With just a simple crush
But then she stole my heart
And she stole my mind
I pledged that I would love her
Until the end of time
And she never tried to trick me
She said it wasn't there
But something in me didn't believe her
My heart didn't care
And finally one day
She said she might love me
In a poem or two
But sadly she didn't really
Have those feelings there
She was searching for something right
Her boyfriend didn't care
And from that moment forward
I felt I could never get enough
I just had to have her
I loved her with every breath
And finally she had to hurt me
To show me that she cared
She had to break me
So my love wasn't there
And I won't say it didn't hurt me
I cried myself to sleep
Every night for weeks
And I still loved her
With this pain deep inside
Till finally I realized I meant nothing
And that's how I survivied
I couldn't be something
Until I was nothing
Couldn't fell anything
Until I knew
I didn't mean a thing
Now I am whole
Now I am me
Now I am something
Now I am free
