Prolog:
Buffy was lying in her bed tossing her head side to side. She saw images of her past with Angel. Visions of a clock spinning back and people with blue paint on there skin with togas on. The last image she saw was her in Angels arms repeating the words "I’ll never forget." Buffy awoke with a startle. She didn’t understand what her dream meant. She had all these questions in her mind, " Was this prophesy?", she thought. Buffy relaxed at the sight of her best friend Willow sound asleep next to her. Buffy turned to the clock and it read 4:30 am. Buffy decided to go back to bed but, she also told herself to tell Giles in the morning.
Scene 1:
Buffy knocked on Giles’s door and he motioned her to come in. "Buffy it’s strange to see you so early in the morning. Are you all right," Giles said. "Yeah, well you’d be up to if you had the most strangest and complicated dream last night." Buffy said with a yawn. "Yes most likely I would be. Uh, Anyway, about this dream um, what happened?" Giles said strangely with anticipation. " I saw a clock spinning back, two people who looked like smerfs, and Angel.
Buffy had a flash back and saw more of the blue painted people. "Giles this is strange. I just remembered something about higher powers. Does Oracles ring any bells?" Buffy asked. "Yes, actually of what I’ve known they’re messengers to the higher powers. Why ?" Giles remarked. "I think they’re my smerf guys." Buffy said as getting up from her seat and moving her way towards the door for exiting. " I’m gonna patrol tonight. I’ll give you the info on how many vamps that will be greeted by Mr. Pointy," Buffy said making her way through the door.
Scene 2:
" OK, I’m tired and bored." Buffy said as she was making her way through the cemetery. Buffy heard a noise and she immediately put her slayer sense into fighting mode. " Let’s play a little game called get your ass out of the bushes right now". " Thanks but, no thanks." A young girl of the age 14 said. She had brown hair brown eyes and she had the determined look on her face like Buffy does when she’s in fighting mode. "Who are you?" Buffy asked cautiously. "My name is Kat. I have a friend of ours who might be in trouble. Only we can stop it." " Who is this friend," Buffy asked curiously. "Angel". Kat said. With that she continued, " We have to leave now, only to save him." "Let’s go," Buffy said.
Scene 3:
In LA, Angel was reading a book sitting in a chair by his desk. "Angel, man let’s get out of here. Go some place loud and up beat for a change. You’ve been even more brooding man than usual ever since a certain Slayer has been here. My God man she was here five minutes and she’s driving you insane." Doyle said. " Doyle, Buffy as here for more than 5 minutes try a whole day and night." Angel replied. "Have you been drinking?" Doyle asked. "How come you never told me about the Oracles?" Angel said. "How did… They turned back time didn’t they?" Doyle asked. "Yeah." "Wow, well what happened on that night." "Everything", Angel replied.
Scene 4:
" OK, what are we doing under a post office in downtown LA," Buffy asked. " Well, you wanted to know what the clock symbolizes and what’s happening with Angel. This is a way of finding out," Kat said. " What do I do." Buffy replied. Kat simply answered, " Ask your questions and get out." "Got it." Buffy walked through the gateway for lost souls. "Hello Slayer. We were expecting you," said the Oracles. "Happy to of had an invitation," Buffy replied. "I want to know what the spinning clock means?" Buffy asked. " There was a missing day. A warrior asked to turn back time and we did." "Who was this warrior?" Buffy said. "A Vampire with a soul, Angel." "Make me remember what happened on this missing day." Buffy asked. " When I wave my hand across your face you will remember what happened on this day. All the thoughts and images will enter your mind. Beware with this information because it will bring consequences," The Oracles said. Buffy replied, "Make me remember." With the wave of her hand Buffy saw everything the Oracles promised her and she realized Kat was holding her on the ground. Kat asked with concern, " You OK?" There was a long pause. Buffy just looked at the ground as a single tear began to run from her eye down her cheek. "I am. Angel isn’t." Buffy said.
Scene 5:
At Angel’s apartment he was looking at a picture of Buffy. His face was down and he was looking very depressed. He kept thinking was is the right thing to turn back time. Angel had all these thoughts that contradicted eachother and he knew he will have them for a long time. Angel opened his desk drawer and found his caladdauh ring. He put in on his finger facing towards him because he realized he belonged to Buffy even if they weren’t together.
Scene 6:
Buffy and Kat were at the hotel but, Buffy couldn’t sleep. All the memories in her mind were unbearable to think about. She remembered Angel and her kissing in the sunlight, making love twice on Angel’s kitchen table and in his bed, and also remembering there final goodbye. Buffy couldn’t help but, cry and say the words, " I told you I’d never forget."
Buffy got up out of bed and put blue jeans and a white shirt on. She looked at the clock and it read 3:45 in the morning. She walked out of the door and decided she should go someplace that she shouldn’t go to.
Scene 7:
Angel went upstairs to get some coffee. He pored about a half a cup when realizing someone was inside with him. He grabbed the stake that he used to raise his desk. " Who’s here?" Angel asked. "A friend," Buffy said as turning on the lights. " Buffy," was all Angel could say. " Angel, something has been happening and I need some questions answered." Buffy asked. " OK what?" Angel replied. Buffy went up to him and whispered in his ear, " I told you I never forget. Angel eyes started to get red. Buffy just looked at him with a mix of anger, sorrow, and love in her eyes. Angel finally moved his lips saying, "I guess my secrets out." "I guess so." Buffy stood there saying. Buffy and Angel couldn’t take it anymore. They both moved in closer and there lips met. They were both feeling complete as the both kissed not even realizing a shadow on the roof was watching.
Scene 8:
Buffy and Angel were still in each others arms. Angel wrenched in pain. He never felt this much except when he lost the demon inside of him after making love to Buffy the first time. Angel saw the shadow through a sky light in the roof. "Buffy the roof." Angel cried. Buffy saw nothing but went to the roof and saw a potion and a piece of paper titled Guiding Light. Buffy started looking around. Angel was on the floor still in pain waiting for Buffy to return. Angel saw the shadow. " Who are you?" Angel spoke trying desperately to get to his feet." The figure stepped into the light. "Don’t you remember Angel?" the girl said. "Kat, I killed you," Angel said. " The Oracles rose me and I became a demon to separate good from evil, rightches to the wicked and so forth." Kat replied. " Your redemption is full filled Angel. You can make one wish and it’s a gift given from the higher powers," Kat said. " I wish to have Buffy," Angel spoke and continued, " But it’s impossible."
As Angel said those words Buffy was coming down the stairs and saw Kat. She just stood there waiting and watching. Buffy’s eyes came into shock as she saw Angel being lifted of the ground and lights surrounding him. Then, Angel fell to the ground and Kat spoke, "Well, the higher powers just have just informed me you are half human/ half vampire." "What does that mean?" Angel said. "You can go into the light, eat food, and make love without loosing your soul but, a cross and holy water watch out for. Oh, also your not immortal anymore." Kat replied. " Am I strong? Can I fight demons," Angel asked. " Yes and Yes," Kat answered. Buffy came down the stairs and looked at Angel. " I have to go," Kat said and left.
Buffy looked at Angel. "We have to go some place," Angel replied. Buffy asked, " Where?" " You’ll see."
Scene 9:
Buffy and Angel were on a hill over looking the city watching the sunrise with a blanket under them. They were holding eachother and looking into the sky watching the different shades of colors. Angel interupted saying, " I have something for you." "What?" was all Buffy could say. Angel pulled out the Caladauh ring that Buffy left in the mansion when he came back from hell. " Angel," Buffy said. " I wanted to give this back to you when I thought we be back together permanently. I thought it was a good time," Angel replied. " It’s perfect," Buffy said and she leaned into kiss Angel while putting the ring on facing towards her.
