*Hiding out in Carter Gillespie's quarters, FO Miranda Sands and CSO
Mercedes McCarter are soon joined by aCSO Chandler T'krn-McCarter.
Surprised that one of the newlyweds would have returned to the ship so
soon, Mercedes asks what's up and Chandler answers that the groom is
handcuffed to their bed for earlier misbehaviour (i.e. pushing her into
the water). Mercedes takes the opportunity to ask if Chandler will help
her with a surprise party for her brother, Chandler's husband. After
agreeing, Chandler smiles inwardly at the fact that she is now helping
both Yossarian and Mercedes plan a surprise party for the other. CSciO
Jur Lehron is the next person to invite themselves in, having had a
nightmare that Miranda was gone only to wake up and find that she really
was absent.
Next, Carter finally returns to his own quarters to find a party
starting there without him. People ontinue to join the gathering until
sudden spine-tingles cause Miranda and Mercedes to imultaneously ask the
computer where the doctor is. When the computer rats on the CMO's
tealthy approach, Carter's quarters are efficiently evacuated and the
party reconvenes emporarily in the corridor while Mercedes invites CNS
Logaan Woods along. They then ontinue their romp until shortly before
their shifts are supposed to begin the next morning.
That morning sees the awakenings of CO Judah Gibbons and FCO Tom Slater
as well as the nsomniacs' failure to go to sleep at all. Having been
snatched from the very jaws of death from is impersonator's attack,
Slater immediately heads down to the brig for a rematch. The captain
is disturbed from his temporary command post in the Sickbay ward by the
ruckus in Security and hen the two Toms each tell him to arrest the
other, he simply has Security seize them both. A imple inspection of the
molars (one of which is known to be present in one Tom and absent in
the other) reveals who is the fake and the impostor is chucked back in
his cell and the real Tom s returned to Sickbay.

CMO Bill Patton experiences the emotional aftermath of their recent
mission, and goes to his ssistant T'Salek for some comfort.
Passing through the wormhole, the Horizon somehow ends up in another
timeline. As the crew oon discovers, the Romulans have formed a secret
alliance with the Dominion, the Breen and he Tholians. Apart from a few
ships around Andoria, the Cocoon holds the last of the
Federation. As the highest ranking officer remaining, Cmdr. Canon from
the Nightingale greets he crew upon their arrival at OP108. Captains
Tergin (Horizon), Alderbrite (Mauritania) and iak (former Hudson) join
him at a 'chiefs of staff' meeting, where Cmdrs. Halifax (Hermes),
Gibbons (Hamilton) and Marevic (Dakota) are also present. The eighth
person present is Q, who laims to have nothing to do with the situation.
On the contrary, he continues, the Romulans ave cut a deal with the Q's
enemies, who have destroyed the entire race but him. After a riefing on
the situation, the chiefs of staff come up with defence and counter-stri
ke plans. Tergin akes these back to the Horizon, where the senior staff
agrees the Federation will have to fight ack dirty to win the war. As
the crew starts making forbidden subspace and biogenic weapons,
FO Leyson Ayden privately addresses OPS Blaze Starsinger. Without
involving Tergin, they gree Blaze will go on a probable suicide mission
to install viruses in the Romulan computers. hen the CO hears about
this, he is outraged at Ayden, but decides to delay the punishment
until after the war.
About an hour from OP108, the heavily damaged USS Heracles (commanded by
the Horizon's ormer OPS, Lt. Cady) is speeding home with a Romulan fleet
37 hours behind them. Thirty inutes behind the Heracles, LtCmdr. Joshua
Ryan (former CEO USS John Glenn) tries to fight ff two Romulan scouts.
Cady brings Ryan aboard against his wishes, and continues towards OP108.
pon their arrival, Captain Diak takes over command of the Heracles. More
help is on the way or the Federation in the form of the severely damaged
USS Yorktown, which isn't able to stay head of the enemy ships. The aCO
decides to go 'dead in the water', hoping the enemy will gnore them.
On the covert-ops vessel USS Integrity, Captain Tino and FO Davies
decide to disobey their rders and come out into the open to help win the
war. On their way to OP108, they come cross a Wraith class fighter.
Aboard, and about to be toasted by three Romulan warbirds, are Ensigns
Abstentrion Morit and Ian and Jouri Hollander (CMO, CSO and astCSO USS
Athene). The ntegrity beams them over, takes care of the Romulan ships,
and sneaks past the entire enemy nvasion fleet.
Emotions begin to flow as Blaze writes a goodbye message for his lover,
CSciO Melody Cuen is eunited with her father, Q, and Patton is reunited
with his wife Shania, who has long been dead n his own timeline. With
the help of the Nightingale's staff and facilities, work is started on
he bio weapons. Later that day, Bill wonders if he can leave Shania
again when it's time to eturn to his own timeline. Back on the Horizon,
CSO James Mauler receives a coded message rom someone who says to be his
father. He calls Cmdr. Ayden, as the FO is the only one who
can decode the information.
After comparing the temporal scans of Melody, Bordak and Q, it turns out
that Bordak is ctually from the current timeline. Engineer Griff informs
the captain about the project Bordaq who is also in this timeline, but
belongs in another one) left the Horizon for: the USS Infinity, a
top-secret powerful ship. He assumes it's on its way to the Cocoon. In
the Ship's Edge, Arkanis onfronts Bordak about his counterpart and
advices him to live his own life. The aCEO takes the OO up on his
invitation to join him on the holodeck for a pre-war workout. FCO Phryn
is
working in the shuttle bay, as is Ensign Drell. Suddenly, Phryn realizes
he'd heard the name rell before he came aboard the Horizon, but he can't
figure out when or where.

Repairs are completed and the HIKARU proceeds on it's mission. Poynton
completes treatment f Tuvur's injuries and shortly thereafter the CEO
awakens. Ignoring doctor's orders to take it asy for a day or two,
Tuvur leaves Sickbay.
Aboard the Yawetag vessel, THREE RIVERS, trapped inside the cavern,
Htide feels the resence of the 'Instrument' coming closer...to help him
find the Sphere. The HIKARU picks up ignals from THREE RIVERS' distress
beacon and makes contact with the commander of the awetag vessel,
Captain Opal. Soon arrangements are made for HIKARU to send over some
edical staff and supplies to aid the THREE RIVERS' crew in treating
their injuries.

This week, Paly'n, onboard the Nightingale, discovers that the impostors
that have replaced the sis are clones of some sort, and he, ahem,
questions one of them as to the real psis' hereabouts. Planetside,
Stuart does some sneaking about with Mrell. Upon returning to cCuen's
report of events on the ship, he leaves Ens Thayer in charge and
returns to the ightingale with Mrell in tow. He arrives to find that
Paly'n has discovered the psis to be held in military prison camp on
the planet.
In addition, Kel, who had finally located and uncovered the mysterious
array, manages to escape he station's weapons and reports that the
array was used to clone the Praq, who are actually a pecies unto
themselves that cannot reproduce in any other manner. The process,
however, orks only on psis. Along these lines, Mrell has discovered
that the Praq have been at this "clone 'n' conquer" process with
various species. The Helnai, however, were a species with the ower to
change form, so the Praq were very successful in their endeavors to
clone them. Being f a dual nature (offensive and defensive), the Helnai
went through several genetic mutations nd encountered social strife as
a consequence. The Praq then arrived and began to take over, and many
of the Helnai rebelled.
Back at the negotiations, Thayer discovers that the away team has, in
truth, been negotiating ith the Praq posing as Helnai, as true Helnai
break forcibly into the meeting. Having bugged he away team, Stuart
secretly discovers this action and sets a plan into action. The away
team
has now been taken hostage by Helnai who want to use the Nightingale
and her crew for their wn purposes.
As soon as he can, Stuart manages to beam all the present Helnai and
Praq onto the Nightingale, nto custody. The away team is also beamed
over, but not before the Helnai leader fires on hem, grievously
wounding Kennala, who took a phaser blast for a fellow crewman. Paly'n
and is team work feverishly to save her life and do so. It's only as
Stuart comes to sickbay to tell McCuen about the location of the array
and a plan to send a team to rescue the captive psis does e discover
the extent of the damage, as the murderously wrathful doctor tells him
that Kennala, aly'n's love, is hopelessly paralyzed.

Na'stiu and Juun relations continue to be tense without progress from
assigned diplomatic teams.
Activity has been reported in the Holack sector, despite the Veil's
blockage of subspace
communication. The USS HERMES has been sent to investigate.
Reports of Talonid invasion into the Cocoon have been determined to be
false.
The USS JOHN GLENN has reportedly found debris from the destruction of
the USS
COCHRANE. Search for survivors continues, but none have been found at
this time.

OP 108 activity has begun increasing with the completion of the orbital
docking platform.
Construction has begun on several new ships at the newly contstructed
shipyards there. In
addition, the Andromeda wormhole has shown no signs of unusual behavior
in recent months,
causing a return of commerce to the area.
Peaceful cooperation with races in the Amgine Sector continue to
increase in the aftermath of
the Noo'Ach Peace and Trade Conference.
Terrorist attacks continue to plague Starfleet ships in the Andromeda
Galaxy. Purist terrorist
cells, devoted to ridding Andromeda of all Federation presence, have
jeopardized the entrance of
Trasior into the Federation. Negotiators on Trasior report that the
Trasien council is considering
withdrawing their application for membership, while various attacks and
disappearances are
being investigated both by Trasien Security and by Starfleet.

Recent troop movements along Cardassia's border with Breen space has
sparked some interest in
the Union's possible plans. With relations still cold from the war, no
official inquiries have been
made, and no investigation is planned.
Betazoid Council chairman Beyard Mali and Alpha Centauran Council
chairwoman Vhesha
P'Nehbuddar have announced plans to begin a massive cultural exchange
between their two
peoples, including cultural centers on each of the two race's home
planets. The cultural centers
will be primarily devoted to exploration of similarities between the two
cultures and will include
expositions on the theoretical genetic links between Alpha Centaurans
and Betazoids.
Three suspected members of the Orion Syndicate were indicted today at a
Federation Council
hearing. Although the Orion Syndicate has been careful in the past to
remain outside of
Federation jurisdiction, the recent acceptance of Vermanda III into the
UFP has expanded
StarFleet presence into a previously unmoderated area, heavily used by
Syndicate trafficking.
StarFleet expects no retaliation, but also no more arrests, as the
Syndicate has most likely
changed their operations routes.
