OPS D'Art Storm presents the latest intelligence reports at the staff
meeting. Two of the Corporate Houses constituting the Telmarc Trade Combine,
the House of Water and the House of Sky, officially opposed joint operations
with the Federation. As these two Houses control some large private military
forces, they could become a serious threat to Starfleet.
With hundreds of ships and stationary objects, it's busy in the Telmarc
system. The Horizon is allowed to enter the system and proceed to Telmarc
III. They receive a distress call from the Federation Ambassador's deputy,
saying a mob is attacking the consulate. The Horizon can't lock transporters
on the consulate's personnel because of some kind of particle field.
Meanwhile, aboard the USS Renegade, Jarek and Trinity Malaar miss their
friends on the Horizon. Jarek is still troubled by some of the things the
Narrator told him two years ago. In particular, he's afraid of losing
Trinity again. He also feels the Narrator is unable to write the story he
wants.

Zachary Hogan awakens in Sickbay after treatment for disrupter burns.
Handheld medical scanners had initially identified him as Romulan, but the
Sickbay scanners and further DNA tests proved him to be human. The medical
officer, Dr Ling, soon IDs him as a former CSO and FO of DS 101. Realizing
that Hogan was in disguise for some important reason, Dr Ling decides to
keep the information to herself. Hogan and Ling discuss the telepathic
attack which has disabled Hogan's friend, Vance.
Meanwhile, Dr Nelson completes a report of his recent activities. He is
visited by two 'associates' of the recently deceased Ferengi, Grind. They
inform the doctor that Grind had a disease called Quax-Jak Syndrome.
Perhaps that explained why Grind gave Nelson the box containing S.U.E.
Grind's associates are upset by this new revelation. They depart the
station with S.U.E.
Once back on their ship we learn that Grind's 'associates' are not really
Ferengi. Their purpose was to steal S.U.E. They attempt to re-set her
interface, since she had already imprinted on Dr Nelson, and plan to sell
her at auction. Unknown to the thieves, the S.U.E. is able to over-ride the
re-set.
FO Edmund, aboard the runabout ATLANTIS, is headed toward Dergrad Space in
pursuit of Angelo and Morgan. Soon the ATLANTIS is intercepted by two
Dergrad cruisers. Edmund uses the opportunity to take control of hte
runabout from Zubat and return to DS 101.
Alyza, Edmond, and Nanto settle things down on the station. However,
Ambassador Grayson reminds them that his assistant is still missing.
Dryden Hadon and Marta Azura continue their wedding plans.

The Yeager approaches SB Omega, and CO Fischer is getting ready for his
appointment with Admiral T'Selk; new orders are about to be issued.
Meanwhile, on the Yeager, the man responsible for the deletion of the
holo-reconstruction is dead; he apparently killed himself, but moments
before dying, he struck Ens. Mara Thull with a dart. Upon recovery, she
began looking for "Bragollach", a mysterious man of whom she is
profoundly enamoured.
Cadet Alexowitz starts his tour of the ship led by a security officer,
Ensign Wren Shea.
