LtCmdr. Arkanis and Lt Cady go to the holodeck for an extended workout.
Meanwhile, Ensign O'Leary analyses the flight tests. After presenting her
report to Captain Burke, she goes to the holodeck and tries to climb a rock
wall she's already failed ten times. She fails again.
In sickbay, Dr. Rademach addresses his staff, which is much larger than on
the old Horizon. One of the new people is Dr. Isabella Escamilla, who will
be in charge of the administrative side of sickbay.
After training on the holodeck, Lt. Einicrox and two of her security
department unwind in a holographic bar.
Dr. Ulinian believes he can erase all of what happened to Cady during his
recent ordeal, and Cady wants to try the procedure. Nova'Song approves the
power and computer memory requirements, but she tells Cady there are also
other ways of dealing with his memories. O'Leary also learns of Cady's plan,
and she tells him it's a bad idea. Even if he can erase his own memories,
everyone else will still know what happened.
Lt Kallesin 'n Galeda is reassigned from the Athene to the Horizon,
where he will be the new CSciO. He meets with some of his new colleagues.
Lt. Nova'Song feels uneasy around him, because she can't sense him with her
mind. At her request, he fixes a problem with the long range sensors. Later,
O'Leary asks him if he knows anything about the so-called Leprechaun, a
mysterious space-faring object she encountered while on the USS Destiny.
Nova'Song remembers seeing something like that during the Telmarc battle.
Suddenly, the Horizon's long-range sensors pick up a similar object.
Burke talks to his wife, who is on SB Omega for medical treatment. He misses
her deeply. Later, he receives orders for a new mission. The Horizon is to
make a series of diplomatic calls on the various non-aligned warp-capable
worlds in the Seeffoc Sector. However, first they will check out the
anomalous reading that might be the Leprechaun. Einicrox takes security
precautions in case the object turns out to be harmful.
LtCmdr. Seldon visits Dr. Vestra for information about the Seeffoc Sector.
They agree to discuss it over dinner.
Nova'Song reminds Burke that the crew needs to deal with the losses from the
battle. She also requests the occasional use of a shuttle to be able to
relax her mind in private. Later, Jamie Parr, the ship's chief diplomatic
aide, offers his services to Burke for the upcoming mission. Meanwhile,
Burke is having great trouble dealing with his own emotional burdens.
Noticing the captain's strange behaviour, Einicrox requests a word with him
in private. He opens up to her and after a long talk, he begins to recover.
He goes to sickbay, where Rademach continues with the work started by
Einicrox.

Gabriel Pelgrims and Cadet Nim Lister head over to the bar Club 101
where they run in to T'al, CNO of DS101.
Ensign Teel'a works with T'al on an investigation of theft of
Federation property that fell into the hands of Bacharan terrorists.
CPO Robert Nayesmith becomes the first suspect.
Many Nightingale and DS101 crewmembers and civilians prepare for the
Tournament, a celebration of many years of peace. Tim Burton starts
a Grav Ball tournament team called the `Console Room Snipers' and
signs up for the 'Action Phaser range' competition. Others such as
Cadet Lister are excited about entering the tournament, especially
the phaser competitions. Teel'a and T'al also join in on the Grav
Ball games.
The USS Yeager, under command of Commander Rudolf Fischer, arrives
to begin major overhaul in the shipyards. Their crew will soon join
DS101 and the Nightingale.
Lt Mao'Syllis leaves the holodeck with a head injury. In
sickbay, she finds she has a piece of metal from T'al's sword behind
her ear. She decides to lay off the holodecking for a while.
Ensign Meredith Tanari is allowed to leave the brig when Lt. Hanson
interferes. Her arrest appears to have been a mistake - a
consequence of Tanari's rocky past.
In the USS Nightingale Ready Room, Stuart, Canon, Mrell, and Hanson
discuss old times over drinks in anticipation of Captain Canon's big
announcement.
