I was more nervous than I had ever been in my life. Everything depended on what happened in these next few seconds. If I screwed up, we were as good as yeerked.

Kneeling on the stone floor, I tilted my head to the side. Iniss 762 wiggled out of my head and ran into the clay. It pushed the clay out of the way so that it fell into the pool with a plop. I was immediately grabbed and Iniss 762 fell onto hard stone.

Cassie, who was behind me, stepped on it. Being sure not to attract a lot of attention I struggled like every other one who was freed. Now I had to do the important part. In order for us to escape I had to use my power to open the barrier that locked up the ones who were free.

I attempted to push down the switch that would open the barrier. Cassie was behind me and was stalling. Yet I was near exhaustion and although I tried, I could not flick the switch.

I felt Tobias’ presence in the room before I saw him. My eyes flew open as I thought Oh My God. Tobias is here! I felt as if I had been punched in the gut. I needed Tobias and he knew it, but if Visser 3 saw him he was as good as lunched.

I should have known to trust Tobias by now, he opened the gates of the imprisonment and hundreds of people ran to the door. Again blending in with everyone else, I ran out with Jake and the others right behind me.

(Tobias get out of here!) I yelled in thought-speech. He didn’t need to be told twice.

My vision snapped to Visser 3. Again with pain I saw that he had seen Tobias, and was about to shout an order of death.

With newfound strength I threw Visser 3 into the yeerk pool using my mind.

“You can throw an Andalite but you can’t flick a switch?” Marco said raising an eyebrow. I made a face at him; this really wasn’t a good time.

“Come on we gotta get out of here.” I said. We ran towards the exit with hundreds of others.

I felt sick, it was closing. I noticed that the others had escaped. Frantically glancing around I noticed Visser 3 was just coming out of the pool and looked ticked. Marco grabbed my arm and motioned to a small concealment in the rock.

I tool the hint; we quickly changed into skunks and slipped through the bars.

When we were finally out of that place I whispered a “thank you” to everyone and fainted. It didn’t hurt when I hit the ground.
