Reunion

The humming of the florescent lights within the lab started up as Sinister entered the room and flipped the switch. He looked over to the two captives that sat in the middle of the room. It seemed Logan had woken already and Charles was brought back from his dreams with the bright lights shinning against his eyelids.

"Good Morning, gentlemen." Sinister stopped in front of Xavier and lifted his head slightly inspecting his face. "Charles it seems that you did not sleep well, I suppose it is due to your accommodations." He grinned and moved over to the cell in which Remy and Robin shared. He hit the pad to open the doors and brightening the lighting a tad. He peered into the cell over to Remy's still form and then to Robin whom was propped up on her side. "Any change, my dear?" Sinister frowned as he looked back to Remy's form.

"What do you think?" She snapped. Remy smiled, his playing possum may help them in their escape, but Remy couldn't do that... or could he? His mind was racing once again, he wanted to almost had to face Sinister, but it would be so much easier if Sinister didn't have a clue that he was awake.

Sinister said nothing just stared at Remy's prone form then moved from the cell's doorway and over too his computers.

He had found it, Sinister's base, and they're were defiantly signs of life all over the complex there were kinetic signatures belonging to people inside. And the heat signatures that popped up on a different signal showed that there was at least another fifteen people trapped within the complex, problem being they didn't know how deep down the complex went and which signatures were their people. Four members of the X-Men huddled some twenty yards from the building behind shrubs and a Shi'ar mini cloaking device. All are anxious to get the people within out.

"I just let Jean know to make her way up here with her team. She's going to let Betsy know what's up and have them head back to the mansion." He looked over the three heroes before him. "I doubt they'll make it here before the mission is done so don't count on back-up."

Rogue's gaze kept returning to the building behind her and couldn't quite hear Scott's words. "Rogue... Rogue, pay attention."

"What? Sorry, Cyke." She turned back to the small team intensively.

"Rogue, I want you to go in there, be careful when you are okay try to find out where they are then come back for us or if you can guide us though the comm. link do that.. but don't go in alone, got me."

"Yeah, I'll be careful Scott don't worry." She smiled. "Now give me one of those do-hickeys and I'll get on with it." She took one of the heat indicators and made her way passed the outside cameras. "See ya in a bit." She smiled with a wink and disappeared around a corner.

"Cyke, I'm here." Rogue whispered though the comm. link. "I see Logan and the Professor, but no Remy."

"What about Jewel?" Scott's voice was low, he couldn't risk her being caught.

"No, she's probably with Gambit." Her eyes frantically searched the room and she looked down at her indicator. Two more signatures blinked on the screen, off to the small section that was boxed in and seemed to have an energy field around it.

"How do we get to you?" Cyclops brought her back.

"Down the main corridor, down the elevator shaft." She stopped trying to remember what floor quickly. "Joseph, could probably do that. Ya got to take it down 3 floors, watch out for the cameras, there all over." She took a breather. "To you left then take a right and there will be a door at the end of the hall. Watch the camera's Joe ya might be able to get them with your powers.. I'll meet you there."

"Rogue, stay where you are." Scott ordered... he knew what she was thinking.. just how she said 'I'll meet you there' made his heart jump. She was going to try and get in the room without being noticed. She didn't respond. And in his mind Scott cursed her.

"Logan, Logan..." Rogue whispered down to Wolverine. She herself was in a vent, she had followed it all the way though the complex only coming out to go down the elevator. She whispered and finally caught his attention.

"Rogue?" He himself whispered in surprise and looked though the grid in the wall. This caught Xavier attention and he to looked up.

"Where's Remy? Jewel? They okay?" She whispered. Logan nodded to the spot were the other two life signs showed, Rogue nodded that she understood. "Sinister?" She continued... Logan mouthed that he didn't know but that he wasn't there. Professor X had taken he clue and didn't look to the same spot Logan did.. there might be cameras in the lab though he doubted it. Logan mouthed to her asking her where the others were. "Coming."

"Logan? What's going on?" Robin quietly asked.

"Cavalry, kid."

"He say cav--" A whisper carried though the room, before it was cut short.

"Shh." Robin looked back into the shadows and hissed.

"Sorry."

"Grrr.." Robin throw something though the dark before she heard a grunt. Logan smiled and looked back up to Rogue. Asking her if she was coming down with his eyes. She hit her comm. badge.

"Scott? Ya'll almost here?"

"Yea."

"Good, I'm going down there and going to try and get them out."

"Rogue!"

"Shush, sugar, I'm going down there." Rogue unscrewed the grate and slowly came though putting it back on as the others quickened their pace. Rogue floated to the ground and to Logan. "How do I get these things open?" She look between the three contraptions.

"My release is over there," he pointed to a panel. "Chucks I don't know and the kids I'm not sure."

"Oh thanks," she grumbled. "Lot of help ya'll are." She smile back at him as she worked on releasing him.

"Chere!" Remy practically pushed Robin out of the doorway. "What ya doing here?"

"Rescuing you, ya stupid swamp rat!" She threw the light comment over her back and hit a few more keys. Logan hit the floor with a thud and a few curses. "Professor, ya know where your release is?"

"Yes, on the side." He watched her eagerly as she flew over to open the mechanism and Logan moved over to the twins to try to release them. Xavier began to fall a the hiss of the locks opened, Rogue caught him just before he hit the floor.

The door open with a loud explosion and the scutting of three X-Men covering on another. Lasers flew passed them, harpoons, and projectiles hit the walls with a cling and fell to the floor. The doors shut.

"Hurry, Rogue!" Remy urged her, there wasn't much time.

"I can't, there's nothing here, damn it where's that panel." She hit the panel just as a bright flash appeared to her right. Sinister appeared in it's place. And a ball of energy slammed into her and she flew into the fall wall.

"ROGUE!" Remy instinctively stepped forward zapping himself slightly.

"Rogue, get up girl!" She hadn't moved since the impact. "Come, babe, get up!" Sinister looked back at Remy with a little of surprise in his eyes and then moved over to the panel to open the doors of the lab and let his Marauders in. He hit the button and the three tired X-Men were assaulted once more, Remy looked around frantically feeling helpless.

Rogue finally got to her feet and flew strait for Sinister's gut slamming him against a computer terminal nearly totally destroying it, the field fluctuated.

Logan had joined the fight by now and was in a heated battle with Arclight. Bobby a.k.a. Iceman had frozen Scrambler to the floor already and was now up against Blockbuster. Joseph was working on both Harpoon and Riptide as they assaulted with there deadly weapon, protecting the other members or the team. Vertigo had been taken out, as well as had Prism, with one shot but the others remained. Scalphunter had enjoyed taking a piece of flesh from Cyclops's side leaving him bleeding badly and his energy for hand to hand combat down to zero, Cyclops was forced to killed Scalphunter with one blast to the head with his deadly optic blast. While Rogue distracts Sinister, Professor Xavier makes it over to the control panels and quickly tried to find some way to let the two imprisoned out.

"Cyclops." Xavier called to his first student. "Blast the computers, it's the only way to get the others out."

"On it," He blasts the computers to the left and right of Xavier and he come to retrieves him. Picking Xavier up he makes his way backwards careful not to get hit from behind, he blasts once more destroying the main computer.

"NO." Sinister bellows and blasts at Cyclops, then a Rogue once more. Remy and Robin scurried out of the cell finally. Scott shot at Sinister in retaliation Remy dodged it and ran over to Rogue, Robin moved in front of Cyclops and blasted at Sinister.

"Go, get him outta here." She barked back at Scott.

"I'm fine, just keep Sinister's attention."

Scott did a sweet of the room, Logan had taken out his opponent and was now helping Joe and Iceman with Blockbuster and Riptide. Gambit had gotten to Rogue and helped her up, she took his hand and flew them back over to Jewel and the others. Remy's eyes had watched Sinister with a sadness as he flew by and Sinister had actually looked back at him with almost the same feeling. Giving Jewel the opportunity to shoot her father whom she still knew nothing about. He grunted as it hit him and with a flash and a look of pain he disappeared.

"Okay, people, pull back." Cyclops shouted his command. He shot at Riptide and ran for the door. "Come on, people, move it."
