OPS Ensign Mara Thull is a bit bewildered by CSO Mercedes McCarter's
reaction to killing the holographic Borg. Afterall, not only were they
Borg, one of the races easiest to justify using deadly force against,
but they were holograms as well. Her Vulcan side reined in her Klingon
side, though, hypothesizing some youthful trauma stirred up by
associations with sights and sounds incorporated into the workout
program. Thull lets the thought simmer in the back of her mind while she
checks on the various systems' supply/demand ratios and tries to work
out expected load ranges for each. Attempting to predict what will be
neccessary in order to meet the needs almost before those resources are
called upon was a job impossible to get to 100%. The future refused to
be pinned down until it was the present and sometimes it was slippery
even then. 100% would be an even longer shot, though, if she didn't even
try.

Thanks to CMO Electra Threin's good care and her telepathic abilities
over Ad'am, Cady will live. H'llstam returns with the second part of the
original away team, so everyone's in the Pri-Sat's medbay now. Ad'am
realizes the people he's with aren't hostile and he offers his help in
getting Cady to the Horizon. There's one craft they can use, but it only
has room for Threin, Cady and a pilot. Although Ad'am insists that he
pilot the vessel, aFO Bordaq doesn't want him to. H'llstam will pilot it
instead, because she's already learned the workings of the Joyan
computer system. When she demonstrates her knowledge of the Joyan
language, she scares Ad'am into believing they're some kind of demons
and he rans off. Meanwhile, Ad'am's companions Tro'jan and Di'ana
ponder their next move.
Back on the ship, CSciO Abi Seldon's plan works. The alien device is
removed from the deflector dish and beamed aboard for further study.

Stryker, infected with a further mutated version of the virus, dies in
Sickbay. Goose moves temporarily to Operations. The virus is finally
under control, thanks to a vaccine. Repairs on the COACH KING
continue. The injured Furonian, LaFon, is transported by the Usari back
to DS 101, literally at Fischer's feet. Fischer takes LaFon to Sickbay.
Roberts and Tifflor complete their work aboard the COACH KING and return
to the station.
Communications between the Usari and the station improve through the use
of video 'show-and-tell'. The Usari relate their story, which involves
damage to their homeworld caused by their star. The nine ships at DS
101, representing only a small fraction of their world's population,
left their doomed world. Their first stop was among the Vurtedion, who
rebuffed attempts at contact by destorying the Usari shuttles. After a
time, the Usari arrived at DS 101. They are seeking either a new home
for their people or help for their doomed homeworld.
Fischer makes preparations to move to the USS YEARGER as her CO. New
crew arrive. A Klingon/Betazoid Ensign named Korag Terias is the new
Chief Security Officer. Commander Thar Emond, the new First Officer.

USS NIGHTINGALE

Alex learns off the staff meeting when she enters her department, where
she gets a warm welcome. She then went to the holodeck for some
relaxation when Cannon walks in to help her with counseling and begins
to dig deeper into what had happened, what was asked, etcetera. Alex
then tells about how the Qun shot two prisoners to get answers,
threatening to kill a third, and after she answered kill the third after
all. After that she meets Mrell and thanks him, but also tell him she
don't trust him nor 216.
The new Fleet-XO demands a full detailed report which surprises Stuart
and Canon. Cmdr Canon has a little trouble with the MIA part off it.
Stuart writes an amenment to the report. They go over to the Swamp,
where Ma'Kauran joins them to talk to the CO. Stuart then leaves,
leaving the two alone. Ma'kauran wants to thank the captain for the
chance she got to prove the use off a SAR dept. She tells him about her
Burn-scar too.
Mrell confronts 216 with her past, being the creator off the S7 units,
but genetically enhanced and altered. Being shot brought bach her
appearance AND memories. 216, or Saerin Faral, decided she wants to stay
onboard and Mrell told he wants ask for asylum with her. They went to
see Canon and tell him the truth. He tells them he has to sleep on it.
Cmdr Canon prepares a test for Lt. Cmdr Stuart to see how Stuart will
respond if he becomes incapacitated. At least that is what he tells CSO
McKinnley. Canon just acts like he is not himself; calling the CSO,
Quoensal, and refusing Herbal tea from Kari.

USS YEAGER

The new Magellen class replacement for the USS Yeager is deemed ready
for active service, the command is offered to the current DS101 FO
LtCmdr Fischer along with a promotion to full commander.
As the ship sits at OMEGA, the new crew begins to board and settle in.
It is a strangely disparate group of individuals that will need to pull
together as a team, a Romulan aFO, an elf-like CSciO, and an apparently
neurotic CNS already await Fischer's arrival.
