The RPG currently has three missions running concurrently. One runs on Vol'Indi - the homeworld of the Volkunes, one on Earth and one on Pax XII, a peace planet in neutral space. Most new members are sent to Pax XII.

It is created by the CO (Commanding Officer), and will include a basic mission brief and details of any enemies or anomalies that must be overcome during the course of a mission. During a mission, every player involved posts e-mails (you will be given a mailing list with the introduction) of around 300 words in length to advance the storyline. This could be a narrative, a dialogue or a diary entry. Most posts are in the third person, where you refer to your own character as he or she. If you know you will be unable to post during a mission, it is polite to inform your CO and team in advance of the time. A good post will relate to previous posts or actions, involve character feeling and emotion, make use of dialogue, continue toward the mission objective laid out in the brief, and allow a continuation for other players to post following the mission. The posts that you make should be sent to the mailing list provided for you. These posts should follow on from one another, if possible relating to other people's previous posts. And the most important thing is to have fun! At the end of a mission, you will be sent a debrief before beginning your next mission.
