COCOON FLEET
SITUATION REPORT

SB Omega
A barfight has been broken up, in the civilian owned bar, Oratios.
Security officer J'Nar has been abducted by forces unknown. The base XO
is currently on assignment, deep in the interior of the Cocoon, laying
beacons.
USS Fenris
The Fenris has left the Cocoon for the Cardassian-Klingon border area. Again
technical problems connected to the effects of the portal passage plague
various ship systems, a permanent solution to prevent them is in the works.
Anticipation and worries about the mission are taking place among the crew.
USS Athene
The USS Athene is still in orbit around Gaia, following a serious
security breach involving SMD Operatives. Their objective appears to be an
immature Xenomorph, now released and being kept under close observation
aboard the Athene. The CMO and Xenobiologist are handling the situation,
albeit without consultation with the CO or FO.
USS Heracles
Approaching the Irimada Sector, the crew is currently holding a party in
the Ship's Lounge to welcome it's new officers. The crew is using the time
to get to know each other before they arrive to Irimada.
USS Regulator
The USS Regulator is at Starbase Omega. The bulk of the crew has shoreleave
and the ship is undergoing rutiune maintaince in preperation of her next
mission.
USS Curie
Enroute to rescue the USS ARDENT, the crew of the CURIE is
battling a subspace field that is surrounding the ship, creating
illness among the crew, and concern of what they will discover
when an away team reaches the ARDENT.
USS Horizon
Medical staff continues to prepare for casualties from the surface. Beta
away team initiated contact and discovered that the telepathic Juun on the
planet were the result of an experiment gone wrong and in fact it was
these creatures that sent the initial distress signal. The crew may have
a cure for the mutations if the telepathic Juun want to take it. After
considering the offer to leave the somewhat primitive Juun decide that if
the members of Beta team can pass a ritual of truth (the Al'tha'likal)
they will be trusted by the colony. Beta team enters the cavern to
encounter some kind of unknown creature. Meanwhile Alpha team was
examining the environment and finding interesting data on some animals and
atmospheric conditions. An encounter with another group of the Juun leads
Alpha team to discover some details about the race and the possibility
that they may not be able to leave the planet despite the degrading
orbit.
Outpost 721
The WITCH IF ENDOR is in orbit around a moon in the Sagan system. The
moon was identified as the origin of narrow band subspace transmissions
directed at the Gandmara nebula. Na-Chem involvement is suspected but
unconfirmed at this point.
An away team lead by Ensign Alicia (CSO) with Ensign Foxx (CSciO) and
Ensign Jean (CEO) are beaming down to look for a possible sourse of the
transmissions. No lifesigns have been detected on the moon.
Meanwhile Outpost 721 is under Major McArthur's command where Na-Chem
activity is non-existant.
USS Phoenix
The Phoenix crew receive their new OPS officer LtMaj. Lancia a former
marine. Since joining Lancia has had to change his rank to a navel one, and
has had a disagreement with Commander Alkir over protocol. The crew have
now decided a plan of action. Ensign Tinkerbell will travel via a sub space
comm signal to the fifth planet, and remain invisible to the planet
population. Meanwhile Cmdr Alkir will lead an away team to the satellite.
The crew are now preparing a shuttle for "bunny hops" to the satellite.
USS Katana
Ship still in the shipyard under construction.
Additional Intelligence Report
Unsettling military preparations at the border between Cardassian Union
and the Klingon Occupied Zone.
Transmissions in the Sagan system detected by a Class IX probe are suspected
to be possible Na-Chem related.
Sijan class transport carrying Marine equipment and weapons attacked en
route to Omirax IV on the edge of the Cardassian Trucial Zone.
Surveillance sensors were sabotaged prior to the attack, and as such, the
raiders are unknown.
