Days and Nights of the Cyborg

Rebuilt to be a better man
Little did I know that I would be trapped
IN a shell that was once mortal flesh
My eyes see ultraviolet and infrared
But I can't see colors anymore
My heart, once a constant, steady beat
Replaced by plastic and steel

Days and nights of the cyborg
No longer knowing the difference
between the light and the dark
Rotting flesh and shining steel
I can do a thousand things
But I don't know who I am

My brain is circuitry
My arms are gears and servos
To help me move at lightning speeds
Hydraulics to move my legs
Leap a mile into the air
Cast-iron stomach
I no longer need to eat

Programmed for self-preservation
I'll kill before I think
The perfect weapon
The ultimate machine
Sex is only a concept
My flesh is dead
Like an animal I howl
Crying to the moon
Whether it's day or night
Don't know if I'm sane
I really don't care
Such thoughts have no meaning
I am the cyborg
