Avengers Member!

issue: Avengers, vol 1 #16

When most of the original Avengers quit Captain America found his Avengers team shorthanded. So he decided to seek some replacement members. At this time, Hawkeye broke into the mansion hoping to join the team. Hawkeye was quickly excepted as a new member of the Avengers! He was soon followed by Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch (two mutants who were once criminals like Hawkeye). This new team led by Captain America was nicknamed 'the Kooky Quartet'!

Hawkeye Ties the Knot!

issue: Hawkeye Limited Series #1-4

Having left the Avengers, Hawkeye took up a job as a security chief at Cross Tech Enterprises (mechanics company). A former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D known as Mockingbird broke into the factory and was determined to stop it. She told Hawkeye that there was something dangerous and illegal going on there. Soon both heroes were pitted against Cross Tech and Crossfire, who was paying the company to make his illegal Undertaker machinery. In the end, Hawk and Mock were victorious, and the two realized that they had fallen for each other. Clint and Bobbi were married soon after. The two returned to the Avengers mansion.

Team Leader!

Having been a member of the Avengers for a long time, Hawkeye decides that it is time to found a new team and become leader. With the help of his new wife, Mockingbird, Clint forms the Avengers West Coast, which is stationed on the eastern seaboard. Hawkeye emloyes Iron Man, Moon Knight, Wonderman, Tigra, Dr Pym (the original Antman and Giantman)and Mockingbird as members. The team is a success, proving that Hawkeye has what it takes to be a true leader.

Hawkeye vs. The Abomination!

issue: Solo Avengers Starring Hawkeye #12

The Abomination (a longtime rival of the Hulk) brakes his way into the Avengers West Coast Mansion looking to challenge Wonder Man to a fight. Unfotunetly, none of the other Avengers are not present, except for Hawkeye! Having recently seperated with his wife, Hawkeye is in no mood to battle. Hawkeye demands the villian to leave. The Abomination attacks Hawkeye and the two of them go one-on-one! Hawkeye fires almost every trick arrow in his quiver in an attempt to put the Abomination down, but to no avail. But Hawkeye finally manages to defeat the Abomination by tricking him into picking up an adamantium electro arrow which electrocutes the villian!

Hawkeye Saves the Universe!

The outworldly villan known as the Grandmaster, whose lives for the risk and challange of games and gambling, captures the entity known as Death. Using Death's power of control over life or death, Grandmaster contructs five bombs that will end existence and create a new world designed by him. He pits the Avengers against an army of the dead, telling them that if they are victorious he will diffuse the bombs. Earth's Mightest Heroes all fall to the army until only Hawkeye and Captain America are left standing. However, the scheming Grandmaster has plans to have the two heroes face the entire army resurrected. Realizing that he and Captain America have no chance against so many powerful opponents and the Grandmaster's crazy rules, Hawkeye proposes a new game to the Grandmaster: a simple game of chance. Two arrows, one with an modular arrowhead he attached onto the tip. He holds one in each hand, concealing the tip, and dares the Grandmaster to choose an arrow: If the chooses the one with the arrowhead, he is the victor and can detonate the bombs. But if he chooses incorrectly, the heroes win. Being true to form The Grandmaster is unable to resist the temptation and choices an arrow from Hawkeye's outstreched hand. The Grandmaster shocked as he stares at the tipless arrow and realizes the he has lost! Due to the Grandmaster's distraction, Death is able to free herself, disposing of the Grandmaster. Captain American asks Hawkeye, "What would you have done if he had choosen the other arrow?" Hawkeye opens the fist which had held the arrow the Grandmaster selected and reveals the arrowhead! "You just gotta make your own luck!" he response. He had snapped the detachable arrow head off the arrow as the Grandmaster picked it. "You cheated?!?" exclaims Captain America. Out of thankfulness to Hawkeye, Death returns the Avengers back to normal life on Earth.
