Well After that first kill I was a mess.I tried to block it out of my mind and I got really depressed.My parents must have thought I had joined a cult or started doing drugs or something.
I didn't want to go anywhere alone and I lost a lot of friends.I never told anyone what happened ,I knew no one would believe me.It took me like a year to get over it.
By that time I was sort of a loner.People just didn't seem to want me around them.I think they thought I was wierd or something...maybe they had a point.I was really quiet and insecure.I just wanted to be like everyone else.I wanted a normal life and know that monsters don't exist and all those scarey stories were just ...stories,but I KNEW that the boogeyman did exist. and there ARE things hiding in the shadows.
So basically high school sucked.
When I was in grade 10 there was a big commotion.This girl ,well she was about 20, dissappeared.
Her name was Heather.
They practically wallpapered the town with posters of "have you seen her" . Pictures of her were in all the papers and on the news.Everyone was looking for her.
They had people looking along ditches and walking through the forests searching for a body if she had been killed.I joined in...well actualy my Mom volun-told me I had to help.Got to do your part ,help the community bla ,bla,bla.
So a group of us went up and down the back roads poking sticks in the grass ,looking for a body.We came to some big field areas with only a few houses around and I started searching the area nearest the house with Sarah , this other girl who was about 19.
It was getting late and we were gonna quit when Sarah noticed some clothing hanging in one of the bushes and we took a closer look .
It was a dirty shoe and pieces of what looked like a sweatshirt.Sarah started shaking saying "omigod omigod" .I told her to shut it and we don't know who this stuff belongs to so not to jump to any conclusions.
I decided to look for more clothing around the house.
Ok so smack me and call me stupid...It WAS a bad idea.
It was fairly dark by the house beacause of all the trees and being so late in the afternoon.It was very quiet I couldn't hear anything except my own breathing ,not evan a bird singing .It was eerie.
I saw another shoe by the back screen door.This shoe wasn't just dirty ...It looked kind of ,well, gooey.
I took a big stick and went up to it.I kind of poked at it and my heart started beating harder.It was covered in blood.
I heard a scream then and I looked up to see a huge german sheppard dog .It bared it's teeth and started a low rumbling growl.
Ok so now I think "DEAD MEAT" and "This is REALLY gonna hurt"
The dog jumps at me but I dropped to the ground and rolled.It turned around and was about to try again when Sarah decided to grow a pair.
I think she just about wet herself.
I got up grabbing an empty metal garbage can that was laying in the messy yard and smashed it on the dog's head...yeah that did a lot of good.
At least i could use the can as a shield from the dog and it focused it's attention back on me.
It made a few more lunges at me and I yelled at Sarah to get help.She ran like a bat outta hell.(big surprise) and I was alone with the beast.
Suddenly it stopped attacking and sat at attention only making a low growl.I felt ...something and I turned my head slightly to see a dirty ragged man behind the rusted metal screen door.
This guy looked like he was covered in shit and vomit.He was wearing a ripped white tee that was no longer white and disgusting boxers with black socks.His face had all these open sores all over and some were still oozing.He spit a gob of god knows what and said "Well King what dooooooooo we have here...heh?"
"Delivery...and what sweet meat it is too...fresh and juicy..."He licked his lips with a black tongue.The dog seemed to bark in agreement.
In an instant he was on me yanking my hair back and he pushed his face into mine thrusting his rotten tongue past my lips.He grabbed at my beasts and ripped at my shirt with his taloned fingers.I couldn't move,I couldn't do ANYTHING and he was about to have his way with me.
Then there was a loud thud and he pulled back from me dissoriented .I saw Sarah,she had come back to help me .(stupid move on her part but I am not going to complain.)
The man gragged the branch she had used away from her and hit her accross the face with it
I ran for some cover behind a woodpile beside the houseI looked for a weapon and I saw and axe.
The dog jumped on Sarah and started mauling her...I was sure she was dead already.The man went back to get me so I grabbed the axe and decided I was gonna make this hard for him.I ran up to him and swung.
He tried to grab me with the other arm but i had moved to behind him and I swung the axe again.This time I took off his head.The laughing stopped.
The dog looked up from the bloody mess of Sarah and then came at me.I cut him down with the axe as well.
JI ran to Sarah and found he still breathing.I took off my shirt and tryed to somewhat bandage her wounds.I screamed for help until my voice broke...finally help arrived.Sarah and I were taken to the hospital.
Later on I found out that no one could find the body of the man.They thought I may have been hallucinating from the trauma but they did find the dog.
When they looked in the house the found parts of several young girls strewn about the place.Heather's head was left on the mantle abouve the fireplace like a trophy.
I am glad I didn't go in there.
