The Vor'Cha class Attack Cruiser was originally proposed in 2356 and testing began of the prototype in 2358 with final approval of the design coming in 2359. By 2360 the Vor'Cha class Attack Cruiser was being produced in quantity by the Klingon Empire's main construction yards.

The Vor'Cha class Attack Cruiser is in standard use in the Klingon Empire, they once were among the largest and most powerful vessels in the Imperial fleet. They are still used as defense and war ships. Although they are somewhat older than the Negh'Var class ships they are still a match for a Galaxy class starship.

Notes

The Vor'Cha class cruiser features a MSM, which allows it to be tailored for specific missions. So far the only three distinct MSM pods recorded by Starfleet have all been weapon modules.

For a ship of her size the Vor'Cha class cruiser is highly maneuverable. Although even more so without the MSM which may be detached should the battle be turning against the Vor'Cha, therefore allowing for a quick get-away (a tactic rarely used by Klingon commanders).

The Vor'Cha class cruiser has an older style disrupter Projector, which runs directly off the ships warp power. Although hard to aim, if an enemy target is hit with a shot from the Disrupter Projector, it will be seriously damaged.

As with the majority of Klingon vessels the Vor'Cha class cruiser can cloak, and as with all larger vessels there is a slight power-transfer delay before the ship can fire it's weapons. For 2 seconds the ship has no weapons capabilities, after this 2 seconds the ship can only fire it's weapons at half-power(excluding torpedos), the power given to weapons slowly increases to full-power over 30 seconds. This is a distinct weakness in the design that a good Captain could take advantage of providing there is adequate warning that the Vor'Cha will attack - however there rarely is.

The Vor'Cha class cruiser is well suited for Deep Space assignments as well as serving as a formidable warship.
