I wanted it to sound Latin. But I have no idea if those words are really Latin. I don't have any money! I'se just a poor mixed breed uneducated little girl who's be just is tryin' to finds a wasy outsa mise depressin' lifes. Disregard that sentence. I'm not trying to start anything.

Author's Notes: It's not that I don't think I can't write, its just that I'm afraid that other people will think I suck. This story line has been popping up in my head month so I started putting it down on paper and here it is. Beth, you rock, thanks for the inspiration on this. Valerie, once again, you've been there for me. Couldn't do this without you.

Angel and Buffy's Apartment
Sunday Night, 7:00 p.m.

Buffy walked over to the kitchen. She didn't have anything to eat all day so her stomach was growling profusely. She opened the refrigerator and looked at the contents that were before her. Let's see. Angel's blood, Yogurt, Last week's spaghetti, and Pringles. Not much of a choice. Buffy picked the spaghetti up and smelled it. Then she looked at it and saw the green spots around the edges. "Ew! Guess it's Pringles tonight." She took the chips out of the fridge and sat down on the couch. Just as she reached for the magazine someone covered her eyes. Buffy smiled widely. "Let me guess. Nice hands. They feel cold. Must be a vampire. I'd say you're about 240 something." Angel let go of her and smiled. She sat back and looked up at him as he bent over to give her a kiss.

Buffy had just moved in with Angel three months ago. After all they had been through, this was the ultimate test, to see if they could live with each other without violence. That and the fact that her mother kicked her out of the house because Buffy needed to handle her business as the Slayer and her mom couldn't accept it. But with all of that they seemed to be getting along just great. They had they're quarrels but most of the time it was over stupid things and making up afterwards was the reward. Angel thought it was to be a disaster from the start, but now he couldn't help but think how more in love with Buffy he was than ever before. And Buffy felt the same way. This was definitely good for them.

"You guessed right." Angel walked over to his closet and pulled out a white T-shirt. He had just gotten out of the shower and Buffy loved to see him wet. "I see you're doing the junk food group tonight. Buffy, we just went shopping two weeks ago. I don't even eat food like that although I did eat the Doritos and the popcorn."

Buffy smirked. "Unlike you, I'm still growing. I need to eat. Eating is what we do." Angel finally got his shoes and joined Buffy at the couch. She put down the magazine and took one of Angel's shoes from him an unlaced it.

"I didn't save and inherit millions of dollars to feed you," Angel said teasingly. Buffy glared at him and kissed his cheek.

"Tomorrow is the last day of school. Willow and Xander and Cordy and Oz and Giles and even my mom, were planning on coming over here to celebrate. But I said that we'd talk about it today."

Angel tied up the last lace and looked up at Buffy. "I'm glad you decided to discuss it with me first instead of just doing whatever you wanted to do."

Buffy slapped him lightly on the head. "This is your apartment too. More of yours than mine. And I was thinking that we could do a little celebrating of our own after the guests leave."

Angel pulled Buffy into his arms. "I could go for that. What did you have in mind?"

Buffy smirked and reached down to his jeans and unbuttoned them. "Something," she started as she with one smooth movement, took his belt off, "like this." Angel sighed. He had just put his clothes on, but he couldn't resist. When he was with Buffy he could never resist.

"I just got dressed," he replied weakly. Buffy reached in for a passionate kiss.

"Well you'll just have to do it again," Buffy said with a smile as she one by one removed his clothing.

Monday Morning
6:15 am

Buffy fluttered her eyelashes and smiled. Angel's arms was around her stomach while she slept on his chest. She took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. She turned her head to look at her boyfriend and moved as close as she could. Even in bed, she hated to be so far from him.

Angel began to stir and rested his head on Buffy's. The phone gave a loud and sharp rang. Buffy moaned. The phone rang again. "Ignore it," Angel said sounding half tired and half annoyed. But after the twentieth ring she decided that she couldn't take it anymore.

"Giles! Is this you calling? Why don't you stop calling us in the morning? We want to sleep!" Angel had finally woken up and smiled grumpily.

On the other end was a short pause then a stuffy voice came over the speaker. "Yes, I-I supposed that I do take advantage of the number but this is highly important."

Buffy rolled her eyes. "Giles, this is the hellmouth, everyday is something important. Get over it! You're gonna have to stop calling everyday!" Angel eyed Buffy and began to kiss her cheek, then her shoulders. She lightly slapped him, but he continued anyway. She closed her eyes and let the pleasure come over, tuning out Giles completely.

Giles began to get angry. "Buffy. Buffy!!"

Buffy quickly opened her eyes. "Oh yeah, hi, I'm doing well."

Giles rolled his eyes impatiently. "I'm trying to tell you something but instead you and Angel are doing God knows what. Since you won't listen to me over the phone then you are to come to the library right now before the sun rises and discuss this. Tell Angel to come with you. He can stay in the library for the rest of the day until you get out."

Buffy objected with an icily tone. "But Giles, right now it's morning and I want to sleep. Can't we talk about this tomorrow?" Giles smiled. He knew this would get her attention,

"I'm afraid not. Right now, in the library. It's highly important so I expect you to be there," he said and then paused. "With Angel."

There was a short hang up and Buffy stayed there and slammed the phone down on the hook. Angel glanced over at Buffy and replied, "What was that about?" Buffy moved closer to him.

"Giles wants us to go to the library right now. If we hurry we can make it to the library in ample time."

Angel silently cursed Giles. He knew that Angel hated to stay up in the morning time. They both rolled out of bed and into the bathroom, both wondering what could be so important that they had to get up this early.

The Sunnydale High School Library
6:45 am

Buffy and Angel were the first ones to arrive at the library. They stood outside the doorway and made out for a minute then headed in. "Okay, Mr. I-can't-let-people-sleep-because-I-have-no-life-so-I-have-to-ruin-others Giles. What could be so important? And please come out of the stacks so I can see you," Buffy said with thoughts of murder in her eyes. Angel comforted her and kissed her. Soon they were once again making out intensely.

Giles came out of the stacks and mumbling. "Why must one always assume that I'm. . ." his voice trailing off. He walked down the stairs and stood in front of Buffy and Angel for five minutes. They were either ignoring him or didn't notice him.

"Buffy. Angel," saying it in a soft and annoyed tone. They both ignored him. The second time he became frustrated. "Uh Buffy, Angel it's time to stop now." Still they paid no attention. The third time though he was ready to kill the both of them. "DO I HAVE TO REMIND YOU THAT THIS IS A LIBRARY AND NOT A CLIFF OVERLOOKING THE TOWN?" Giles said yelling as loud as he could then coming back to his normal self. Buffy and Angel suddenly pulled apart.

Angel became annoyed. "We'd be home at this time doing this but you couldn't wait to call so here we are. It's sort of a routine and I don't like messing up my routine." Buffy turned her head to face Giles and gave him the look that told him to back off.

Giles walked in to his office and came back out with a book and laid it on the table. Buffy tried to look in it but he closed it before she could see anything. "Wait until all the other's come. The explanation is rather lengthy and complicated. I want to do this with everyone present." Giles took his eye glasses off and cleaned them.

Angel sighed. "Well, at least they don't get to sleep either. You know Giles you could have told us about this last night so we could have had at least a full five hour sleep. We haven't had one of those since Christmas of '82."

Buffy looked at her boyfriend with shock. "Giles brings out the worst in us all. Appearantly you've gotten Angel to make a joke which I think says a lot."

Giles glanced over at the 242 yr. old icily. "Angel, if you presume with this conversation, you might earn Buffy and extra hour of training, which I know she just loves so much now."

Buffy pulled out a stake causing Angel to flinch. "Talk, and your ashes will be scattered across the Pacific." Angel let out a low growl and began to pace.

Angel's ears perked up at the sound of noise. Buffy then began to hear it too. Giles looked up from his book and pointed towards the library entrance. They all walked over to the door to investigate the noise. An amused expression lit up on Angel and Buffy's face and Giles just stood there and whispered, "Not again."

Xander Harris and Cordelia Chase were standing in the door way making out. It took three minutes for them to look up and notice two amused faces and one disturbed, watching them intensely though the circle glass. Cordelia finally pushed the door open and stormed through the room with Xander's hand enfolded with hers.

"This better be a good one Giles. Every time Xander and I find some time alone together, you have to call and ruin everything. My cell phone is for the occasional emergencies, not the 'Oh there's a demon that Buffy has to kill so lets all come to talk about it.' That happens everyday."

Angel cocked back his head and closed his eyes. "Yeah tell me about it. The guy has major obsession with phones and calling people."

Cordelia shook her head and smiled sincerely. "See? I'm not the only one here. Trust me I feel your pain." Angel laughed softly as Cordelia sat down with a pout.

Buffy couldn't help resist bringing the question up. "What were you doing out with Xander at this time of the morning?" the Slayer challenged Cordelia.

Rolling her eyes she replied snobbishly, "Gee, it's called privacy. Try it sometimes. I didn't ask you if you and Angel slept together the minute you moved into his place did I?" she asked with the hint of really wanting to know in her voice. She continued. "No, I didn't because I have more manners than that. But if you must know, Xander and I thought it would be nice to have a picnic in the morning to watch the sunrise."

Buffy whispered something in Angel's ear who looked like he was really turning red, and slowly nodded. Buffy turned to the rest of the group. "Cordy's right. I should have never asked so now to answer the question, because I don't like owing explanations, yes Angel and I became intimate the night I moved in. I think that it was leading toward the obvious side already. And as you can see his soul is still there. And if it's not then he's one hell of an actor."

Xander tried to absorb this piece of news. He looked at Buffy with pure anger and then looked at Giles obviously waiting for something out of the Watcher old-fashioned mouth. When he didn't get what he was looking for he, began to fume.

"Giles, what happened to the speech? You know, where you say, 'I'm shocked that you did this again Buffy. Angel too. You both know that I don't condone this as an outsider and a Watcher.' That would only be fair."

Giles blushed repeatedly and began to fiddle with his handkerchief. "That's b-be-because I already knew." Xander almost choked.

"You what? And you didn't say anything? And when were you planning telling your bestest of friends that you were moving in with Dropped Dead, Twice, Fred? I mean Cordy knew before I did? You guys hate each other."

Buffy smiled. "I told everyone else because I knew everyone else could take it better than you could."

Giles began to twist the handkerchief and fold it. "Well, they told me about it. And I told them that it was their choice. And since Angel had his soul. . .they love each other! I don't know, but I know that I trust them."

Just then Oz and Willow came through the door. Buffy sighed with relief as the tension calmed down. "Playing smoochies too?" They both blushed and nodded. Once again Giles threw a fit.

Oz sat down and Willow sat on his lap. Oz looked directly at Buffy and Angel and smiled. "I'm glad that we waited to come in because I would have been definitely on the red side. That was pretty intense."

Xander walked over to the desk where the books were and sat on the desk. "Exactly how much did you hear?" Willow finally spoke up.

"On not much really. Only the part where Buffy told everyone that she and Angel were um..that she and Angel were having. . .I mean making. . .well, you know."

Willow shyly looked at Angel. "That we were making love?" he replied helping her out. She nodded gratefully towards him.

Xander picked up the book and looked at the picture that stood out. "Is this what you wanted to talk to us about?" he asked as he showed the rest of the gang the picture. Giles nodded and took the book and handed it to Buffy.

"Buffy can you tell me what you think the picture means?" She took the book and sat it on the table. She studied it for a moment. There was a girl with a stake in her hand. Three other girls lying on the ground. A vampire hugging the girl with the stake, two boys lay on the ground, and a man with a book in his hand also on the ground. She looked a little more closer and after a moment she began her interpretation.

"This is going to sound weird but I think the girl with the stake in her hand is the Slayer. Because the stake represents a Slayer, plus she's got the whoel cross thing working for her. The three girls and two boys and the man are on the ground and it looks like they're rising. Well, except for this one. If you look closer you can see the two little cross necklaces in their hands and the boys have regular wooden crosses in their hands. They must have known the Slayer and that vampires really existed. And the guy with the book, well it's obvious he's the Watcher. And isn't it quaint that there are two boys like Oz and Xander and the other three girls could be Willow, Cordy, and I don't know about the last one. And then the vampire comforting the Slayer, that could be Angel. Let's face it, when was the last time you've seen a vamp hug a slayer passionately. Never. Angel and I would be the only couple of that category."

Giles rubbed his eyes. He had know idea that Buffy would pick up this fast. "Buffy it's exactly how you said it was. Hold on." He got up and walked back into his office and came back with a cup of coffee. "Now read the page across from the picture."

Buffy glanced at the picture one last time and the focused on the words. "'And it shall come to the past, when the Slayer will be killed by the master. She will rise again and be the first to ever kill one. She will not know what she has become. And those who know of her identity will die and rise again. One will become a creature of the moon for a short time and then become forever and the rest will rise after death. Only but one will lay still to the earth. The benevolent creature of the night will loose half of itself and keep it's powers of the half that is lost. The man with the knowledge will also die and rise. This is known as the Circulus de Immortalis Comradorous. It only will happen once and no more.' Giles, what does this mean?"

Before Giles could say anything Cordelia spoke up with an angry tone. "First off, I don't care what they say, but they cannot tell me that I'm going to die. That's not their decision. And second, what is Curlious de Immorality of Comadores?"

Xander couldn't control his self any longer and bust out laughing. Giles glared at him and he immediately stopped. "It's Circulus de Immortalis Comradorous. In English that means 'The Circle of Immortal Friends.'

Buffy finally realized what Giles was trying to say. "You mean this could be us?" Giles simply nodded and launched into an explanation.

"Lets start from the beginning shall we? It says that the Slayer will kill the master after being killed by it first but she will rise. Buffy the same thing happened to you. You were the Chosen that killed the master. You have your Slayer powers and your immortal powers, which explains why your training session have been more intense since then. If they are indeed we're the people they're talking about, then that means that you're already immortal."

Buffy didn't open her mouth. She just looked at Giles dumbfounded. But he wasn't finished. There was still more. "When it says creature of the moon, they mean a werewolf like yourself Oz. And Angel I did some more checking and apparently the book says that you'll loose your demon. You won't be a vampire anymore but jut a regular immortal. It also says that you will keep your vampire powers in addition to immortal powers. The rest of us I presume will just be killed and we'll rise again."

"You mean I've been immortal for almost a year and didn't even notice it? Talk about being blind," Buffy said in astonishment.

Angel closed his eyes and let what he just heard flow through his body. "You mean no more demon? I can just walk out into the sunlight?"

Buffy got up and sat on Angel's lap and ruffled his hair and smiled at him. "I guess it does."

And of course Xander provided the comic relied by saying, "So does that mean we get the Kitana Sword in Highlander and behead our enemies? Cause that would be on the cool side."

Cordelia was smiling and looked like she was day dreaming. A definite change from three minutes ago when she thought she was going to die permanently. "So what you're saying, is that we can die and then come back immortal right? Well, I want to put in my order for it now! Think about it. Look at Angel. He died when he was like 20 or something, 240 something years ago! I mean he's not exactly bones and wrinkles. So if I die now, then I get to stay 17 forever and look good. See? Death can be cool sometimes." Everyone started to laugh uncontrollably.

As usual Oz took it with the same way he would take anything else. "This is very cool. I personally never expected to live forever, but I can't mess with the Will of God man."

Willow was alread thinking big thoughts. "Think about th peace we could bring about in the world. And all the history we'll know. And what we could do to help make this earth a better place."

Giles got up and made another cup of coffee and talked in the office. "I don't know about this Highlander chap that you've mentioned but all of you, with the exception of Buffy and Angel, will need to learn how to use a sword. An immortal can only be killed by beheading. Of course, I'll have to check up on that. Until, then be careful and don't do anything rash. We still have to be completely sure. We don t know if Buffy really is immortal yet. We don't have that much proof. Lets wait and see what arises. We'll handle it from there. That's all I wanted to discuss with you. So we'll meet here again tomorrow."

The group got up in their own thoughts but Giles stopped them once more. But let me warn you. This won't be all fun and games. This is a serious risk. Not only will Buffy be fighting vampires and the hellmouth's demons, she'll have to fight other immortals as well. Since you know of her idenity that puts you in more risk, and you'll have your own fighting to worry about. Which means more practice and I do mean Buffy. We're crossing into a completely new world that we don't know about for ourselves with the exception of Angel of course."

Buffy rolled her eyes. "Oh great, I can't even get a great deal on being immortal. Well, this just sucks doesn't it? But I won't complain. I mean I have to do this anyway so why should I actually win at anything?"

Giles continued. "And please remember, that we don't know if we are the ones. They could be very well talking of someone else. We don't know for sure. Keep an eye out and don't get lax on your guard. We may very well be the wrong people."

"Sure, Giles, spoil the party, ruin the fun," Xander replied seriously. "We didn't want to be it anyway."

Buffy wore a confused expression again. "I don't get it though. Who is the person that dies?" Everyone was silent for a minute. Giles saw everyone seated in a chair and looked to the last empty one. A single tear fell down his cheek. Everyone but Angel still looked confused.

He had figured it out. "Jenny," was all he said as he got up from the table. Buffy looked down at the table. Angel threw the book down on the floor. "This wouldn't have happened if Buffy would have just killed me. Maybe if I would have just left without acting on my emotions, you would have been a lot better off." Giles looked at Angel. He had no anger towards him now that he realized what it was.

"Angel it was a prophecy. She was supposed to die. I realize that now. And we've both been able to move on."

Buffy cast a thankful look towards Giles. "Angel I'm telling you that this was not your fault. And I would rather die than know that I had a chance to be with you again, forever maybe."

Cordelia and Xander got up and headed for the door. "Well, this our cue. I don't know how many times she has to run that same line over again. Giles, we're going. We have 10 minutes to get back to watch the sunrise."

Buffy held up a hand that signaled them to wait. "Can you drive us home? I really want this one to make it back in the form of himself." Xander rolled his eyes as Cordelia said yes. "Great. I'll go get the black blanket just in case."

Oz and Willow broke away from a moment just enough to let everyone know that they were staying to help Giles "research stuff." Giles sighed. "If hormonal groping and kissing is part of the research, then go home now." But once again Oz and Willow weren't listening and started back where they left off. Buffy and Angel headed for the door to join Xander and Cordelia.

Angel and Buffy's Apartment
7:15 am

Buffy opened the door with her key and stepped in with Angel by her arm. She went across the room and shut the blinds then came back and took the blanket off of Angel. "Good thing I brought this with me." She dropped the blanket on the floor and walked over to the couch and collapsed tiredly on it. Angel came to join her. "I can't believe that I'm immortal. It just I don't feel like I am you know? Hold on."

She got up and went to her dresser and took the picture of herself that was taken about four months ago, and then she took the picture out of her wallet. It was taken a year ago when she was 16. She rejoined Angel at the couch. "I can't believe this. Look at it. I look exactly the same as I did when I was 16. A little more mature but still exactly the same."

He looked a little more closely and she was right. She hadn't looked a day older than what she was. "Yeah, you do. But what about me? I mean I'll be able to eat real food and stuff. No more blood. And I can finally see and be with you in the sun light. No more vampire."

They had forgotten all about Giles' warning. Even Angel who couldn't help hope that maybe his dream would come true.

Buffy laid her head back on Angel's chest. "Do you realize that we'll be together forever? That nothing will stand in our way?" Angel sighed.

"Buffy I'll always love you and no one else. You're the only for me. And I wouldn't want to be immortal with anyone else but you. I've loved you since the first time I saw you through the window." Angel caught himself, but it was to late. The damage had been done. Buffy looked at him with confusion.

"What are you talking about? Angel is there something you know that I don't know? If so explain. Now." Angel closed his eyes and cursed himself inwardly.

"I'm going to say this so don't interrupt me." A single tear trickled down his face. "Two years ago, I was a bum in NYC I knew about my inheritance but didn't want it. I didn't deserve to live richly. I was eating a rat every month. Whistler found me and told me that I could be somebody, a person, to be counted for. He would show me what it was and then I would decide what I would do from there. He brought me to LA. I drove up in a car with windows painted black. I saw you talking to your friends about a guy named Tyler. And I couldn't help but think that you were a snob who would get killed easily. But I looked in your eyes and I saw something deeper.

"Then your first watcher came up to you and told who you were and you looked confused. That night I saw you kill your first vampire. I thought you were going to die. I wanted to help you. There was no need. In all your confusion and newness to the game, you held your own. He drove you home and you lied to your mom about where you were. And you went into your bathroom and cried. You heard your parents fighting and the idea of what just happened out there in the cemetery scared you."

He stopped and looked down and the back at Buffy. She was about to say something but his held up his hand and told her to wait. "That's when I fell in love with you. I wanted you to stop feeling pain. I wanted to take it away and put it in me. I wouldn't care, I already had it. And then you came to Sunnydale and I had to make like I didn't know who you were. That's why when you knocked me down, I told you that I expected someone taller. I couldn't let you know why I was there."

Buffy pressed her lips against his and hugged him. "I'm not mad. You were my guardian angel before I even knew. That's even better. I'm just glad that you wanted to love me. I don't know why though. I'm not the most you can get out of a woman. I'm not even a woman at that. I'll never be."

Angel stared at her disbelief. He couldn't believe she said that. "No, you aren't the most. You're all a man, or in my case a vampire with a soul, could ever look for in a woman. Even more. If you don't know that by now then I'll never be able to get you to see it. I don't even understand how you could love me. But I thank you for it. For being able to accept who I am." By this time both of them were crying. Soon they fell a sleep in each others arms dreaming of each other.

Afternoon
One Month Later
3:00 pm

Buffy walked in to her place and dropped her book bag on the floor. "A whole summer with no school! What do I do?" She went over and sat on the bar stool. A loud slam rang through the apartment and she shrieked.

Angel appeared as he closed the door on the fridge. "Well, for starters you can spend it with me."

Angel was holding a bag of Doritos and a cheese and mustard sandwich. "How many time have I told you to make noise or say hi?" She smiled and looked down at the food. "Angel when's the last time that you've had blood?" Angel looked confused and then looked at the wall.

"I've been drinking blood. But I like Doritos." Buffy shook her head.

"No, I haven't seen you take blood out of that fridge for about a week. You've been eating regular foods and haven't stopped yet." Angel shrugged. He was defensive not because he didn't want to change, it was just that he couldn't believe that he didn't have the demon in him. It was too hard for him to imagine life as just a regular immortal.

"You don't know what you're talking about."

Buffy rolled her eyes. "Fine. Let's do the ultimate test then. Morph into your vamp face." He smiled. That should be easy. He tried to morph, but it didn't work.

"Let me try it again."

He did it again and still nothing happened.

"Angel, I don't think you're a vamp anymore. I think, you're a full pledged human immortal." Angel's eyes widened at this thought. He had been a vampire for so long that he felt sort of naked without it.

"Are you sure? I don't want to get my hopes up."

Buffy smiled. "I think so. This is all I ever dreamed of. Us being normal. Well, as normal as the hellmouth will let us be. Still there's only one way for us to tell. We have to go out in the sun. Just stick your arm out in the doorway and then if it burns then you're still a vamp, and if you're not burned then that means you aren't. Then we go to the door where it leads to the outside and do the same thing."

Angel went to the doorway, with Buffy close behind him. He looked at her. She nodded for him to open it.

"It's only your arm."

He nodded and swallowed a sigh. Reluctantly he opened the door. Slowly he put his finger out, than his whole hand. Buffy got impatient and pushed his whole arm out. He closed his eyes ready to take the pain but, to his amazement, nothing happened. He apprehensively looked at Buffy and she smiled. "Now move your whole body outside." Still not sure that he wanted to do this, but went outside anyway. She followed him and then opened the big metal door. The sun came pouring in on her face.

"Come on Angel. Let's see if it works out here too." He walked over behind the door. She took his arm and with trust in his eyes, she pushed it out. Once again nothing happened.

Buffy went behind the door and got Angel to come out. The sun pour down on his eyes and he winced in pain.

"What?" Buffy implored, concerned.

"I haven't been out in the sun for a while and it hurt my eyes at first. I'm okay now though."

She smiled in relief. She fell into his arms and cried. "I've waited for so long to do this. I've wanted to see you in the sunlight since we met. I feel so complete now." Angel stroked her hair and whispered words of comfort.

"I know. But it's okay now. I'm here and like you said we can have a reasonably normal life now." Buffy pressed her lips to his. She ran her hands through his head as he rubbed her back. Slowly they closed the door. Buffy smiled and wiped her eyes.

"Let's go inside. We need to celebrate." Angel kissed Buffy's neck.

"Do we?" Buffy mocked an innocent expression, then smiled mischievously.

"It would only be the right thing to do." Angel and Buffy backed up into the apartment and slammed the door.

One Hour Later

"Isn't this nice?" Buffy asked as she and Angel strolled through the park in the mid-afternoon. Angel stopped and looked down at her.

"No, it's beautiful. You're beautiful. You know how you told me that you didn't look all that great in the sun? Well you lied. You're just as perfect." Buffy blushed.

"Thanks. And you look even more better." She leaned up against his chest. She listened closely and a tear fell down her cheek. "Angel, listen. I can hear your heart beating. And I can feel your breath." Angel listened. He had been so shocked that he hadn't even realized that he could breathe again. He closed his eyes and listened to it. It felt so good. She grabbed his hands. "And look! No more cold hands. You have body temperature." He nodded and continued to walk.

"How does it feel like to be an immortal human? Coping well?" Angel picked her up and spun her around. She laughed gleefully kicking her legs up in the air.

"I'm doing fine. I'm used to being immortal, just not human. And you?"

He put her down as she shrugged. "I don't know. I've been immortal for a year now. It's seems normal to me. I just hope that Spike and the rest of the vamps don't find out," she said in a nervous tone. Pushing thoughts of darkness out of her mind she spoke up perkily, "Let's go to the library. We can surprise everyone. Giles got the gang to help him put some of his books away." Angel nodded as they headed down the park's path.

 -

Angel and Buffy walked into the library. Cordy and Xander were actually coexisting for once in their lives, putting some books in a box. Willow was scanning some books and Oz was helping Giles go through the card catalogue. "Need any help?" Giles looked up from the table and gestured for them to come over.

"Hello Buffy, Angel." Giles looked up again causing him to do a double take. "Angel? How did you get in here without a blanket or. . ." his voice trailed off as he saw Buffy was grinning from ear to ear.

"Guess what? It worked! I noticed that Angel hadn't had any blood in a while, instead he was eating regular foods and stuff. So we stuck his arm out in the door to see if he was still a vampire and he wasn't. So here we are talking to you, walking around in the daylight like a complete and total happy couple."

Giles stared in astonishment and got up. "Well this is good. We now have complete confirmation that we are the group the book has mentioned. I talked to the Watcher's Council and they said that upon finding the prophecy, if it truly is the right group of peoples, then the changes will take effect over the course of time. It has been a month. So we have out second confirmation. Now, can you help me file some of the new books away?" Both nodded and headed off with a stack of books together and went behind the stacks.

"Giles, I know that this sounds dumb and all, but since we know that we are the group that the book is talking about, could you kill me now? I don't want to age another day!" Cordy demanded as much as pleading.

Xander felt her head. "Are you okay? We can't just get kill ourselves, so lets just wait it out and see what happens. It may be us but I'm no looking forward to die a brutal death just so I can be forever."

"He has a point Cordelia. I mean, what if its not the way you're supposed to die to become immortal. Then you'll justbe young and dead," Willow pointed out.

Cordelia glared at her. "Thank you Alloy girl."

Oz spoke up. "She has a point, Cordelia. Patience is the key to a healthy life."

"But look at Buffy and Angel. They're immortal and they didn't age and th-" Giles cut her off.

"That's because they were already under certain circumstances. The book doesn't give us any kind of lore on how we are supposed to become immortal. They have a picture, but we don't know what it means. The best thing to do is just to wait."

Cordelia rolled her eyes and reluctantly got back to her work. She couldn't believe how everyone was just taking this lightly. Xander kissed her as a comforting notion. She responded throwing the book down.

"Hello! Watch what you do with those books! They're first editions and they mean a lot to me," Giles said turning around to see the couple kissing.

"Teenagers." He went up to the stacks to see how Buffy and Angel were doing with the filing. He reached the final stair and turned to see nothing but the two of them groping and kissing. They hadn't even began to file the books. Giles turned away and muttered, "Correction, Teenagers and Ex-Vampires who had souls." He went back down the stairs hoping to find that Willow and Oz weren't joined to the lips as well. But today, luck wasn't on his side. As he came down the landing he saw Willow sitting on the desk with Oz caressing her neck. This was the final straw. He went back into his office and slammed the door where he stayed for the rest of the day.

Later That Night At The Bronze
10:00 PM

Willow looked at the stage and smiled as her boyfriend, who was lead guitarist for Dingoes Ate My Baby, gave her their secret wink. She winked back and continued to smile. Xander who sat across from Willow and Cordy rolled his eyes. "Why would she want to date Hairy Boy? The fact that he's a werewolf doesn't help the relationship at all from my point of view." Cordy stared at Xander with her glare that meant she was getting tired of hearing him.

"Well, Xander it's a good thing that Willow has a mind of her own. You should be dating her since all you ever seem to do is talk about her and Oz." He glared at her like she was crazy.

"No, I'm just worried for her."

Cordy brought her hand towards his face and simply said, "Kiss me." Xander didn't think twice before pulling her closer.

Willow looked towards the entrance long enough to spot Buffy and Angel coming in. "Hey guys Buffy and Angel are here." She looked over and saw the two ignoring her and doing her thing. The two made their way to the rest of the gang at the usual table.

"Hi Will," Buffy said, shouting over the music.

Willow smiled and waved as Angel looked fascinated with Cordy and Xander. "I mean even we come up for air at some point. I saw them kissing while we were at the door and they haven't broken away since."

Buffy smiled. Willow admired as she looked at Buffy's ensemble. She was wearing a black one piece dress with thin spaghetti straps. As she thought about it, it was the same one she did the sexy dance with Xander. "Nice dress Buffy." Buffy smiled and mouthed a thanks. Both looked at Angel as he came back from the bar. She hadn't even noticed that he was gone. He sat down beside her and put the plate down. Three pieces of chocolate fudge brownies were surrounded by cherries. Then he put down big glass of cookies & cream ice cream on the table. Willow glanced at him strangely and earned an amused look from Buffy.

Xander smelled something. He broke away from Cordelia and closed his eyes. "I smell three chocolate fudge brownies with cherries and a large glass of Hershey's Cookies & Cream." He opened his eyes and looked down at the plate and smiled. "I was right. It's the sixth scent for smelling food." Cordy rolled her eyes. Everyone reached for something but Angel grabbed the plate and glass before anyone could get it. "What about sharing with your friends?" Xander said as he continued to stare at the brownies.

Angel put the spoon in his ice cream and smiled. "It amazes me that the only time you come up for air, or the only time I'm your friend, is when food is involved," he said sarcastically.

Buffy took her hand and played with Angel's hair. "I've been giving Angel food that we eat all day. So when you come over, if Angel isn't around, you can raid the cupboard. There's nothing but Cheese Curls, Doritos, and for some odd reason his new obsession, Oodles of Noodles."

Willow smiled. "He's our own little food compactor. It must be great to be able to want for food now huh?" Oz had come off the stage to join the rest of them by this time.

"Yeah. We didn't have this kind of stuff in my day. This stuff called Velveeta, was unheard of. And its good, even though the cheese in our day was much better. Especially with haggis."

Buffy put a hand over his mouth. "Stop right there honey. You're ruining it for everyone else."

Angel was about to put the fork full of brownie in his mouth but Buffy stopped him. She took his ice cream and dipped a little of it on top of the brownie. "Now try it." Angel stuffed the fork into his mouth. He chewed it for a while and then with pleasure, swallowed it.

"This stuff," he said stuffing more in his mouth, "is delicious. It's almost better than. . okay, wait it's the second best thing besides it." Buffy smacked him on the head and laughed. Buffy took the ice cream glass and positioned it where both she and Angel could reach it.

"Hey, how come time Buffy gets some?" Xander chirped.

"She's special like that," Angel said as he took a spoon full of ice cream and put in his girlfriends mouth. Buffy and Angel began to take turns hand feeding each other causing Willow, Oz, and Cordy to smile at them romantically.

Xander made a gagging noise and Cordy smacked him upside the head. "There's nothing gross about that. It's sweet, sexy, and romantic. How come time you don't hand feed me? Oh, wait let me guess, you'd probably eat it before I'd even open my mouth." Xander gave Angel dirty looks. He always seemed to get him in trouble by doing something romantic.

"Honey," he said turning his attention towards Cordelia, "I wouldn't do that. I'd save some crumbs for you."

Willow and Oz excused themselves and went to dance. Buffy put the last piece of brownie in his mouth as he gave her the last bit of the ice cream. "Let's dance," Buffy whispered into Angel's ear. He nodded and gave a half smile. They got up and headed towards the dance floor. Xander played follower and did the same.

Buffy and Angel slow danced to the beautiful beat that the music was offering the slow dancers.. Consuelo Riley's There Can Be No One Else, was blasting from the speakers. Buffy gripped Angel tighter for support.

I keep telling myself, that you'll never leave me
And that you'll always be true
But I can't help but wonder
What a person like me is doing with you

Buffy closed her eyes and inhaled the scent of her lover's cologne. It was so easy to just lose herself inside of him. "Angel, are you happy with me? I mean do you wish that you would've meant someone else?"

Taking it slowly as we drift away
To another place in the far off land
This is what it feels like to lose my self to you
So just try to understand

"Don't you get tired of me having to tell you no over and over again? Buffy you are the constant light of my life. I love you so much that it hurt to be so close to you knowing that you would die either because of slaying or because you would get old and leave me. But now it's like I'll never lose you. You give me so much to look up to each day. Don't ever think I'll stray, because I can't."

Bridge I
But it's okay, I know you're here
Just need to kiss away my fears
But you have to see, why I'm scared
That we'll both let go of the love we shared

Buffy rested her face back on Angel's shoulder blade and listened to his heart beat. It was racing wildly. "I know, but sometimes I have to ask myself if it's really real. I don't want to lose you. There is so many more woman out there for you, that I get scared that you might decide that I'm wrong for you. And I can't live with that. I'd die if I couldn't be with you."

Chorus
I don't want to leave just yet
Let's stay a little longer
Cause I never want to forget
This very moment in time
I need to tell you this now
You're all I ever really needed
Don't ask me how

Angel winced at that thought. "Shh. Don't talk like that. I'll never leave you. I'm not saying we won't fight and argue but I'll always be happy with you and no one else."

I never had a love that made me feel suicidal
Whenever you weren't right here by my side
I tried to keep my distance away from you
But feelings like these you know you just can't hide

They both silenced themselves and memories began to appear in their heads. They remembered the first time they meant. And the time at the Bronze when they were supposed to share one last kiss and walk away. To the night where the made passionate love as if it was the last time they would see each other, and what it had caused the morning after. Suddenly the memories faded away and they began to live in the moment. They danced silently to the rest of the song.

I'll take all the memories the good and the bad
As long as they are memories with you
I'll take the happy ones and even the sad
As long as I can share them with you.

Bridge II
I hope this moment will last forever
All the good times we spent together
The way you touched me on my face
And all the times that we've embraced

Chorus:
I don't want to leave just yet
Let's stay a little longer
And I don't ever want to forget
This very moment in time
I need to tell you this right now
You're all I ever really needed

Take a little trip down memory lane
And see what we had and always will
Cause you are my life and everything I am
Till the end of time, this is how I'll feel

Chorus:
I don't want to leave just yet
Let's stay a little longer
And I don't ever want to forget
This very moment in time
I need to tell you this right now
You're all I ever really needed

Don't ask me how

Spike walked into the library with Dru and his gang right by his side. Willow, Oz, Xander, and Giles were in there finishing up the books the promised to help with.

"Well, well, well," Spike said loudly as he stepped over the threshold. "Doesn't this look like a cozy meeting in the Scooby Doo Headquaters."

Dru laughed. "I have a feeling that this is the night for a tasty treat. Daddy and his little girl will be here soon. Then there will be no left overs for him. Poor baby." She held Miss Edith to her ear and laughed. "Miss Edith says that there are some ber bad people in this room tonight and that they'll have to pay. She's already payed her ticket to see the show."

Cordelia, always blunt, looked at Dru. "Wow, Buffy was right, Angel did send you for a ride on the Loonsville Express." Xander looked at her as well as the others. "What? Do I once again have to remind you of my take on the word tact?"

Spike and Dru morphed and moved in closer to the gang. Spike licked his lips. "Dig in ladies and gents, but leave two for me and Dru. We are after all the ones, that brought you to this little feast."

Since no one could fight off the vampires without Buffy, they knew they were doomed. They all held out as long as they could but eventually the vampires had the upper hand. Xandr looked at Willow and Cordelia. "They were getting it first of course. He ran over to take them out of their death, but it was too late. He didn't remember much after that. He was taken next, with Oz and Giles who were last.

Giles looked at the room and the children he was responsible for, before he took his last breath and the room got hazy. "This is it," was all he said, and then closed his eyes.

Spike and Dru surveyed the room to their satisfaction. It was all done. Lets see what the Slayer and her pet did now. "Let's leave them a note. I am after all English. It would be rude for me not to."

Buffy and Angel said after the Bronze, they would meet the rest of the gang in the library. They just wanted to go home and change and make sure the everything was okay. Giles always held late night meetings to keep the rest of the gang 'well informed' as he put it. After the meeting they would hunt.

"I still can't believe that Giles wants me to spend the rest of the summer doing this. And why do we have to meet in the library?" Angel grinned as he held out the door for his girlfriend.

"Do now, pout later lover." She took her stake out and pointed it to his heart. Angel cocked back his head and laughed.

"That doesn't work on me anymore. Remember?" Buffy looked at the stake and finally remembered that he was no longer a vampire.

"Yeah I do. I just. . .it hasn't really sunk in yet you know? I'm gonna miss doing that though. What am I gonna threaten you with now, when things don't go my way?" Slowly he pulled her to his body.

"I'm sure you'll find something," he whispered softly into her ear. They broke a part and walked into the school.

Opening the doors with happiness written all over them, they gasped in horror as they saw the sight that laid upon their very eyes. Giles in the middle of the floor in a pool of blood with Willow next to him. Cordelia and Xander slumped over each other with a sword pierced through them. Buffy bellowed a low sob and began to shake her head violently. She backed up against the wall and put her hand over her mouth like she was about to catch vomit.

"Nooo! I don't believe it. This-it wasn't supposed to happen like this!"

Angel ran over to Giles and then to Willow. He noticed another body hidden under a pile of books scattered on the floor. It was Oz. Buffy sunk down to the floor and began to shake all over. Angel raced back toward her and tried to whisper words of comfort into her ears.

"It's okay Buffy, Shhhh. It's going to be okay. If Giles is right about us being the prophecy, then they'll rise again." Buffy shook her head.

"Still, it's different. It wasn't supposed to happen this way. How could they?"

A rush of energy shot through Buffy like a bolt of lightning. Immortal or no immortal friends, whoever did this was going to be paying. A lot. Angel noticed for the first time a piece of paper lying on the ground next to Buffy. He picked the piece of paper up and put it between them so they both could read it at the same time.

I never much was one for killing people in cold blood.
Oh! Who am I kidding? I was. But this was Dru's
idea. I happened to like it so I went with it.
if I were you, then I would take this as
a warning. A warning that's telling
you to stop seeing each
other or more
of your
pets
die.
Take
it like
you want. But
If I were you, I'd just
watch my back from now
on. Just thought that I would leave
you a note. I'm not that rude. I hope you know
that really pets, it's nothing really against the both
of you. It's just that you've been pissing me off a lot lately.

Yours Forever,
Dru and Spike

"Once again they show their artistic side. I thought they left town."

Buffy shrugged and glared coldly at the letter. "I don't give much of a damn."

Just then Giles started to stir as well as Willow. They were a bit confused at first then saw Buffy and Angel and realized what was going on. Oz then Cordy and Xander came out of it also. Xander winced. "Okay can someone be kind enough to pull the sword out of my stomach?" Willow looked at them and began to choke. Giles rushed over to Xander and quickly removed the weapon causing to make Cordy scream in pain. Oz was helping Willow recover from the shock.

Buffy got up and breathed a sigh of relief. "Ohmigosh! Thank goodness you guys are alright. I thought I would never see you again."

Angel glanced worriedly over at Giles who seemed to lost a lot more blood than any of the others. "Yes. I'm-I'm alright. I guess it worked."

Cordelia slowly got up and screamed once more as she saw her dress covered in blood. "Ugh! This is so not fair. That was new!" But she brightened up as she realized that now she was a complete immortal. "But the pain and the blood stains are worth it for the fact that I'll never get wrinkles or gain a pound again."

Willow still perched in Oz's arms stared at the ceiling. "So that's it huh? I mean no drastic changes?" Giles shook his head.

"Our lives will go on and after a while people will die and we'll just live. And of course as I've said, all with the exception of Buffy and Angel, we'll need to sword fight as well as other forms of martial arts That drastic enough?"

Willow nodded. "I'm seeing the drastic side."

Xander looked at Buffy then to Giles. "So I mean that's it. We're immortal and we just shrug it off? What if the vampires find out?"

Angel never realized how much he loved Xander as a friend. He felt a growl arose in his throat. "Then I'll kill them all." Xander stepped back a little. Then nodded. He was starting to like Angel.

Cordelia smiled as she put her compact into her bag. "Well, I guess this calls for a celebration. How about us going to the Bronze again?" Everyone was up for it.

They headed towards the door not quite comprehending what just happend but making their way through it. Willow turned to Giles. "You can come too if you want Giles."

Giles shook his head in disgust. "N-No that's quite alright. Watching a bunch of teenagers flinging themselves around like they're drunk is not my idea of a fun time. I'll go home and read one of the classics."

Cordy made a face. "Hello? I have a rep to uphold. I'll hang with you guys, but there is no way I can be seen with a middle aged librarian. That just doesn't work."

Buffy rolled her eyes. "And we thought that this new transformation would be a total one. Looks like things don't change much. Bye Giles. Don't stay up to late."

The Watcher shook his head and looked at the mess and wondered how he could possibly clean up the mess and finish his cross referencing by ten.

Buffy and Angel decided they would hunt first. And of course, they had to change clothes.

The teenagers walked out in different directions while Buffy and Angel went off to hunt.
