Review:
There are many people that were upset with the drastic changes after the
Chaos War. I was one of those people. So when I heard that Margaret
Weis and Tracy Hickman would bring direction back to Krynn, I was skeptical.
After finishing this book, my passion for Dragonlance has been revived.
Dragons of a Fallen Sun does bring direction back to Dragonlance.
It took me only 3 days to finish reading this 564 page book, which is
almost record timing for me. The reading was extremely smooth and
flowed very well, even with 3 main settings/subplots in the book.
There are some very intriguing twists in the story that takes Dragonlance
into new and unexplored territory. Some of the mysteries definitely
made me do some thinking. For example, I had to keep wondering if
Mina is good or evil. Who is the One God that she serves? And excellently
written clues kept me on my toes. The ending of the book made me thirst
for Volume 2 immediately, but unfortunately I have to wait probably another
year for it. Dragons of a Fallen Sun sets the stage
for what an excellent epic trilogy. Rating: 10/10.
