General Martok's ship, the Rotarran, picks up Sisko and crew from the planet surface. She docks at Deep Space Nine with her complement of new recruits, among them Worf's son, Alexander. While exchanging angry words with his father on the bridge of the Klingon vessel, a Jem'Hadar ship launches a ferocious attack, damaging the ship's sensor panels. Alexander volunteers for the deadly task of sealing a plasma leak, which he successfully completes, and contributes to the destruction of the Jem'Hadar ship. Tora Ziyal, who'd relocated on Bajor under the protection of Major Kira and associates, comes aboard Terok Nor to visit her father. |

Favor the Bold
Gul Damar's field tests for destroying the minefield are successful; the mines lining the entrance to the wormhole will soon come down. Sacrifice of Angels
Kira and Rom are too late to stop the minefield coming down, and everyone watches with blank expressionless faces as the thousands of Jem'Hadar ships sail through the wormhole. The Prophets, however, intervene for their Emissary, but there will be a heavy price to pay afterwards. The Federation retake Deep Space Nine as the Dominion withdraws to Cardassian space, having lost all the reinforcements they counted on. Gul Dukat lost everything in this battle and the war continues. |

Statistical Probabilities
Four "Mutants" who had come aboard the station to meet with Dr. Bashir make predictions to the effect that the Federation will lose the war, 900 billion people will die, and the Dominion will rule the Quadrant for 500 years before a new, stronger Federation resurfaces. (Author's Note: Hari Sheldon's Psychohistory?) Meanwhile, Weyoun and Damar attempt to get some Ketracel White for their Jem'Hadar troops, their main supply depot having been destroyed by Sisko the last time around. |

Waltz
Dukat is being transported to a Federation hearing as the prisoner of Sisko. A Cardassian vessel attacks and destroys the ship but Dukat and Sisko manage to escape in a shuttle, which was damaged in the attack. On the planet surface, Dukat declares that he will destroy Bajor and every Bajoran on it. After a scuffle with the already injured Sisko, Dukat escapes on the shuttle. The nearby Defiant, whose crew is anxiously searching for the Captain, receives Dukat's signal indicating Sisko's whereabouts, and rescues him in time.

Change of Heart
A Cardassian operative with sensitive information about the Dominion, in particular of the Founders' location, plans to defect to the Federation. Worf and Dax are assigned to a rendezvous mission to pick him up in the Bad Lands, a dangerous territory deep within Dominion space. However, on the planet surface, Dax is injured by a Jem'Hadar phaser blast and her condition deteriorates rapidly. Though urged on by Dax, Worf chose to abort the mission rather than leave his wife behind. The Cardassian informant dies as a result, along with the valuable information which might have saved millions.

Inquisition
Dr. Bashir is taken into custody by Starfleet security pending a hearing in which he is accused of being a Dominion spy. When Sloan questioned Bashir, he fires several questions about Bashir's time in Internment Camp 371, and casts up the history of the doctor again, citing his repeated lies concerning his genetic status. At this point, only Sisko firmly believes the doctor is not a spy. Bashir is set up to look like a Dominion spy, but in the end saw through the charade. At that moment, he found himself looking at the grids of the holosuite and Sloan comes out to reveal the truth. Sloan is the leader of a secret intelligence agency within the Federation. They were unsure of Bashir and had done this to prove or disprove their suspicions.

In the Pale Moonlight
The casualties of war are mounting everyday and Sisko, sickened by the enormous loss of life, fervently believes he must involve the Romulans in the war effort in whatever way possible. The Romulans had signed a nonaggression pact with the Dominion, and has no intention of pitting themselves against the Dominion, but they send Senator Vreenak, signer of the pact, to see what Captain Sisko has to say. When Vreenak's ship explodes due to sabotage, the Romulans declare war on the Dominion based on the evidence found in the debris. Only Sisko and Garak know the truth of the matter. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." -Sisko

The Valiant
Jake and Nog are trapped behind enemy lines when they are beamed aboard the U.S.S. Valiant, a Defiant-Class warship akin to the Defiant. Reportedly missing for months, the Valiant is now commandeered by the Starfleet Academy cadets that were on-board for training. Their mentors were all killed during an unexpected Jem'Hadar attack, but the new Captain of the Valiant refused to return with their mission unaccomplished. He overestimates his abilities and the ability of the Defiant against a super-sized Jem'Hadar ship and everyone save Nog, Jake, and a girl dies as a consequence.

Tears of the Prophets
Starfleet Command decides to take the offensive in the war against the Dominion, and Sisko is chosen to lead the invasion of Cardassia. The first target is the Chin'toka System, picked for its diminished defenses.
Unfortunately, the crew is unaware that the Cardassian/Dominion Alliance has secretly deployed hundreds of orbital weapon platforms to protect (that) system, and that Gul Dukat has returned claiming he has the key to destroying Sisko and the Federation. Dukat is possessed by the Pagh-Wraith known as Cutamojian just as Jadzia walks in, the Dukat/Cutamojian entity kills her and then takes control of Deep Space Nine.

Image in the Sand
Three months after a Dukat killed Jadzia Dax and sealed the wormhole, day-to-day life on Deep Space Nine has changed. Kira, newly promoted to Colonel and the acting commander, is informed of the disturbing news that the Romulans will set up a station office. Sisko has by then retreated to Earth and tries to find a way to contact the Bajoran Prophets.

Treachery, Faith, and the Great River
Odo is lured to a secret meeting site, where he finds himself face to face with Weyoun. Weyoun announces that he's decided to defect and, in exchange for asylum, promises to provide valuable information that could help the Federation win the war. After the two board Odo's runabout, the ship is hailed by the Cardassians. Odo is stunned when the monitor displays Weyoun standing beside Damar. Weyoun #6 and #7 are coexisting in the same time-frame, something that will not last for long. The Dominion cloned #7 and programmed #6 to self-destruct as punishment for its failures during the war.

Penumbra
The Founders are working on a vaccine for the sickness permeating the Great Link. The Dominion's new Ketracel White facility has been uncovered by the Federation and the Federation pulled the sixth fleet from Bolian territory. Dukat has surgically altered himself to look like a Bajoran, while Ezri and Worf are taken by Breens.

Strange Bedfellows
The Breen have officially joined the Dominion. Legate Damar is very unhappy with the treaty which will relinguish Cardassian territory to the Breen and even more so with the 500,000 men sacrificed.

The Changing Face of Evil
The Breens launched a devastating attach on Starfleet headquarters. Starfleet was able to destroy most of the Breen ships, but sustained heavy damages. Damar is planning an offensive against the Dominion while Kai Winn is studying banned "dark" ancient text about the Pagh Wraiths. The Breen swoops through the Alpha Quadrant with devastating energy-dissipator technology which, with one direct hit, drains all power. They took out the Chintaka System and destroyed the Defiant (May she rest in peace). Kai Winn killed her long-time faithful servant Solbor. Damar launched a strike against the cloning facility of the Dominion after deploying the 1st, 3rd, and 9th Order to resist the Dominion.

When It Rains
311 ships -- Klingon, Romulan, and Federation -- have been disabled by the Breen energy dissipator weapons. 1200 Klingon ships are the only line of defense against the Dominion. The Katang survived relatively unscathed in the otherwise catastrophic defeat at the Chintaka System because of minor modifications made by its chief engineer and all Klingon ships are ordered to follow suit. Still, the Klingons are still outnumbered 20:1 by Dominion ships. Meanwhile, Legate Damar's Cardassian Rebellion Front are in hiding in the planet of Rondack and Kira is sent to teach them how to become resistance fighters. She has not cared for Damar ever since Ziyal's death at his hands and is even less pleased that she needs to enlist Garak's services. On the station, Martok is sent to the front lines by Gowron after being awarded the Star of Kahless and relieved of his position as commander of Klingon forces.
