Excalibur- Arthur’s legendary sword
*IQ: 4th dimensional intelligence (see Glorina); effectively 30
*basic attributes of all rune weapons.
*appears as a silver sword with a gold hilt. the hilt is encrusted in jewels.
*does 1D6x10 MDC or SDC (whichever is applicable) and double to supernatural evils, including those possessed by Zazshan/Myrrlin (triple to those vulnerable to silver)
*Powers: special
Excalibur is able to use any of Glorina’s abilities at will (at 1/2 her ability). This is frequently not called upon by Arthur, but in fact by Glorina herself in order to protect him. The most frequent powers used are (listed at sword’s ability level):
+Heal 5D6 SDC/HP/MDC (four times per day)
+Energy Bolt- 3D6 MD, 2500 ft. (as per hand to hand)
+Armor of Ithan- 75 MDC
+Fire Ball- 8D4, 300ft
+Impervious to Energy
+Carpet of Adhesion
+Magic Net
+The sword also cancels all effects of Excalibur’s sheath if being used against it.
all of these, plus ANY spell, temporal spell, Air, or Fire elemental spells can be cast at 8th level ability. Also, any psionic powers can be used.
Note: unless otherwise stated, these powers can each be performed once per melee and count as only one attack. The above listed are the only powers readily available to Arthur. If at any time he abuses these powers, Glorina will revoke the powers of the sword. Also, if Arthur is being exceptionally noble, miracles will tend to protect him, like a TK forcefield to block an otherwise fatal strike, or Superhuman Strength granted to Arthur to help him defeat an exceptionally strong enemy. And even, in one case (Arthur’s defeating Mordred while he held the sheath), the sword was strengthened by Glorina’s Psi-Sword, making in do an additional 1D6x10! This is only likely to happen in a life or death struggle with Mrrlyn or another supernatural evil. All of these powers are granted by Glorina at her discretion, but it is important to note that unless Arthur becomes corrupt, Glorina WILL NOT allow her chosen hero of man to die.
