Disclaimer: I don't own anyone. I wish that I did then I could make some money. But seriously the storyline is mine. Vicky, Steve, Angelica, Angelique (the babies), Marie the maid, John and Pete and Oscar, belong to me. And the song is mine. I wrote it and it's called Haunted. On one last note, I would like to say that it may be just a smidge far fetched. The 100 or 200 billion dollars thing is my fantasy and I'm allowed one right It's my fic after all. Okay, now here is my lovely story that I love so much.
Part One
Buffy swung the doors open and saw Giles, Willow, Xander, Cordeila, and Oz standing up in a line. Giles had two swords handing one to Willow. Probably preparing them for their new lives as immortals.
Giles glanced at the door and saw Buffy and Angel and a girl. He glanced up to look at the girl and put his sword down. "Hello. Who is that?"
Buffy glanced at the girl. "It's a long story I'm sure. But it's Angel's sister."
Everyone look at Angel and then at her and stared in shock. There was definitely a resemblance but somthing didn't seem right. The girl was beautiful. With light brown and blond hair that came a little above her thigh. She looked about 19 or 20 . She had on burgandy pants with a black tank top. Topping it off she wore three inch black loafers. Her eyes were a beautiful shade of violet. A wonderful skin complexion and tone. But her tone was what shocked everyone.
"I think it would be a good idea if we set down and let her talk," Giles said pulling out a chair. Everyone took a seat and just looked at her.
Buffy broke the weird silence. "So you say you're Angel's sister. I'm not being rude or anything but you look like you're a lit-" Buffy was cut off by Victoria.
"I know. I'm part African-American, part Spanish, and for the most part, Irish. Let me tell you this from the beginning. My mother and father were extremely wealthy and had high status. Angel and I were the only children. My mother was kind and gentle woman. She let the gypsies use their land and water and food. They loved her so. One day while my mom was still pregnant with my brother, a vampire got to her. The gypsies were enraged and decided that her pureness and kindness, was so huge that they wanted to bring her back to life and revive her unborn child as well."
Victoria paused and continued. "She had Angel. About four years later, mother was coming home from a day at the ladies society. Stepping out of her carriage, a man who was a mulatto came and drug her to our barn and raped her. That was the night I was concieved. When my father and mother and everyone found out that I was coming, they made a promise that they would raise me as well as they raised Angel. My father took me as his own. I've always been really light skinned, but with the tinest hint of color that gives away my Spanish and African roots. The Irish understood what African people were going through. England was just as cold and brutal to them. They were called the "niggers of the white race". I had a happy childhood and my father was very over protective of me and loved me as I was his own. But even before I was a Slayer, I was already making waves. It was announced that I was the smartest person in the world by the time I was eight. Not to many woman read and I did! . A lot of people didn't think that I should have been called that not only because I was a girl but because I was mixed. And the school that I was supposed to go to in England would not except me. So I learned all I could at home. My mother and father taught me along with my tutor. By the time I was 10, I would be now out of what would be considered college level.
"When I was 11 I was called one day by my watcher and told that I was the Slayer. He told me that I was to stop the vampires and all the evil that surrounded this world and so on. He said I was excellently skilled already. My tutor was a Chinese man who was a master of Tae Kwan Do and Tang Soo Do. I was tomboy and loved to watch him practice, by the time I was 8 I had both forms down in my head. He also taught me how to kick box. This was my destiny to rain and be prepared. I was ready to accept my duty right away. I loved slaying and learning about how we came about and stuff like that. "
Giles sighed and smiled dreamily. "A watchers dream," he said. Buffy rolled her eyes.
Willow interrupted. "Why so young though? I mean most slayer don't get their aclling until they are about 14 and then they prepare until they are about 15 or 16."
"Slayers weren't doing well at that time. The Council figured that it was because they were preparing to late. From what I was told, they decided that the next person that was destined, would have to start early. I wasn't supposed to start slaying until I was 14 but they said that I was already ready so I started even earlier."
"Another suprise came to me one day while I was 12. The gypsies told me that I was immortal. They said that they wanted to repay my mother for all that she had done and me for the help I did for keeping away the vampires. The day I would die would be the day I'd become immortal. News like this is something that doesn't get to you everyday, so I was kind of happy and shocked all at once. Then the Watcher's Council dubbed me the best Slayer in history 'now and forever' as they put it. That is until you came along. Now I've got to share the spot light. But I don't mind. Anyway, they said my willingness, flawless technique, my all around intelligence, and the fact that I was the longest living and youngest Slayer, earned me the title hands down. So I went down in the books.
"On my 13th birthday my Angel came home and tucked me in bed for the last time that night. And gave me what you have on your finger now," she pointed towards Buffy's hand. "The claddagh ring. He left and went to the Irish pub and came out drunk with one of his friends. I had rose early that morning while it was still dark. I had a strange feeling that something was going to happen. And it did. Darla attacked him and he became a vampire. I woke up in the middle of the night and went down stairs only, to find that my mother and father were lying in each other's arms dead. Angel had been hiding and came out and told me that....." Dublin Ireland Late 1700's Edmington Estate "Angel! You!! What happened to your face?" Victoria asked. She knew very well what the deal was but she couldn't let it slip that she was the Slayer.
"You know what happened to my face. As a matter of fact, little sister has been keeping secrets from me. That's not how a family works is it Slayer?"
"You'll kill me? Even though we're flesh and
blood.""Hurt's doesn't it? Oh well that's life. Don't worry when I'm done you'll thank me"
"And that was one of last times I saw of him. When I woke up the elder woman, Ranalda, took me in and cared for me. My best friend Steven who was another of Ireland's society children, was my best friend. We were born on the same day. His parents and mine were best friends. I came home one evening only to find that Ranalda was sick and dying. She took me by her side...." Dublin Ireland Late 1700's Gypsie Camp On Edmington Grounds
"Oh Ranalda, you can't die, not yet. You have to take care of me."
"Child, I've lived a long and tired, but happy life. It's time for me to join the rest of the spirits. That's life."
"Then I will stay and help your people."
"No! Victoria listen to me. The time has come for ye to venture out on your own. Ye need to spread thou wings with Steven."
"But Steven is mortal and he'll grow old and die! He cou-"
"No child, ye two are in love. Ye don't realize it, but ye are. He's very handsome and skilled in weapons. He knowest of ye's truest self and helps ye on the occasion doesth he
not?""Aye, but he isn-"
Ranalda pushed her hand under the pillow and took out a piece of paper. "Victoria, ye are a special and beautiful child with special meaning. Ye are meant to be happy no matter what happens to ye. Take this." The old woman gave her the paper.
"Papa's will."
"He asked me to hold it incase anything happened to him. Half of it was supposed to go to ye and the other half to thou dearest Angelus. But, well..And as for Steven, his parents were attacked last night. He ran to me. His father had also gave me his will. For he wanted to make sure that it was in safe hands. It has been given to him already. Me told him that ye would meet him there behind the gates at mid of night."
"But still."
"He's immortal child. He always has been. Since the day you became immortal. He knew but I told him not to speak of it to you. He was killed with his parents and he rose again."
"I love you Ranalda. And I don't know how I could possibly thank you for everything. I'll always be near by."
"Just go wherever your heart takes ye. And remember me and thou parents will always be with you. Now go child. Fufill your destiny. I suspect you two will make many children."
"I thought I couldn't!"
"Yes. Mi conjured up a heckling. When you get married, and when ye feel the time is right, ye will be able to have children. That is my final gift to ye. I must sleep now."
"And that was the last time she spoke. She died early that morning. Steven and I had a long talk and we decided the best thing to do would be to leave town. The last time I saw Angel was the day before he got his soul about a hundred and twenty tears later or so. I had kept his part of the money. I didn't spend it. I guess I hoped that he would return normal one day. I found out where he was at. I put the note on his bed and as I got ready to leave he came in..." London, England May 14th, 1860
"I thought I killed you."
"Well, vampires just don't kill like they used to. There used to be a time when you would die. But then immortality came along and just expendited the whole thing."
"You're immortal?"
"That's what I've been told. Look, I didn't come here to fight you. I came here to give you this." Victoria pulled out the piece of paper and dropped it on his bed. "I'll be seeing you." And she jumped out the window falling straight on the horse with Steven at her side. They galloped away into the night, leaving Angel to just stare at the window.
"You've come a long way. I've heard and seen quite a bit about you. Killing your own kind. Falling in love with a Slayer. Losing your soul although I don't know how. There's been some talk but so much talk, that I don't know who to believe. Killing my good friend Janna."
Giles glanced at her with the mention of Jenny's name. "Yeah, we were good buddies. I knew about this situation three years before it happened. They never did mention how Angel would lose his soul though." She then turned her attention toward the Slayer. "You've done well with him. You gave my brother a reason to live again. When I see you, I see what I was like when I was with Steven."
Angel blinked back tears that held so many emotions. His sister still loved him after all he had did to them. He closed his eyes trying to white out the night he killed her and his family. He had been trying to do that for years. But because that was his first kill, he would never for get it. With or without the curse.
Giles, however was less than thrilled. With anger and bitterness in his eyes he shot up from his chair. "You knew about Jenny and about what was going to happen?" It took Buffy and Xander to hold him into his seat. "And yet you did nothing to try to stop it? Alot of people were hurt and you watched behind the curtain and didn't say a thing. You are si-"
Victoria ran towards Giles and punched him in the face. "Oh! We're so hurt aren't we? I lost my entire family and my brother. I've lost countless of friends to vampires. I could go on! Do you know what it's like to be 13 forever? To watch all your friends die of old age and you still live? To leave your home and your whole life because of fear of what might happen if you stay? To not have seen your brother in 100 years? I was all alone in a big world. My whole life was was chopped into pieces as a warning from my own brother! I knew Jenny and she was like a sister. I wanted to say something, but I was warned that if I interfered with prophecy, then I die, my whole family dies. I did it before and I couldn't make it back in time to save an entire village. I wanted to shout out loud that I knew about the curse, but I couldn't say anything. Damn it! Stop thinking about your little losses. It's always about you, you,
you!"Victoria broke down and Willow rushed to help her. She was right. They had thought about themselves and not anyone else. It must have been terrible for her to help other people and push her pain aside. "It's okay. We should have been more understanding."
Victoria wiped away her tears and nodded. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to get worked up about it."
Giles finally calmed down and clamped his mouth shut as he saw that what Vicky said was entirely true. "I'm sorry as well." She nodded and smiled a little.
"Look, I just came to here to let you know that I'm fine Angel. I'm going back to Philadelphia, which is the best city in the world."
Angel gave her a worried and hurt look. He thought that now that they had been re-united, that she would stay Sunnydale. But he knew why she wanted to leave. She still couldn't face him he thought to hisself. He just looked at her. "Why can't you stay here? I'm sure whatever is in Philadelphia, you can find here."
Victoria curled then end of her mouth and regained a sparkle in her eyes. "They don't have 1/4 of the anything that Philly has and you know it. Trust me. Besides I have to get back home to Angelica and Angelique." Buffy gave her a questioning look. "They're my children. I named them after him," she said as she pointed towards Angel. Tears began to flow once more. It was an honor for him to have his nieces named after him, especially after all he did to his sister. "I have a picture of them. Identical. I'm married to Steve."
Angel looked a little miffed, this time around. For that one moment he remembered how close and protective he was to his sister. His little sister was too young to be getting married and having children. It took him a minute to realize that she wasn't exactly a little girl anymore, despite her physical appearance. And who could he judge and be angry. She was an adult. But she would always be his kid sister. She was always too beautiful and too smart and too everything. Just like there mother. His was guilt was coming back. If he hadn't have been so stupid, they would have all seen there daughter get married. She amusingly handed him the pictures.
Keeping it light was good, she could see his expression changeing to guilt and she knew exactly what he was thinking and she wouldn't allow him too. "Not as young as you thought."
He studied the pictures. They were beautiful. They had there mother's smile and violet/light blue eyes. He remembered Steven well and there face was shaped exactly like his with the most beautiful skin he'd every seen. "I'm an uncle? They're so beautiful. How old are they?"
"Two. They were born on my birthday, May 5th. I think they're gonna be like me. They started walking at 6 months, and I'm teaching them French and Spanish. It's possible that they might be immortal. I'm not sure yet. They can even read
now."Giles rubbed his eyes like he usually did when he was perplexed and amazed. "Y-Yes, they might be. And possible Slayers if you were. It has been known to happen before."
Willow shyly looked at Victoria. "Wow. You have a baby?"
"Two actually. Oh and there's another thing that I wanted to talk to you about. I heard that Spike and Dru skipped town after the whole incident. And I just want you to know that after they found out that Angel got his soul back, they decided to come back and take care of some "un-finished business", as my good old Willie, the pal told me. And from what he tells me they're coming back with a demon."
Once again Buffy, looked at her with eyes wide open. "You mean Willie as in short, pudgy, Italian accent, and plain old nasty?"
Looking up at the sky light, she nodded. "Oh, yeah. I brought Willie to Sunnydale. He was a big help to me in Philly when I wasn't beating him up or when he wasn't trying to look up my skirt. The guy is a slob and when I first met him he asked me if I wanted to go to a friend of his that did "strictly high-class nude work". He bugs me."
Buffy smiled. "That's him."
A sudden ring went off. Buffy looked around preparing to fight. Victoria looked down at her pants and pulled out a cell phone from the pocket.
"Whoever it is can I call you back?" she said in an annoyed town. "Marie? Is that you?" she excalimed looking worried.
"Are the kids okay and Steve?" Calming down a bit after a satisfied reassuranc,e she flipped the phone over to the other ear.
"No, No. I told Oscar to make the new one yesterday. I can't be there today." Angrily she tapped her foot against the floor while listening.
"Well I don't want the fountain in the front gate. I want it placed exactly in the middle of the pool like I said............It's an 18th century house, it's supposed to look elegant and 18th century, Not modern and cheesy."
Glancing at her watch she rolled her eyes. The rest of the gang just looked on. Maybe it was because the evening had been a shock or maybe because Victoria looked so young and innocent to be in control of anything. Or, to be married with kids of her own. "That's just too bad. I want them in the back yard. You tell Oscar that I have too many connections and if he starts with me, I ruin his life. I have guests coming over on Monday and I want the place to look good. I do the housework myself and I take care of eve-as a matter of fact put Steven on the phone."
Victoria put her hand over the receiver and looked towards the Slayer and her Slayerettes. "I go through this everyday. Whether I'm there or not." She gave a little sight.
"Hello Steve." Another pasue. Her attitude seemed to be calm and a look of home sickness replaced her fiesty look. "Honey, I am..... I'm trying not to. But after I took out Promitheus last week I had to go to Spain and then Ireland." She shook her head and smiled. "I know. I want to too. I've just met him and you know I don't really want to go, but I need to to be home with Angie and Jelly. I haven't been there in three weeks and they need their mother, not the nanny............Oh, is Pete there?" A burst of laughter came out of her throat. "Tell him not to use my good dishes. I brought K-mart ones just for him."
Her violet eyes turning to a pale blue slightly. "You are? This is so great. I can't wait to see the kids." Once again she glanced at her watch. "No problem.......I will. I love you," she almost swooned and Willow gave a goofy grin to Buffy. Victoria hung up the phone and began to dial a number. She sat it on the table and pressed a button. Soon everyone heard the phone ring. "I need a piece of paper and pen." Giles nodded and brought out a sheet of paper and a pen.
"Hello?" a voice came through the phone loud and
clear."John, this is Vicky. Put Oscar on the phone."
"What did his do this time?"
"Put it this way, if I needed to be concern about my blood pressure, then I'd be too dead to worry."
"I'm getting him." He put the phone down. She picked up the pen and began holding it. A thick Italian voice came over the phone.
"What?" the voice said groggily.
"Did I wake you? I wish I could say I was sorry. Oscar I don't have a lot of time to talk. And you are so lucky that you are in Philly and I'm on the other side of the US."
"If this is abou-" but she cut him off.
"I'm hot, tired, sweaty, and haven't had a cheesesteak worth spitting on and on top of that I haven't seen my kids or husband in three weeks and you are supposed to be my dress designer and I don't know what you're problem is but I think you need to solve it because I'm going to need my gown by Monday evening or you're fired and don't think I won't call Donatella since she and I go way back okay?" She said in one breath. "Because that's why I pay you the big bucks and if I'm not satisfied then you don't have a job for me or for anyone else in the this entire universe. I'm so glad that we've been able to reach an understading."
"Yes well I've been busy."
"With other clients, be busy. Whatever. But when you work for me, then I expexct you to do your job. Which means from the time I call and tell you what I want, until the time I need my dress, I own you. Getting high off of God knows what, and drinking booze and having gay and lesbian sex circuses are not busy on my time. I don't care if you do it or not. It's Philadelphia. Enough said. I don't care about your lovers or your addictions or your lifestyle. I just care about the 500,000 thousand dollars that you're getting from me La Renta, you hear? I'm not an evil person you know? But, I need you to respect me and I won't yell.. Now dust of your dusty ass and get to work. And my hoop slip better be under there or I'm killing your entire family including you and deliver you to the sharks for meal time. Have a nice day." With that she hung up the phone and began to write down something.
"Okay. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say you're stressed and that you're desgner is gay." Cordelia rolled her eyes and slapped Xander upside the head.
"La Renta? As in the Oscar de la Renta? You know him? He's gay? Cause I thought he was married."
Vicky folded the piece of paper and laughed. "Yeah that's a cover up. Everyone knows he's gay, but in Philly they don't take it well you know? He's done all of my evening attire for the past three years. I should let him go but I love his gowns and he captures the 18th century dress like no other. And I love those kinds. Anyway, I'm glad we talked but I have to go somewhere tomorrow and rent a villa for the summer. Steve and the kids are gonna be up here. He has some business to do and he misses me."
"Where have you been staying?" Angel asked in a fatherly manner. She smiled mischievously at her brother.
"I couldn't blow my cover so I've been doing the sleeping in the car thing."
Cordelia looked at her carefully. "I've been meaning to tell you that you don't look thirteen."
"Yeah, well I never looked my age even when I was thirteen which was for about four hours. I've always been able to pass for early twenties which is how I passed my drivers exam."
"In the car!?" Angel shouted. Buffy placed a hand over his shoulder. "Why do all the woman in my life sleep in dangerous places. First it was Buffy in front of my apartment. Now you in a car!"
His girlfriend kicked him in the leg. "He's just kidding. I didn't do that," she said glaring icily at her lover, but he ignored her.
"You're staying with us until whenever."
Victoria got up and pushed her chair in. "No I'm not." Buffy stepped in.
"Please just do it. If we go home and you go the fiesty route then he's gonna whine and complain and then I'll kill him. Since you've just re-united with him, and I've just got him back, I don't want to do that. So just stay for the night."
Angel's sister giggled. "I see. Just for the night though." The three headed out as Giles told the Slayerettes to get back in line.
"Oh Buffy." Everyone turned back to look at the Watcher. "Do find out, if you can, about the new demon Spike is coming to town with." Buffy nodded and headed for the door once more.
I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want. I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna hear some feedback. That was a desperate cry for some serious help. So if you really want to spare yourself the agony of my incredibly cheesy and pitiful attempts as parodying pop culture you'll give me feed back. Go to the next chapter!
