The Volkunes have a major population centered around the first planet of their sun, their homeworld which they call Vol'Indi. They have a small/medium colony on their second planet, Xil'Indi, and a new colony of just a few thousand in their nearest star system, on Indi'Xi. The Volkunes discovered the secret of light-speed travel approximately twelve years ago, and currently have three active light-speed capable (LSC) vessels, with a few dozen in production. Recent colonisation of what is now considered Volkune space has been diverted to other regions of undisputed space around our borders. The Volkunes are keen diplomats, and their head of government and fleet captain, Rron PrimaVol, has attended many talks with his crew aboard the LSC Vol. It is understood that PrimaVol is the permanent captain of this flagship.
