The RTC vs 3rd Ed FAQ

I belive that the RTC vs 3rd Ed series has grown to such an extent that an FAQ, while not required, is fairly desirable. If you send me question to huttona@dcs.gla.ac.uk then I'll post an answer to them here. At the moment all this site contains is the guidelines and information of the Rogue Fiction Cult.

The Rogue Fiction Cult

Why the Rogue Fiction Cult?

Navigator is the kind of chap who gets things done, unlike me who says he'll do stuff. As a result Nav set up the Rogue Fiction Cult (R.F.C). He did this because the newsgroup had suffreed a flood of new episodes who's numbers were starting to clash with each other, confusion reigned, the entire story was about to dissolve into anarchy. The R.F.C has solved this problem.

What is the Rogue Fiction Cult

The R.F.C is a mailing list for discussing ideas about the story. For sorting out continuity problems. For making rude jokes. If you want to start writing episodes for the story then I would definetly recommend subscribing. You can do this task at http:\\RogueFictionCult.listbot.com.

GUIDELINES FOR WRITING AN EPISODE

These guidelines are mostly common sense and politeness. I hope that people don't find these restrictive in any way. With th R.F.C these guidelines are partly out of date as well. More info on Monday.

  1. Don't deliberatly mess up the continuity of other peoples episodes.
  2. Don't kill regular members of the group, it pisses them off. Killing the one shot flamers is fine, but not the regulars.
  3. Don't make yourself the all powerful mega being who saves the RTC again and again. It's not big and it's not clever.
  4. Spell-checking is always welcome. I know my Episodes have a few mistakes in thwm :)
  5. Could you mail Alien164 and me a copy as well as posting to the newsgroup as we keep archives of the stories and I do not have regular access to the Newsgroup
  6. And finally please could you try and give some indication as to when your episode occours in which book.
