Desmond Doomsday: "Christmas time in Gotham City. A festive time for all
. . . but what's this? Reindeer? in Gotham City?"
Rudolph: "Ho, ho, ho! I'll show this town. They think reindeers only work for Santa Claus. Who would suspect old Rudolph of being red-handed? Okay, boys. Here's the plan. We'll rob every toy store in town. We'll go down in history.!"
Commissioner
Gordon: "I'm glad you arrived, Batgirl. I hate calling you out like this, but
when Batman and Robin asked for the Christmas weekend off, I didn't have the
heart to turn them down."
Batgirl: "That's all right, Commissioner Gordon. I understand. Crime never takes a holiday."
Chief O'Hara: "Begorra, if that's not the truth! Imagine, some low-down fiend dressed in a reindeer costume stealing from toy stores. It's diabolical."
Batgirl: "Do you have any leads?"
Commissioner Gordon: "Why, yes, as a matter of fact we do. The FBI has an undercover agent working on this case. All we know is that her code name is 'Dream Sickle.' In fact, she's due to call in any minute now."
Rudolph: "Ah, my precious Candy Kane and Dream Sickle. We've had a pleasant afternoon's work."
Kane: "Toys? What about the real cool stuff?"
Sickle: "Yeah, we were expecting diamonds."
Rudolph pulls out some diamond necklaces.
Rudolph: "Ask, and ye shall receive, as all good little girls do . . . and now, ho, ho, ho! off to my workshop. There's more thefts to plan."
Sickle: "You go ahead, Rudy. I'm feeling a chill. I'll be in my room."
After Sickle leaves . . .
Kane: "That's odd. Have you noticed how every time you come back from a job, Dream Sickle gets a cold? I have a funny feeling about her."
Rudolph: "Jealous, are you my dear? Or is your woman's intuition kicking in?"
Kane: "There's just something about her. I know that your friend The Penguin
gave her a high recommendation, but . . .
"If you don't mind, I'll just
follow little Dream Sickle and see what she's up to."
Rudolph: "As you wish, my sweet.
"Come, Holly, Mistletoe, Frosty, and
Snowflake. We have to make our Christmas list! Ho, ho, ho!"
Dream Sickle goes to her room, and checks to make sure nobody is around. She then calls Commissioner Gordon.
Sickle: "Hello, Commissioner Gordon? This is Dream Sickle. Rudolph and his gang pulled the toy store jobs. Right now they're planning-"
At that moment Kane applies a sleeper hold on Dream Sickle. Candy picks up the telephone and coos...
Kane: "Sorry, your party has been put on ice. Bye now."
She hangs up.
Commissioner Gordon: "Agent Sickle, come in. Agent Sickle!
"We've been cut
off."
Batgirl: "More likely, she's been cut off. That settles it, Commissioner. Holiday or no holiday, I'm going to get Rudolph and his gang, and teach them what happens to bad boys and girls!"
After obtaining the address from the telephone company, Batgirl rides her Batgirlcycle through Gotham, heading towards a deserted ice cream factory on West Street. Once there, she uses her Bat-laser to cut the lock, and barges in. She walks around, and hears a sound like a rubber band being sprung. She ducks down as icicle-shaped knives fly through the air!
Batgirl: "Oh, they want to play rough, do they?"
Four male hoods rush into the room. Holly charges at Batgirl, but Batgirl does her Rockette kick, knocking her foe unconscious. Snowflake and Frosty charge her. Batgirl jumps in the air, and extending her legs, kicks both villains square on their jaws. Mistletoe picks up one of Penguin's umbrellas that was laying on a table and lunges at Batgirl. She kicks the umbrella out of his hand, and grabs it. She then rams it into Mistletoe's stomach, causing him to double over in pain. She then uppercuts him with the handle, and he falls down unconscious.
All of a sudden, the heroine feels a sharp pain in her neck, and falls down. Candy Kane has blown a knock-out icicle into Batgirl's exposed flesh.
Batgirl wakes up to find herself in a gooey vat of molasses, next to agent Dream Sickle.
Rudolph: "Ho, ho, ho! You've woke up just in time, my Dominoed Daredevil
Doll. In case you're wondering, you and that treacherous Dream Sickle are in a
fruit cake mixer. After all, what's a fruitcake without nuts? and you must be
nuts to think you could stop me!
". . . but don't fret, my pets. Once the
mixture covers you up, I'll send you to Commissioner Gordon as a Christmas gift!
Ho, ho, ho! Snowflake! Turn on the mixer!"
Batgirl and Dream Sickle are spinning around wildly, as the molasses threatens to drown them. Just then, a police siren sounds.
Rudolph: "The police!? Quickly, men. We've got to get out of here!"
Candy Kane remains behind. Surprisingly she turns off the mixer and frees Batgirl . . . and then turns the mixer back on!
Kane: " I've always wanted to challenge you to a duel . . . you and your
Batgirl Halloween goody-two shoes! I'll show you that the forces of winter will
overcome the forces of good.
"Hiiii yahh!"
Candy Kane poses in a karate stance. Batgirl does likewise. Candy Kane kicks out with her right leg towards Batgirl's knee. Batgirl jumps out of the way, and drop-kicks Candy Kane to the ground. Batgirl falls on Kane, pinning Kane's shoulders with her knees. Kane keeps struggling, so Batgirl takes out her Bat-Sleep spray and sprays the contents into Kane's face. As Kane ceases struggling, and falls into a dreamless sleep, Batgirl purrs . . .
Batgirl: "Go to sleep, my thieving friend."
Batgirl shuts down the mixer and releases Dream Sickle. With the help of the police, the two of them quickly round-up Rudolph and his men.
