Tracy and Vachon have a special relationship. Sure it might be a bit ambiguous at times, neither ever knew where they stood with the other romantically. But on a day-to-day basis, I don't think they ever doubted that they were friends.
Given more time, these two might have really have had something. It was building, we could all see it. Sooner or later something was going to give. And for once it did not look like Vachon was going to run away. And Tracy sure as hell wasn't going to back down.
