Av'ern, the Caitian Ambassador, meets with the Juun politicians. Cmdr J
'eran, Lt Civ Ss, and Lt>jg> Vandenbergh accompany him. Fourth
Angir Net is also along as an observer. Meanwhile the CSO's
investigations lead them to a butcher shop in a Juun town. Multiple
investigative teams uncover rumors that there were other off-worlders
involved in unofficial operations on Juun. The feeling among the Juun
population is that the government is about to topple and various
off-world factions are preparing to make a power-play.

With still no word from Stuart the Usari evacuation progresses slowly.
Meanwhile on the moon four photon torpedoes suddenly disappear in thin
air. Just before the away team is attacked which leads to Mrell break a
jaw. After getting a painkiller Mrell begins planning, but before he
finishes. The team is beamed aboard the attacking shuttle and held at
gunpoint.

USS YEAGER

Ens Ya-Nar, OPS, and Qoensal don EVA suits and transport to the relay
station control room. They discover that the aft section of the station
is still pressurized. Once into the aft section they discover the dead
body of an unknown species. The body is transported to the YEAGER for
study and they set about restoring life support and power to the
station. They also search the section for any equipment left behind by
the unknown alien. Under a console they find an alien device 'growing'
from the console. The console is removed to the YEAGER for further
study. Also an alien scanning device is found. A particle trail,
perhaps left by the alien craft, is found and plans are made to follow
it.
On the saucer-section, Lt Boer launches probes toward the Gaia-1 relay
stations hoping to find out what happened to Fischer and his team.
These probes intersect a anomaly with takes one probe with it when it
disappears. The second probe continues toward Gaia-1.
