Egyptis Information

Back to Desert
The Egyptis is a mystical animal that lives in the deserts of Egyptan, a place no mortals have ever seen. But they may also live in caves and in forests, though they like deserts the best. They lokk like foxes or wolves with two pairs of wings and three stripes on the back. They also have five foxtails and a pair of "feathers" on their head. They are patterned just like foxes with lighter areas at the end of their legs, tails and under the belly. There's 13 different colors of Egyptis; dark blue, light blue, black, dark green, light green, dark purple, light purple, dark red, light red, jade, grey, sun and white.
That's one of the reasons why they have been hunted down nearly to extinction. Another is their special ability to "dissapear" in the sand and "hypnotize" foes. But Egyptis are very caring and won't leave any other Egyptis in troble. This is why Egyptis are so easy to trap and catch.

They have 4 stages of growth; cocoon, cub, teen and adult. An adult egyptis can "lay" 2 cocoons every time she mates. In big groups egyptis often gather their cocoons in special places and le the teen females take care of them just for learning. But when the cocoon "hatches" it's the mother egyptan who takes care of the cub, feeding it and learning it. The father often feed the mother when she watches the slumbering cub.

Below is an animation that shows a jade egyptis growth.
