**The tune to the song "Sympathy, Tenderness" belongs to Frank Wildhorn. I recently rediscovered this piece on my hard-drive, where it had been lurking since March of 2002. The strangest part is that I have almost no memory of why I wrote this particular parody. All I can remember is the fact that I wrote it while killing time, waiting for a ride to the airport. Beyond that, it's a blank. Go figure.**

Cleanliness, Spotlessness
By Zath Chauvert
yellow horizontal rule

(sung to the tune of "Sympathy, Tenderness" from Jekyll & Hyde)

Look at this - what a mess.
I need to clean house,
And laundry is no fun.

Cleanliness - spotlessness,
Strangers to this room
Clutter has overrun.

Washing and scrubbing
And dusting
I've not yet begun...

I need to vacuum
And rinse out the sink,
Jobs I shun...
It's a list of chores I know
I will never get done.
