literally gripping my seat! 

(Look at that face?? :(((   Man, can this guy act or what?!!  Not one of these pretty boys too afraid to "really get into the part"  incase it ruins his 'looks' - I have seen Michael go from the pits of desolation (here) to the height of elation (wild eyed in Cold Lazarus and Need also - boy! he must have been exhausted after this episode!!).  I was soooo blown away (no pun intended) by this piece of acting !!  Almost made me a MSOOFer   ;-D   - ALMOST! ) 

Luckily Jack is such a good friend and was able to reach out to him at this moment!  But I was like "Wow!" and when Daniel started to cry -   I got all teary too! ( yeah, I'm a sook  *shrugs* sometimes).  Poor, poor tormented Daniel!  

So... what other Daniel moments are there????? Wow! Ummm.....

* any moment that he gets *near* to finding Sha're or seeing her.   That look he gets in his eyes!  That "I don't give a damn what you think - I'm going after her" look. (Image from the Nox episode - discussing going after Apophis for Sha're and Skaara)

* That "Hello Jack, welcome back," scene (COTG) - which has Jack brush straight past him to go to Skaara.  And the look on Daniel's face - 'dont mind me if I'm in the way'  look - hahah quite funny.  Infact that WHOLE scene where they meet each other and Sam for the first time is a great scene!  - and in that episode - of course - is THAT kissing scene! Hahaha - Daniel's face just about implodes!

* The time Daniel is trying to discover "what fate Ohmorakka?" (F&W).  He wants to help sooo much and cries when he discovers the truth!  Arrgg!  What a guy! :-D

* The very casual way he's telling the woman to 'push' during child-birth (Brief Candle).  So detached, then he gets up and after announcing it, seems far more taken with the place they are in then in the life he'd just brought into that world.  Also, that look he gives Jack when he says to him,  "you never cease to amaze me with all your talents!"  Too cute!

* He is sooo sweet when he watches Catherine and Ernest rekindle their relationship (Torment of Tantalus) - I think he's even blushing :)

* The fight scene with Jack in TOT also.  He's passionate about staying and Jack's passionate about him leaving!  Real 'male bonding' stuff going on here!

* The scene with Sam in the lab where they are discussing the young Officer (MIAB) who 'has a bit of a crush' on her.  When they discover he's overheard them Daniel pulls the cutest face and says "Opps..  oh look?  The artifact....."  and instantly turns to concentrate on the artifact.

* And of course!  Who would go past the Space Monkey scene for CUTENESS!  I swear I've never seen Jack look happier to see Daniel.. or Daniel look happier to be seen by Jack! LOL

For the other Australian's here.. there was a chunk of this episode missing from the version we got -  unfortuanately as it was Daniel's 'death scene' basically!   Go Figure!  Many, many thanks to Goa'uld for going to so much effort to let me hear this scene.. Go to Dead Again.. Daniel??? page for this death scene! If anyone is able to send me the COMPLETE version of this episode, I would really apprecaite it.   I can accept PAL and NTSC versions.  Will pay - of course! ;

--Arrgg I could go on and on here.. so help me out.. what's YOUR favourite scenes???

Okay so others find it hard to narrow down one or two scenes too! This is good :)  Mean's I'm not totally obsessed on my own -  well......... I may still be obsessed.. but I'm not alone! Bawhahahah!!!

Kristy (she who is webmistress to that incredible website - A Tribute to SG-1 and Michael Shanks) has sent me these scenes... (okay it would be more to the truth that the poor woman RESENT and RESENT these to me... I seem to have lost ALL recent requests for this page.. so if you're waiting for yours to go up, it's a pretty good bet that you should resend them to me - sorry :-(   She also provided the piccys that go with her *sunshine* moments..   bless her :)

Her very favourite scene so far somes from "Holiday". When Ma'chello is having ice cream with Fred and it's dripping from his mouth :)  {Yeah, somehow this seems to rate QUITE highly on the DanielDrool meter :))   All I can say is 'Danny, if you love me.. you'll swallow that'!!  LOL.. }

The scene from TBFTGOG when Daniel describes Teal'c to O'Neill and flashes that adorable smile :)  {Oh ...my... GOD !! *peers a little closer to the pic*  is... is THAT him smiling???  LOL.. it's so rare to capture him with a *real* smile on his face.... great job Kristy!!!  Click on his image to make it bigger.. You cant miss this!! LOL }

In "One False Step" when Daniel looks up at Teal'c after he asks him to keep "an eye of his plant".  Teal'c responds with that fantastic line.. "I will keep both eyes on it Daniel Jackson." Hence Daniel's expression!  LOL.. Man, that Teal'c character is such a hoot!

Misery (go figure - she's a lovely person really!!) sent me these little gems:

* She also tags Sha'uri moments as being amongst Daniel's finest :)   Especially the Secrets episode. 

* The scenes where he's 'high' from using the Sarcophagus (Need).  

*And the reunion scene in TOT (Image taken as Catherine and Ernest hug - finally - while her 'boy's' look on proudly) 

Fellow DANIELite, G-Baby, had this to add:

Singularity:  The scene when Daniel is talking to Sam outside of Cassandra's room. He tells her that she doesn't need to go through this alone.   Sweet!

Enigma:  The scene when Daniel walks in and interrupts Sam and Narem kissing.  She states it's the "too cute Opps thing" that appeals to her :))

Emancipation: The scene when Sam is presented to the three men, in 'that" dress.  "The open mouth look" is what makes this scene for her :)

7 of 9 thinks that the scene in Need when Daniel and (woman) are out walking amongst the trees and she tells him that he is her destiny is a great scene.  Especially when Daniel kinda stumbles and produces the cutest little noise in his state of shock. 

Then, of course, there's that -"about that destiny thing?" - line he comes out with later.  7 likes that fact that Daniel feels uncomfortable and wonders about how he's going to be able to fix this problem... 

I have to agree 7, after rewatching that scene to be sure I remembered it, it IS great, especially Daniel's stammer !!! ;-D

Patti Jones thinks that the moment in "In the Line of Duty" when Daniel comforts Cassanadra with the line.. 

"She will cheer up when she sees you..."

She thought that was a really sweet moment.. and you know what? So do I :)
