When CNS Logaan Woods went to pick up CSO Mercedes McCarter for his
"apology dinner" to her, a stranger answers the door. Mercedes'
holographic friend Hawkeye (the strange doorman) apologizes for
Mercedes' having fallen asleep and their chatter awakens their topic of
discussion. At the door, she asks for 15 minutes to get ready and Logaan
takes the opportunity to excuse himself and replicate some Chinese food
in his quarters. Mercedes arrives, dressed in an outfit that would knock
out the male population of a starbase, apologizing for her informal
attire when she sees him in a regulation pressed uniform. He protests
that she looks great and asks if she is ready to eat. As he retrieves
the food, he asks the computer to adjust the temperature down 4 degrees
C, as he feels it has suddenly become warmer. They begin eating in
companionable silence, but their hearts leap to their throats when their
hands brush, reaching for the Wontons. Logaan tries to ease the moment
by giving her his "official" apology then complimenting her dress. At
her smile, he asks if CO Judah Gibbons never complimented her at which
point it is her turn to be uncomfortable. She changes the subject to
Logaan's adoptedsister, Sarah, by asking how she is doing. The sudden
draining of all expression from his face prompts her to stand, take a
step toward the door, and suggest that she should leave. He begs her to
stay in such a tormented, desperate tone, that she is compelled to ask
what is wrong. He admits to needing a friend desperately because his
sister is in such bad condition. Barely even beginning to explain, he
breaks down in great heaving sobs and she rushes to hold him, letting
him cry himself out while she sings to him. When he falls asleep, she is
trapped in his bear-hug and simply shifts a bit before falling asleep as
well.

usual, both physically and mentally. Professor Chosky tests his
containment field with no regard for the ship's safety, angering Captain
Burke.
The next day, the Horizon arrives in the binary Jerjoye system.

With the deaths of the Sehimlaeti in the Brig, Capt Alyza begins a
process of elimination to find those who could have caused the power
outage in the Brig.
The Sperian prisoners, Roun and Tolw, take control of the shuttle before
it is able to dock with DS 101. Unfortunately they were unable to abort
the docking and the station's tractor beams guided the shuttle into the
docking bay. Fischer, Roberts, Goose, and Chief Smallwood are pushed out
of the shuttle at gunpoint. A hostage situation now exists in the
docking bay.

Alex Thayer is stripped off all but underwear,held by two guards, which
in turn she starts to question, and learns Dr Eustis is only leader in
name, but Councilwoman Chin's the real leader. Then she is confronted
with another woman, with her looks and her uniform on! It's a Gene
Shifting Infiltrator.
After being rejoined with Cmdr Stuart, Ma'kauran is very suspicious at
first, keeping in mind the Cmdr could be a replacement. After a while
they're being relocated to another solitairy building, where eventually
the whole awayteam (AT) is brought together, except off course Ens
MacKinnley and the real Lt Thayer.
Once together Ens Dalob briefs the group off his scan results, reveiling
traces of a Klingon nerve gas and a Terran adrenalin stimulant in Dr
Eustis' blood. The weapons used also point in the Klingon direction,
which in no way inplies Klingon involvement. The awayteam at first
thinks they are without any scanning means, but have not thought about
Dalob, the Android, who makes a nice scanner and discovers a window,
large enough to use it to escape.
The team that 'caught' Ens Mackinnley contacts the 'Gale, demanding a
meeting to 'discuss the illegal expermentations taking place inside the
Gelbarten Dome' claiming they have the 'Commanding Officer'. The
scanners on the 'Gale have located the away team, inspite off the
shielding by scanning for some rare metals used in Dalob. A Rescueteam
(RT) beams down 'to the rescue' and is joined by M'Rell. On their way to
AT, the RT is attacked by a party of 4, from which one survives the
attack, while one 'Galer is shot in the belly. Meanwhie the AT manages
to escape from their 'prison' disabeling their guards.
Liam comes to, and is introduced to his 'captors' who call him Cmdr
Canon. Liam corrects this error, 'cause his head's not cleared up yet.
Liam is then given the 'Readers Digest' version off Qun History, which
seemed to be 'discutable' to say the least, killing off nearly all
native life and
destroying the atmosphere, according to this briefing. Liam then
contacts Cmdr Canon, hears they are in danger and asks the 'Evols' for
help.
The AT arrives at a shipping platform fillid with class 6.1 goods
(bio-hazard). "Thayer" then leads them in the Evol's direction, being
closely watched by CW Chin on video. Then the pass a blocking metal
plate, disapear from the videosurveillance and contact the RT, to form
one big happy family....
They discuss all possibilities, and "Thayer" sais they could use a
communicator, stolen from the AT's guards to monitor the search, but in
stead uses it to create an open comlink to CW Chin, giving their
position away. But, several teammembers sense something's fishy, but
no-one seems to say it a-loud, or be able to put their finger on it
