Hmm....I did like 'Home', but it's one of those X-Files where I'm not sure if I'd watch it alot. Of course, certain scenes on the tape are nearly worn through from repeated watching, but I never watch the whole episode over and over again. The scenes in question that are imprinted into my memory are of course, the above scene, or the-scene-on-the-bench (well, duh!). I mean, look at the way Mulder is sitting, and Scully appears to be enjoying the view *beg*. Another favourite scene of mine is in Mulder's motel room, where he does the antenna dance *g*

Scully: Still thinking of setting up a home here?

Mulder: Nah...not if I can't get the Knicks game

Scully: Just as long as bundling infanticide doesn't weigh into your decision....G'night Mulder

Mulder: G'night MOM...

Another favourite scene of mine is where Mulder and Scully are trying to get the Peacock pigs to move

Mulder: Scully, would you think any less of me as a man if I told you I was kind of excited right now?

And, of course, only in the X-Files could Scully be seen quoting from the film 'Babe', and then, only the X-Files could actually bring the woman behind the voice of Babe the pig and give her a guest slot later in the series. Marvellous!

Reasons I didn't like this episode? It was just too violent, and more than that, it was unnecessary violence, especially concerning the murder of the sherrif and his wife. The Peacock brothers certainly went 'caveman', but I didn't see any reason or trigger for their violence. Also, as a student of genetics I thought some of the facts concerning this X-File were a little unrealistic. Like, how the baby went to term in the first place, and how cross breeding could produce such extreme abnormalities, as in the Peacock boys.

Overall, I liked the banter between Mulder and Scully, and the exploration of their characters. We found out little details about Mulder's childhood and Scully's hopes and fears for her own children. I would recommend that you watch it for the relationship aspect, but not if you are weak at heart!
