The Rose of Anagea- Prologue

******On a planet in the future, in the Time of the Second Sun, there existed a continent called Baranixia. This continent was not as advanced as the first Earth when it was consumed by its own Sun because this planet was slightly different. It had the "same" Sun, and the "same" atmosphere, but the elements from Old Earth were absent in the makeup of this new planet. So this planet was as Old Earth was in its early years.
On this continent of Baranixia there were five countries: Anagea, Repetwinia, Renoxia, Penia, and the uncharted Western Country. All of these countries, excluding the latter, possessed its own race of people.
In the North, Anagea, the people were telepathic, meaning they could demonstrate extraordinary psychic phenomina. Among this race, there were four different groups: Protectors, Ecclipsers, Travelers, and Shifters. Protectors, the most powerful, possessed the ability to surround themselves and others in a shield of pure energy. They could also lift objects physically with only their mind. Ecclipsers were those that could produce a hefty amount of energy with their voices. This energy came out as a scream and could hurt everything around it. Travellers could, with the use of only their minds, go from place to place by a process called teleportation. Shifters had the ability to change their shape physically to whatever was in their minds.
In the East were the Repetwinians. This race was composed of identical twins. Rarely did you see a Repetwiner without his other half. That was a freak of nature, not to have a twin. What was strange about the Repetwinians was that if one of the twins felt a certain emotion or pain, the other twin would feel it too. If one twin died, the other did also even if they were healthy. Repetwiners also had strange eyes. Some said they were "ever-changing" because whatever mood the Repetwiner wasin, his eye color would correspond with that emotion. For instance, blue was happiness and black was pure anger.
In the South were the Penians. These people had no special gifts and were mainly like the humans of Old Earth. They mostly lived in a city just off the Penian Sea called the Great City. This city had housed some of the most famous leaders from Baranixia from every race.
In the West was the uncharted country. No one dared to explore it. Its dense forests were full of Baranix dragons. These dragons were the dealiest creatures ever known in all time. most animals have an instinct to hunt for the food they need to survive, but Baranix hunted for the shear pleasure of the kill. They knew the pain they were causing and they relished in the thought of torturing and killing innocent creatures. Baranix killed simply with their saliva. Once even the tiniest drop landed on an animal, they would die. A Baranix's saliva could bore a hole through the trunk of a tree. The saliva contained a sort of acid that could kill on contact. Baranix were mainly a brownish color and had tiny wings even though they could never fly. That's what Moxenian dragons were for. Moxenian dragons were also believed to live in the Western Country, but mainly along the coast of the Western Sea. They were extremely rare, but some people in Baranixia were lucky enough to actually own one. Moxenians were docile and excellent telepaths. They were very intelligent creatures and could adapt to any language so that they could communicate with their master. Moxenians had giant wings and were mainly silver and gold. They truly looked like their disposition. In the Central Country were the Renoxians. They had the ability to see into the past, even as far back as the beginning of Old Earth. The Renoxians lived like the monks of Old Earth and were often teachers in all the other countries. Renoxians had a life span of close to a millenium, but most lived only until their eight hundredth year. The Renoxians were a very wise race and often ruled great cities such as the Great City in Penia, Cadala in Repetwinia, and Senka in Renoxia. Only Ania in the North was ruled by Anageans. For centuries, Baranixia and its races had prospered. There had been an occasional dispute, but that was to be expected. It wasn't until the Baranix dragons began to appear that Baranixia began to fall apart. The Baranix dragons pruged the great continent, sometimes wiping out whole villages, but they never touched the great cities...until finally they gave in to their bloodlust and attacked the greatest city in Anagea, the Norther Country,...Ania.
