(To Ian Lemke): Ian, Changeling was a work of pure genius. It brought the World of Darkness alive for me, made it more whole. I run a big WoD crossover game (so sue me), and about a third of my players consistently choose the Kithain to play. My game
ouldn't be the same without it. From one Ian to another, I'm sorry to see you go. I'm looking forward to any freelance stuff you come up with. Good luck, and thank you.

I can't express in words how thrilled I was to find this site. I've been a little reluctant as far as White Wolf goes lately since I found out about the Axe Meeting.
My Changeling Book is signed by Ian, inscribed with the words "Keep Dreaming!" My Book of Houses is also inscribed with the words "Never Grow Up!". Two caveats of life that I think a lot of people need to remember occaisionally.
A huge part of why I enjoy this game as much as I do. That for once, I don't have to fight and bicker and backstab my way to comfort, that I can make and keep friends, that trust is sacred, that wonder is sacrosanct, and that life is beauty, and vice
versa.
It's been fantastic not having to wear black lace and look Goth at Live Action events (Although I'll tell you in a second that my Eiluned wears black suits and silver jewelry). It's been even more fun when asked to play as an NPC in Werewolf or WoD g
mes driving the angst-mongers insane with driving speeches about passion, manifestation of dreams, and making your wishes real.
Are Changelings the Light in the World of Darkness? Hell yes. So because of that light, do they belong there? They are needed there more than anything else that already is there. In a setting pointed toward the downward spiral of society...what's the
oint of it all if you don't have hope? Whether it be the Seelie Hope of Revival, or the Unseelie hope of Re-Birth, the Light is Necessary.
Vampires battle with themselves, Werewolves against the physical forces eating away at the world, Mages battle the forces seeking control over the world, Wraiths fight an internal struggle as beautiful and tragic as any Epic. But the Changelings fig
t against the Aching Chill setting in the hearts of humanity at all the forces of control and destruction prevelant in the WoD.
They represent the strength and integrity of the Human Spirit. A Spirit that can not be controlled, a soul that can not be defeaten. Being Dreams made manifest entails so much...not just daydreams or those you have while asleep. They are every hope, e
ery stray wish, prayers, goals, ideals, all those things put into form. They are all things, funny, witty, wise and silly. They are emotions, anger, fear, sadness, joy, bliss, love. They are the ebb and flow of life, the turning of the wheel, and in those
things you just try and tell me where that doesn't fit in the Word of Darkness.
Just a quick note to Ian: All those things, don't forget to find them within yourself. Although I think that's a note that should go out to everybody.
And a quick note to everyone else, if you ever get the chance, go see a Shattered Isles event. I've heard sterling compliment after sterling complement on the game as a whole, from the system, to the setting, to the story, to the players to the admini
tration.
And on that note, I'll shut out the Novel I've apparently begun.
Thanks
And Keep on Dreaming!

I've followed the WoD games for some time, because they were the freshest, most "real" games around. Changeling by far has been the most ingenius because it involves waging war with probably the hardest thing there is to fight, disbelief. Where your lack
f faith can be your undoing. That's a phenomena;l concept. It has also had the greatest art of all the books. Please, let's all keep the Dream alive.

I'm just now getting to run my own game, having recently moved to a small town; and trying to find a Masqurade game looked mew and hopeless.
So I started my own; and with a few Changelings, some Vampires and even a Garou of two things are begging to look hopeful. But to here that White Wolf is slowing, or discontiueing Changeling is something that will hurt all of us down here. I mean to say
that how many games allow you to dress in our renisance outfits and run around a park in the middle of the summer slaying dragons? (Especially when your in collage?) Changeling. And so what I wish to say is, Thank You.

Needless to say, I was severely disturbed to hear
that White Wolf had laid off Ian Lemke. Has White
Wolf now become a subsidiary of Pentex? This
harsh event has once more raised the question of
what our society does with things percieved to be
"useless." What does our society do with useless
(or financially burdening) things? We get rid of
them. I recognize that in running a business one
does not want to lose money and that the goal is
to maximize profits; however, I can't help but
feel a cold dread at what the overall perception
of Changeling will become in the future. I'm glad
that White Wolf has created "Arthuas" so that I
can continue to get books on my favorite ST-RPG,
but I wonder if Changeling's virtuous status as
the illustrious fifth sphere of the WoD will
continue. It's like we've been deposed or
dispossessed or something, a duke in exile from
the realm he loved. I can only imagine how Ian
must feel. Myself, I feel like a widow at a
funeral. I'd like to go home and repeatedly bang
my head against the basement door and scream. Is
WoD now only four spheres, or will Changeling
continue to be recognized as the fifth elite
member? Something tells me that there is more to
the story than what we've been told and that the
horror isn't over yet. My condolences to Ian, may
he find peace in his new position. God only knows
how this will end. It seems to be the beginning
of the end for all of us. Welcome Gehenna, the

To Ian,
It is with great sadness and regret that I received the news of your departure from White-Wolf. I have to tell you that Changeling is the only role-playing game I have ever played that has so totally consumed my creative drive. This game touched me in a
very personal place (stop snickering). It cries out to any of us who have had to put aside our dreams and ambitions, or kill them outright, in order to survive in what people call "the real world". I don't understand how people cannot see the tragedy an
horror in the death of dreams.
This is the only game that has ever inspired me to pick up factual books and do research. I had an idea for a campaign in the Caribbean and wanted it to be well researched, as all of the supplements from White-Wolf have been. I came up with four faction
in an ongoing war for limited space. An alliance with some real nasty redcaps and a group of Settites. And A wild and beautiful Eshu Pirate Queen who has discovered a strangely deserted Never-Never Land(a stable bulkhead within the dreaming that had be
n created through Dream-Craft) and has used this secret power base to gain nearly absolute control over the open seas. She has gathered together five generals who are loyal to her to help her in her war for freedom from the oppressive British Sidhe ruler
of the mainland. The five have been named the "Queen's Gauntlet"
Please keep us informed as to the future of this game that has captured our hearts so and managed to cry out to our foundering soul.

An Open Letter, for your consideration.
Regarding the whole Ian Lemke / White Wolf / Changeling thing... well. I'd like to say a few things, not least that Changeling is one of the best games I've ever encountered, and Ian has done a good job with it. However. As you may know, I provided some m
terial for Court of All Kings, and was told that my material was well received. The Belfast Child stories have been very popular, and I hope that I've provided some entertainment to a few people. Since 1996 when I was involved with COAC, I've emailed Ian
everal times tentatively asking him if I might be considered for other projects. I have NEVER received an email in return, or even in acknowledgement of my questions. I'm just hoping now that, with the freedom that this new publishing schedule might bring
that I might finally get some civil treatment from White Wolf and Changeling developers. Now, I realise that I've been posting my stories with no hassle from WW at all, and that's been a good thing. But was the price for that freedom being ignored by WW
ltogether ? I'd like to write for Changeling, and I think I speak for other freelance writers whose only forum has been electronic publishing. We, the fans, have supported Changeling for years, and sometimes WW's treatment of the fans has lost us some of
ur best (Jim Gaynor comes to mind). While you're doing this shakeup of the line, sort out your attitudes to the fans and freelance writers.

I LOVE THIS PAGE!!!!
This is my favorite of the white-wolf series. I own every single book published to date and am so glad I ran across this particular page.
I was wondering how someone might submit material to be printed. I designed and ran a pirate campaign set in the Caribbean and have some rather interesting source materiel.
Thanks
Kevan

Cool site, really.
I think it would make it greater if there were a download page, where I could d/l these vast amounts of text together, so that i can read at home...
But it's cool anyway.

And now a quote...

but without ever knowing the reason for its flowing,
In motion on the ocean,
the moon still keeps on moving,
the waves still keep on waving,
and I still keep on going...."

I was rather surprised to find that there are other Changelings out there, and that they are so numerous! Since I know only a fair amount of Vampires, Mages and Werewolf, I thought this beautiful and thrilling game had gone unnoticed. But nay! My complime

Fantasy fascinates me. Dragons, mages, and wizards. I have been designated by many people as "creative"; mostly with written literature. I feel that "creative" people have that special spark wihtin them that allows them to create other worlds and being
. Perhaps you could add information on dragons to this site. Or send me the data. Take what I have said into mind. For fantasy is the mind's escape.
