A Little Rum

Well every now and then
Things can get a little slow
No bods, babes or cops

So pull out the bottle
And a few glasses
Just pour in two fingers worth
And down it, nice and quick

It's just
A little Rum
A little Rum
A little Rum
Don't worry now It's just a little rum...

Have it in your fruitcakes
Or drink it straight
Cook with it
Or read a book with it

Take a bottle
Lose the night
And sorrow to the drink

It takes
A little rum
A little rum
A little rum
Now it takes A little rum...

The doctors told Old Billy Bones
Not to drink this drink
For fear it'd kill 'im
He drank the bottle down
Sent Jim Hawkins runnin
And died
He didn't care
He'd had his little rum

Fate's with
A little rum
A little rum
A little rum
In her hands
A little rum...

Take the scotch
And the whiskey JD
And if your German
A bottle of snapps'll do ya
But for sophistication's sake
Let it be a little rum

The fun's in
A little rum
A little rum
A little rum
Right Billy?
Just give me
A little rum...
